Summer time, you use more cold water, spring time it balances out, winter time you use more hot than cold. With this type of system, we will be changing it all the time. I'm wondering if Delta has a valve body that can be dropped into this one that will give full water pressure?

monitor valve doesnt get hot only warm prior shower got hot any thought

The cartridge in the 132900-A-WS faucet includes a rotational limit stop that can be adjusted to increase the amount of hot water through the cartridge. Pull the end of the cartridge and rotate counterclockwise to increase the hot water. I have 2 new delata shoer faucets 132900 installed, and even thought that the cartridge was adjusted all the way to the hot position, I still only get warm water. I can get hot water in the sinks but not the shower.

Is there supposed to be a plug for the hole in the handle meant for the allen wrench to connect the handle to the cartridge/valve? Without a plug water will easily get into the handle via this hole. There was no such plug in the box.

Can I change the Classic 132900-A (a 13 Series) at a later date for the Lahara Monitor 17 Series without having to change the Multi- Choice Universal Tub/Shower Rough that came with Classic 132900-A? (The 13 Series and 17 Series are interchangeable)?

Hello, Thank you for your question! You do not have to change the rough in the wall in order to upgrade from a 1300 series to a 1700 series. However, if the rough was installed before 2006 you can't use the cartridge that would come with your new 1700 series trim. Best Regards, Tim

Recommended maintenance for a drip or leak would be to replace the RP4993 seats and springs in the legs of the cartridge. The rubber may be damaged or worn over time. What is the size of the flat washer with screen that is found inside the shower head? My washer is warped and causing a leak at the showerhead connection. I visited several hardware stores and could not find a matching washer.

Does the included valve come with stops (WS model) and a pressure balancing cartridge? The description on the Home Depot site suggests it does, but the description on this site suggests otherwise.

I am installing this in a new cabin bathroom. I plumbed everything and used a small RV type pump to check for leaks ( no well yet). The shower only dripped while others flowed. Is this because my pump was low pressure (20-30psi) and it needs more PSI?

To do this, turn off the water supplies, remove the cartridge, and turn the supplies back on for one minute. Please make sure that you are getting good flow through both the hot and cold sides while flushing. You can also shake the cartridge back and forth to make sure the back half of the cartridge rattles. This means that the pressure-balancing spool is moving freely, as it should. Is there any way of putting the cartridge in backwards which would make the hot water cold in the cold water hot with the lever

What are the dimensions of the rough-in hole needed for the Monitor 13 Series shower valve?

Hello David! Thank you for your question! I am happy to help. We recommend using the plaster guard for the Delta 132900 as a guide for cutting the hole, which will create a 4" x 4" square hole. However, the hole can be cut round if it allows access to the screws for the escutcheon plate. Just obtained a unit with a Delta shower/bath fixture. Has a round plastic knob that turns left and right for hot/cold and up for water into the tub. Cannot see how to send water up to the shower head??

To stop the flow to the tub spout and use the showerhead, pull up the diverter on the tub spout. Some tub spout models may pull down on the diverter.
