Rated 1 out of 5 by from The upgrade was not an upgrade! I am so disappointed. I bought kitchen fixtures and these bath fixtures in champagne bronze. I couldn't be more unhappy. The champagne bronze color spots terribly and doesn't ever look clean. Besides that the faucet flow is weak, but manages to spray little drops of water all over my stomach while I'm standing there using it. Seriously, would not recommend at all!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Champagne Bronze shows every spot of water I have serious buyer's remorse and wish I'd done more research first. After completing my first ever remodeling project and spending serious money on these faucets at a plumbing supply company, I am VERY disappointed that they need CONSTANT upkeep or they appear dirty and smudgy. If you don't meticulously dry them with a towel after each use, every tiny drop of water dries to a spot on the faucets. I trust that they are well-made, durable pieces, but I almost don't want them to last because of all the maintenance they require. I attached a photo AFTER wiping, and I don't have hard water..

Does the water come out straight down or at a slight angle. Degree of spray? Thank you

Asked by: JACKIE W
Thank you for your question, Jackie W! The water coming out of the spout of the Delta Vero Lavatory 553LF faucet would flow straight down, due to the stream straightener in the end of the spout. https://media.deltafaucet.com/PartsDiagram/DPD-L-553LF.pdf Best regards, Tanya

We want to buy this faucet but I'm concerned about all the reviews on splashing. Is there a certain type of sink that works best with this type of faucet to avoid splashing. We are building a house and I need to spec the sink as well.

Asked by: Barry
Thank you for your question, Barry. We recommend installing the faucet so that the water falls into the drain or onto the stopper. If you have any further questions, please feel free to call us at 1-800-345-3358 or email customerservice@deltafaucet.com. We’d be happy to help! Best regards, Jon

Can a bathroom sink faucet be installed in a bidet?

I'm planning to buy the 553LF faucet for my sink but I'm have trouble finding a matching bidet faucet. Can this one be installed in a bidet?
Asked by: Kermitgi
Dear Kermitgi, Thank you for your inquiry! The Delta Vero Lavatory 553LF has a flow rate of 1.20 GPM at 60 PSI, this would be to low of a flow rate and no proper connections for a bidet install. Best regards, Tanya

Splash---?

Now I am afraid!-My husband said we could just turn down the taps under the sink---? Hate the thought of paying plumber twice. Also I will hate having a mess. Can we just adjust water under cabinette? Also what pop up drain? I want a large mushroom push top that covers the drain hole completely with no company name stamped on it. I don't want the drain that comes with it.
Asked by: Margo
HI Margo, Thank you for your question. Turning down the water supplies under the counter will reduce the flow to the model 553LF faucet. You could also replace the 1.5 gallon per minute flow regulator in the faucet to one with a lower flow rate. We offer a 1.0 gpm RP73838 and a 0.5 gpm RP78837 flow regulator. The regulator is located under the valve cartridge in the faucet. Our model 72172 push pop-up less overflow, or the 72173 push pop-up with overflow is the style of drain assembly with the large mushroom push top with no brand information stamped on the cover. Thanks, Dave

Is it possible to change the angle of the temperature valve - we have a backsplash that will be very close and when turning the valve to “hot” it will bump in to the back splash.

Asked by: Andy4567
Hello Andy4567, Thank you for your question. The Delta Vero Lavatory 553LF faucet must be installed with the handle on the right. The handle pulls out, away from the body to turn on and give cold water. Pull the handle towards you to get hot water. Best regards, Tanya

Has anything been done to fix the splash issue with this faucet? I have reduced the flow at the shut-off to almost nothing and it still splashes. Would a new stream regulator help (RP76571)? or is it the way it is?

Asked by: Bobs
Thank you for your question, Bobs! I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing splashing from your Delta 553LF faucet. We do not recommend removing the stream straightener as this part is not designed to be easily removed. Instead, you can soak a rag in a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water and apply around the spout for an hour or even overnight to help break up any debris that maybe causing the splashing issue. We would also recommend either using a low gallons per minute flow regulator such as part number RP73838 or simply turning the supply lines down halfway or until the splashing stops. https://media.deltafaucet.com/PartsDiagram/DPD-L-553LF_A.pdf Best Regards, Rosanna

Is there a way to eliminate excessive spash from the basin with the Vero faucet?

We recently bought a spec house which has 4 Vero faucets. Despite the beauty and innovation, we are concerned about the large amount of splash that this faucet puts out. The builder said that it was because there was no aerator. Is there any way to minimize the splash? We have tried turning down the supply tubes, but that doesn't seem to help.
Asked by: Tom L.
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 553LF may have a splash effect depending on the size and shape of your sink. The easiest way to combat this is to turn down the force of water coming out of your faucet.

Hi, I see that the lever is pulled down to turn the water on, I am assuming cold water, but how do you turn it to get hot water? Are you able to remove the flow restrictor and is the bowl stopper the push in the sink like the 3553LF? Thank you, Sydney

Asked by: SYDNEY
Hi, Sydney! Thank you for your question. The Delta 553LF faucet handle pulls out, away from the body to turn on and give cold water. Pull the handle towards you to get hot water. The flow restrictor in the faucet is non-removable. The stopper for the drain assembly is a push pop up. Best Regards, Rosanna

can this faucet be used for a square 5.5" high vessel sink?

Asked by: Grit
Grit, Thank you for your question. The faucet could be installed with a 5.5" vessel sink. However, the spout will drop below the rim of the bowl at 5 1/4" above the deck surface. The vessel version of this faucet is model 753LF. The end of the spout on this model is 9 9/32" above the deck. Asked by: Chris
Hi Chris, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model 553LF-SS. The stream straightener at the end of the spout is not designed to be easily removed. If needed, a replacement stream straightener is available as part number RP76571. We recommend using needle nose pliers to work it out of the spout. Recommended maintenance is to soak the area with 50/50 white vinegar and water if needed for mineral deposits. Cold water runs strong however hot water runs very restricted not a strong flow. No kinks in lines and no apparent blockage in lines. Is there an adjustment? Suggestions? Delta Vero 553LF-SS 4 years old

Asked by: Steve
Hello Steve, We apologize for any issue with your Delta Faucet 553LF-SS. We are happy to help. The issue is likely debris in the supply line or faucet. We recommend removing the supply lines and flushing with water into a bucket. Then, remove the faucet cartridge and flow restrictor to flush water through the faucet valve. Use a bucket to redirect the water that will shoot from the valve. If the issue remains, replace the cartridge RP50265. We moved into a house that has these but in the round design - the top looks the same but the bottom is round instead of square.  One of them has very low water flow.  Both faucets have green corrosion where the water exits.  What can we do?

Asked by: Paul
Hello Valued Customer, Thanks so much for contacting Delta Faucet Company! It is possible this issue can be resolved by cleaning the product. We recommend you try soaking the product in a 50/50 solution of water and white distilled vinegar. This could break up any possible calcium buildup inside. If the faucet exhibits very low flow: SHUT OFF WATER SUPPLIES. Remove the handle, trim cap, bonnet nut, and valve. Remove the adapter using long nose pliers. Remove the flow regulator using an O-ring pick or similar tool. Clean any debris from inside surface of flow regulator. When reinstalling parts, ensure bonnet nut is tightened securely with wrench. Failure to securely tighten bonnet nut with wrench could result in water damage. Please reach out with further questions! Best Regards, Kelley Digital Communications Specialist
