Thank you for your question, Charles! First, turn the water off at your shut off valves. Remove the handle with the provided allen wrench and unscrew the cap and bonnet nut by turning counter-clockwise. The cartridge simply lifts out of the valve body and replaced with the new cartridge. Re-install the handle and turn the water back on to test the faucet. Hi Edmyz, thank you for your interest in the 551-CZ-DST! The noise you are speaking of is caused by debris, we would recommend flushing the faucet to get rid of any debris. Please shut water supplies off before starting this process, also grab a towel, and a bucket. Hi Nick N, Thanks so much for contacting Delta Faucet Company! It is possible that a flush could resolve this issue. To flush the supply line, first shut off the hot and cold-water supply. Remove the hot supply line from the shut-off valve and place the line into a bucket. Open the handle to the fully open middle position, and then turn the cold supply back on for one minute. The cold water should flow through the faucet and out the hot supply tube. Reconnect the supply line and repeat with the second line. Please reach out with further questions! For models produced after 01/23/2022, the aerator is part number RP101953-1.2. For models produced prior to 01/23/2022, the aerator is part number RP54977. The date of manufacture can be found on the supply line tag. You can purchase Delta Faucet products at many local dealers and internet sites. To flush the unit, we recommend the following: Start with the easy stuff: Remove your aerator, wand or hose to check the flow through the unit without that part installed. If the flow is good, the piece you’ve removed is where the issue is. Soaking the part in a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water could help remove any particles or debris blocking the flow. If the water does not have a good flow, the problem could be in the faucet. Next, check the supply lines for debris: Turn the supply off to both the hot and cold-water lines. Once off, turn the handle on the faucet to the on position and leave it there to bleed the lines of any excess water. Next, disconnect the hot water supply line and place it inside a bucket. Models made before 01/23/2022 included a pull rod drain. Dryden faucet models 3551-MPU-DST and 2551-MPU-DST currently include a pull rod drain. Please reach out if you have any additional questions! We recommend soaking a rag in a 50/50 solution of white distilled vinegar and water and then wrapping it around the handle; using a rubber band to secure the rag to the base of the handle for at least 30 minutes.
