Awesome design
I have used this wall supply in 5 bathroom designs and it is by far the best design and the best looking for the completed project. There are no extra mounts for the hand held to clutter the space or brake as they are not built well like this one all the other ones we have used were just plastic. If you were to suggest this as an extra purchase each time you sell a hand set you would sell many more and have many happy customers.

Just what the doctor ordered
I needed a supply holder for the dog shower, and this really did the trick. Seems to be of very good quality. Adjustable head makes it easy to adjust to the angle you want and it stays there (even when lightly bumped).

Looks great and works well.
I bought this in mid January for a bathroom remodeling project.
I like the fact that it has the elbow mount, the handshower connection (to the shower valve) and the handshower handle all in one piece.

How far does the pipe/nipple have to stick out of the wall for this to be mounted?

Thank you for your question. The Delta U4985-PK should be installed on a nipple extending past the finished wall no more than 1/2" (13 mm) and no less than 1/4" (6 mm).

Is a chrome rather than black locknut available?
This chrome elbow/mount looks like it will work well for our handshower (also a Delta model) in our bathroom remodel. I'd prefer to minimize the black color, most noticeable in the locknut, so hope there is a chrome locknut we can use instead of the black.

The U4005-PK is the only shower mount that doubles as a water supply elbow as well. We offer U3001-PK which is a wall mount, but is not a water supply elbow.

The U4985-SS-PK Adjustable Wall Mount Elbow pipe thread is described as 1/2-14 NPSM-2B. I can't seem to find a nipple going from from 1/2 NPT male in-wall to 1/2 NPSM in the Delta elbow. Can you help?

Does this mount hold a "Delta Faucet 54436-PK Premium 5-Setting Hand Shower" properly ?

Have tried two chrome plated plastic elbow mounts similar to your U3401-PK that do not have the strength to hold up my Kohler flipside showerhead.
I was recommended by a distributor to try the U4985. I see it's solid brass (good) and a ball joint. Just want to be sure that this will have the rigidity and last over time to hold up the showerhead or do i need to go to a fixed wall mount type bracket with permanent fixed angle options?
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # U4985-PK is made of brass construction. It should not break due to the weight of the showerhead.

You did not read my question carefully.....
you did not answer my question correctly when i asked previously about this showerhead elbow. My question was not whether it was going to break, that's obviously not a concern when it is solid brass.
I'm worried about the rigidity of the ball joint connection and its ability to maintain it's postion wherever it's placed without falling down due to the weight of the showerhead, like the junky basic chrome plated plastic versions similar in design to your U3401-PK. Tired of replacing these to have the same thing happen, the Flipside won't hold up... too heavy for joint. Will this one hold its position better?
Thank you for your question and I apologize that it was not fully answered. The ball joint we use on Delta Faucet model # U4985-PK is the same ball joint that we use on our stationary showerheads. It should be able to hold the weight of your showerhead.
