great but not for commercial use
We bought for our church bathroom. there are 3 different ways to use this faucet, which is maybe a bit much for a commercial bathroom. However, we have signs and explanations given regularly of how to make this a "no touch" faucet for germ transfer in a public place. It is beautiful and seems well built.

Unreliable over time; warranty replacements are failing
We initially bought the first version of these and the finish pitted so Delta replaced them. The second version was an improved different design and included the LED turning red when the water was hot. They worked well for about a year then we have had issues with the faucets turning on by themselves even with fresh batteries. They have been a disappointment over the last 5 years and we are going to scrap them and buy a different manufacturer's version. Our beef is not with Bild - we bought a bunch pf Delta products when we remodeled and all have been fine except these touch faucets in the bathroom. We're done with Delta touch technology.

Wonderful Product!
I really enjoy my Delta touch faucet. It's really handy and saves water. When we travel and stay in hotels, I touch the faucet there out of habit and am always surprised when it doesn't turn off. I highly recommend Delta touch faucets. And they have a lifetime guarantee, so you don't have to worry about repairs when something happens. (very rare)

had a touch faucet in the kitchen and love it. bought a touch for the bathroom a didn't;t realize until I installed it that it also had the proximity mode. Only downside is my cat loves to play with it.

Only had couple of weeks but love the no touch feature. Shuts off in 5 seconds. Tap and it stays on until you tap again. Great faucet. High enough to easily wash hair in sink.

Beautiful, functioned well for seven years
Double sinks, same faucet. One has lasted for seven years in good shape, the other has gone kaplut. Maybe seven years is a good return. It is a beautiful faucet!! I personally think it is a waste to have touch, motion, and timed functions. Just get the regular one, beautiful, functional, and less to go wrong.

Great features
I bought this faucet a couple of months ago. The installation was fairly straight forward. The only problem I had was that the faucet would randomly turn on/off for about 5 seconds several times per day. I contacted Delta and after sending several pictures of the installation and several back and forth emails, they sent me a new solenoid. I installed the new solenoid and the faucet so far has been working as it should.

CLASSY FAUCET
I just completed a powder room remodel and used this faucet on a granite counter top with white undermount oval sink. It looks great. I love the finish using the Champagne Gold and was able to match it close enough with a new light fixture. It is so easy to use with the touch control sensor control. I have had no problems with any of the features. I highly recommend.

Awful finish!!
We bought two of these faucets for our master bath and the matching faucet set for our Roman tub. We had the touch technology in our kitchen and it worked so well. The bathroom faucet that is used the most started to corrode within 6 months. I contacted Delta and they sent a replacement one. Six months later and we had the same problem. This time Delta offered one at half price. The other faucet was also corroding. I ordered the half price one and have waited until I can't stand the corrosion to replace it. The touch tech has worked well but the blue/red light stopped working on both faucets. I think the single lever is part of the problem. Not sure what to do next.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I LIKE THE LOOK OF THE FAUCET. IT IS WELL CONSTRUCTED OUT OF STURDY MATERIALS. THE FINISH WIPES DOWN EASILY. I THINK THE ONLY ISSUE THAT I HAVE IS WITH THE MOTION FEATURE TO WORK THE LEVER NEEDS TO BE UP. AND MOST PEOPLE JUST NATURALLY PLACE IT IN THE DOWN POSITION. I ORIGINALLY HAD THE VERSION WITH JUST THE TOUCH ON/OFF FEATURE (WHEN I THOUGHT I HAD ORDER THIS VERSION) AND AFTER TRADING OUT FOR THIS VERSION I THINK FOR THE PRICE DIFFERENCE I WOULD JUST HAVE STAYED WITH THE ONE WITHOUT THE MOTION FEATURE. THE TOUCH FEATURE ALSO REQUIRES THE LEVER TO BE IN THE UP POSITION. I THINK REALLY FOR THIS TO FULLY EFFECTIVE I WOULD HAVE LEFT THE LEVER OFF COMPLETELY. THAT WAY WHEN THE PERSON APPROACHES THE FAUCET EITHER THE MOTION OR TOUCH FEATURE WOULD TURN ON THE FAUCET.

Great features of both "touch and sensing" technology for turning on and off. My faucet has been installed for about 1 1/2 now and I'm beginning to experience some electronic issues with the "on/off" solenoids. The first issue is solenoid does not turn off when water temperature is running hot, by sense or touch. When I move the level over to cold for 10-15 seconds, the solenoid begins functioning again. Solenoid doesn't like hot. Second issue now is water mysteriously turns on and off. Blue light is flashing in series of two flashes. Next step will be a test of customer service. Will update later....

problems with solonoid on 2 faucets
Bought 2 of the Touch 20XT bath faucets and installed them. Instalation was very easy. One faucet the soloniod was bad and it dripped all the time. The 2nd faucet had problems with the sense function and would not turn on when placing hands under. Talked to customer support and they were great and sent me 2 new solinods. I installed them and the leak was fixed on the one, and the sense was fixed on the other. After about 2 weeks the sense stopped working again. I called Delta support and they had me check everything and decided the faucet had to be replaced. I'm waiting for the new replacement faucet. I like the faucet, it had the latest features. It was very easy to install. I worry about the reliability since I've had some problems. I've used Delta for a long time and they back up thier products, so I know they will take care of me.

