A sensor on the back of the bowl monitors the water level in the bowl. If the water level rises to a critical point, the sensor will prevent additional flushes until the overflow issue is resolved, preventing water from spilling out of the bowl. The LED display will flash red and blue indicating that there is an issue.
Yes! You can put the toilet into a "sleep mode” by touching the sensor for 7 seconds. The sensor will begin to blink after 3 seconds (this is just letting you know that it is about to enter sleep mode). Once the light turns off, it will start to blink blue. Your toilet is now in sleep mode. It will stay asleep for 10 minutes, or the process can be repeated to manually take it out of sleep mode.
While there is no handle included on the toilets with FlushIQ technology, it is possible to actuate one manual flush in the event the FlushIQ technology is not operating properly. Simply lift the tank lid off the toilet and push down on the red, manual flush lever. This will require some force due to the weight of the water.

The multi-tool comes with every Delta toilet sold at retail. It is a single tool that can be used to complete the entire installation quickly and easily. One side of the tool is used for the nuts and washers that attach your bowl to the floor and your tank to the bowl. The other side of the tool can be used as a wrench to tighten your water supply line to the water connection in the wall. This tool also comes with a Phillips and flathead screw driver bit to assist with the seat installation.
CALGreen refers to the California Green Building Code, a statewide code relating to certain categories of residential and non-residential buildings. The code mandates a 20 percent reduction in water usage for toilets as compared to the industry baseline of 1.6 gallons per flush, resulting in a water usage requirement of not more than 1.28 gallons per flush.
