Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Nice First off, this faucet is absolutely beautiful. It has a gorgeous stainless steel type finish on it and is deters water spots. The sad thing for me, is my friend ( who is a plumber) that was helping with the install, says this will not easily fit in my older home. My current faucet is a different brand and even with all the components this comes with, it would not fit. I would absolutely recommend double checking on that before you purchase. My house was missing a certain metal piece that was needed for install. I was disappointed because this would have looked absolutely beautiful in my shower.

I do wish it came with the tub plug cover to match but other than that I have zero complaints. I will look for delta products next time I need an upgrade

The shower head is perfect for spraying an even flow of water. It's just the right size in my tub/ shower. It was easy to assemble and very well made. The single handle is easy to use and the temperature stays steady. Overall, it's a nice, mid-priced upgrade that keeps the bathroom looking clean.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Shower Trim Set with a Great Pause Feature This set comes with the valve, handle and shower head, and the install was surprisingly easy. The instructions were clear, and everything fit together without any fuss. The finish looks great in person, and I like that it has Spotshield to help keep marks and fingerprints off the metal — curious to see how well that holds up over time. The standout for me is the pause setting. It drops the water down to a trickle but keeps the temperature exactly where you left it, which is perfect for shaving or just taking your time without wasting hot water. The different spray options are nice to have too, and the H2Okinetic feature does make the water feel fuller even though it uses less. I just installed it, but so far I’m really happy with it. Let’s see how it performs long term.

The SpotShield brushed nickel finish is gorgeous it gives my bathroom this clean, modern feel without constantly showing fingerprints or water spots. I love that it stays looking fresh with minimal effort. The water pressure and spray patterns are amazing too. The technology really does make a difference the water feels fuller and more luxurious, like something you’d get in a hotel shower. The temperature control handle is smooth and easy to adjust, which is a small detail but makes a big difference in daily use. The Installation was straightforward, and once everything was set up, it worked perfectly with no leaks or issues.

However, that was more on the fact of my own issues with the design of my bathroom and not the brand itself. I love DELTA home decor and appliances and I appreciate the design on this piece. I received the SANDOVER tub & shower set with a shower head that has 5 spray settings including H2O Kinetic Technology that offers 3x times more coverage in the shower than your average standard shower! I love the chrome finish on the style of the shower and faucet set it makes my bathroom look more modern and shines so much! I believe this could be easily installed and I would recommend this set for a medium to small bathroom size. I’m very impressed and excited to get into the shower now just to use my shower head and tub and faucet! The tub is a really calm streaming sound from the water pressure the faucet gives and it makes for a nice bubble bath! I highly recommend this for a family of 2 or more and would recommend over any other brand of bathroom remodeling appliances!

This was not an easy installation due to this is an 20 year old house but I definitely love this better than my old showerhead and water faucet. I love the way it looks and how the water comes out. It’s definitely upgrade and by far the best so far.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from DELAYED I was so excited when I was able to chose one of these shower sets because my kids had JUST broken the tub faucet part in their bathroom so it seemed meant to be and so perfect… but the shipping was super delayed and it took months to even arrive so I had to purchase one at the store to fix my kids bathroom well before this even arrived. This is a beautiful set and trusted brand so I will absolutely keep this for the moment the children break another one because kids are awesome.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nice looking but there are installation concerns The specs for the tub spout indicate that from the wall to the tip of the fitting can be no more than 3-1/2”. We cut the pipe from the wall precisely, soldered the fitting on, and the final length was 3-1/4”, a good 1/4” less than the available instructions, which you must search the site for because spout installation specs do not come with the product. So I was left with two options, buy a different spout, or rip out the tile shower we just finished installing so I can sweat some new copper pipe. This error in their available specifications online cost me over $300. If they only had a flange that could make up the 1/4” difference between the wall and the tub spout, you’d only be hearing praise for their products from me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really like this design cosmetically. I have bought three of the Sandover model in brushed nickel for a new construction. Overall two of the bathrooms are working well. However in the owners bath, I cannot get the shower to stop leaking from the thread. Water is shooting out in a small fine spray and also dripping down the head exterior. Otherwise, we really like the Sandover line and we have been Delta customers for thirty years.

I will be installing in a stand alone shower (no tub). Will this work? I understand that the tub spout will be surplus but is there a diverter valve that is also unnecessary?

I had the Sandover 144748-SP installed. Water comes out of the shower head fine.  When running bath, water comes out of front side of spout but only a little out of back half,  Water also comes out of the shower head.  What could be the problem?

Hi Brian B, Thank you for your inquiry! Most likely you are experiencing "shower-rise," where the water can’t get out of the spout as fast as it flows through the valve. This causes the water to back up and come out the shower head. There can be one of several reasons for this: 1. The valve could be upside down. 2. The length from the valve to the tub spout is outside of the 8" to 18" rule. 3. There is more than one 90-degree angle. 4. Something other than copper or galvanized pipe going to the spout was used. 5. The most common reason is that there is something restricting the water flow to the spout (for example, solder or something lodged in the pipe). Something is impeding the flow of water to the spout and causing it to back up and go out of the shower head. If this is the cause of shower-rise, it is possible to remove the blockage by removing the tub spout, and then feeding a plumber’s snake or a speedometer cable up through the tub drop. The act of feeding it causes it to twirl and loosen the blockage. Be sure to flush the valve before reinstalling the tub spout. Be sure to check the tub spout itself for blockage. If none of these help, you may need to call a plumber. After the shower has been installed and the wall has been closed, there is little that can be done to remedy this situation yourself. I am upgrading a bathtub/shower that originally had a two handle valve. Do you have or know of an escutcheon that will cover the existing valve holes and is compatible with the Monitor® 14 Series Tub & Shower Trim in Spotshield Brushed Nickel trim?

I installed a sandover shower and tub faucet. Item#144748.  I get warm water but no hot hot water What did I do wrong? Please

Hello Michael, Thank you for your question! The cartridge assembly that comes with the Delta Sandover Tub and Shower 144748 faucet has a Rotational Limit Stop, which can be adjusted to allow for less or more hot water. However, at the hottest setting the handle will rotate to about the 10 o'clock position.
