Either defective or terrible quality
Either defective or terrible quality. The holder is coming far off from the wall looks really bad. It does screw tight, the threads doesn’t tighten up to the end. Quality is terrible, it is plastic. You spend a lot for plumbing to install the system inside the wall then when the trim comes you get a shock but get stuck in a situation. Don't buy it you will get extremely disappointed at the end. It's a waste of money

Terrible Flow
While the wand looks nice, the water flow is disappointing—it dribbles out and is virtually useless. Consumers expect high-quality products from a well-respected brand like Delta. Unfortunately, this one falls short. Rating: 1/10. Would not recommend.

is this style of hand shower able to be hooked up to the shower head of the trinsic trim kit?
im looking at T14459 SSLHD with the tub spout. is there a kit/way to attach it right to the shower-head with a switch/diverter right at the shower head instead of having to install the hand shower hose into the wall? i do like this simple wall bracket that doest get installed into the wall, obviously(i dont like the vertical bar/slider style wall mounting bracket style that some hand showers have)

I want to plumb hand shower 55085 as a seperate fixture, not with a diverter from a shower or tub. Can I use trim T17253 and valve R10000-unbx w/ it?
Hi James, Thank you for your question. If you want to use the 55085 as the only shower head we recommend going with the T17053 valve only trim, the R10000-UNBX, and the 50570 wall elbow. If you plan on using the showerhead that comes with the T17253 trim and the 55085 hand shower you will have to install some type of either shower arm diverter or an in wall diverter using our R11000 diverter rough and the T11853 diverter trim.

No, we do not recommend taking the hand shower apart. For cleaning we recommend soaking it in a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water.

Can I purchase a 48” hose instead of the 60” that comes standard?

Is there a filter inside that I can clean? Is it located at the base of the hose or at the nozzle itself?

Our Delta 55085 will need to have an elbow, part number 50560. Then the Trim T17459 will work best with the R100000-UNWS. This will allow you to shut the main water off at the shower instead of the whole house. Lastly you will need a diverter valve R11000 and the matching trim T11859 to allow water to be diverted to the hand shower.

I have the handheld unit but need the part that connects it to the water supply. I have a 3-way diverter in place so the handheld is not connecting to the shower head but a separate water source.

I recommend connecting the hand shower to a wall elbow that is plumbed to a diverter valve. You would need a diverter to control whether the water flows to the showerhead or the hand shower.