Finish is deteriorating and pitting
While I am quite happy with the function of the faucet, its exterior finish is pitting like a facial blemish. This is only 4 months after installation. A deciding factor in purchasing the Delta product, besides its technology, was its durability experienced with our kitchen faucet installed four years ago. Now I have go to trouble of contacting the company and paying again for the installation of a replacement

This Faucet is Terrible
This faucet is terrible. The touch and motion sensors go off randomly and cannot be adjusted! I bought this faucet because we just installed a similar Moen faucet in the kitchen which works flawlessly. Unfortunately Moen doesn't make a bathroom faucet with motion sensors.

Lahara Single Handle Touch2Oxt Bathroom Faucet
Typical high quality Delta fixture. It was my first Touch installation. No issues at all with install. However, the fixture has cost me extra money. Two days after install, bride declares Kitchen fixtures must now be Touch activated. Sigh.

touch faucet design problem
First the LED light for the sensor does not work. Delta is sending a replacement but I have to disassemble and install (again). Worse the design of the solenoid valve location interferes with the drain rod - rubs the plastic pipes and valve box. I cannot installed this rod (to the sink drain) because of the potential for a leak. You cannot move the box to either side without putting it in a bind. A touch drain for the sink doesn't work due to the tail piece is metal and interferes with the sensors. I you can live without a sink drain, you can use this faulty product. Also, Delta reps kept saying no manuf defect.---Right!

Very nice product.
We purchased this faucet as a replacement. The no touch technology is awesome and is really great for the grandkids since they do not need to touch anything when they wash their hands. They can simply waive their hand under the faucet -- it automatically turns off when they are drying their hands. It was a little tricky at first to get the hang of it but now it is second nature.

Touch / motion works great
Great looking. Touch turns on / off for about 60 seconds. Motion sensor turns on for about 5 seconds. Both work great.

Fanastic faucet when it works.
I love this faucet when it works, but it has stopped working twice in the year that I've had it because of defective solenoids. Delta customer service has been excellent in supplying the necessary repair parts in speedy fashion, but it is frustrating to be without a bathroom faucet for a week or two every six months.

Fun to use!
This facet is fun to use and conserves water. The elongated spout makes bending over the sink a thing of the past. The facet was installed easily by a professional handyman. Easy to keep clean.

manual function
Can this faucet turn on manually. I am considering purchasing it for my mom's bathroom. She has Alzheimer's and I want to make sure she does not leave the faucet running all day.
Hi Delta Fan, Thank you for your question. You can place the model 538T-RB-DST in manual mode by turning the faucet on and with the water running disconnect the battery pack. If the faucet is left on in the Touch mode it will only run for 1 minute with no activity before shutting itself off.

Does the Lahara bath faucet have a baseplate for an 8" 3-hole spread?

Thank you for your question. The only escutcheon plate available for the Delta 538T-DST faucet is the RP51346 which is 6 1/2" (165 mm). There is not an 8" option available.

Is there a way to adjust the motion sensitivity of this faucet?
I would like to extend the motion sensitivity of the faucet by a couple of inches. The water shuts off when people are soaping their hands and then takes a couple more waves of the hand (sometimes more) to get it flowing again.
If the proximity can't be adjusted, can the motion sense be shut off completely so it becomes a touch faucet?

Why is supplied pop up needed?
I'd rather not pull apart the plumbing under my sink. The installation manual says that the supplied pop up is required for proper function. Why?

The pop up assembly supplied with the faucet is manufactured to work with the touch faucet. Other pop ups may interfere with the touch technology.

Re-activate Sensor on 538T-SS-DST
How do you re-activate the sensor on the 538T-SS-DST? It appears the sensor was accidentally de-activated, however, I cannot find re-activating instructions. I tried the same de-activating instructions to 'undo' the procedure and the light flashes blue and red but the sensor still does not work. Removed and re-installed the batteries and it does not re-activate the sensor. The batteries are fully functional as displayed by the strong blue light. The faucet works fine when it is physically touched to start and stop the water flow. I have two of these faucets that were professionally installed at the same time and the other faucet is working ok.

You may delete the "Re-activate Sensor on 538T-SS-DST" question in its entirety. After several attempts, I was able to re-activate the sensor feature using the same de-activating procedures. I do however recommend the "Quick Tips" instructions which state the procedures for the sensor that came with the faucet be added to your website. I finally found my hard copy of these "Quick Tips" but would have been helpful if the website had them available. Thanks.

Please explain the differences between Lahara faucet 15938t and 538t?

Thank you for your question. The 538T-DST faucet is a Touch Proximity faucet that you're able to 'wave' your hand at the faucet to turn on and off the faucet. You can also touch the faucet to turn on as well!
The 15938T-DST is a Touch faucet only. It does not have the Touch Proximity where you can 'wave' your hand at the faucet to turn on and off.

Thank you for your question! With the Touch2O feature on, the faucet will need to be activated by touch or proximity, and will automatically shut off after 2 minutes. In manual mode (power supply removed) the faucet will not automatically shut off.
