I am having the plumber return to rotate the handle to the left, which is not intuitive, but I discovered that I use a bathroom sink while holding something in my right hand and want to control the water from the left.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful faucet, strange flow Bought 3 of these and one had a really restricted flow. Fergusons accepted the return and the we bought another faucet and it works like the other 2 now. It could be the California restrictions, but the water doesn't seem aerated like we're used to. The flow is supposed to be 1.2 gpm, but I wonder if we got the 0.5 gpm aerator in the units. All of the piping in the faucet is very small diameter so the aerator can get clogged pretty easily. Don't lose the tool that removes the aerator because you can't get it out any other way.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great look for bathroom I purchased a pair of these faucets for a bathroom remodel. Loved the clean look and simple lines. Unfortunately the plumber installed them with handle on left hand side which would then make lever push back towards wall for hot water. I had him come back and turn it around. It is a nice solid faucet. When I use it and turn it off the pex piping that came attached sounds like it vibrates or shakes as there is a noise and not a smooth turn off of water with the handle. Hoping that will resolve itself with continued use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Noisy Faucets - Flawed Design I purchased 4 of these faucets for 2 different bathroom remodels (two black, two champagne bronze). 2 of them were ridiculously noisy when operating. I am not being picky here, the noise is unbearable. I approached Delta to find a solution, and to their credit they sent replacement cartridges (did not fix the problem) and 2 new faucets (they had the same issue!). I invested a lot of time into troubleshooting (new cartridges, replacement faucets, swapped faucets and water supply lines, flushing, decreasing supply line pressure, etc.) and there is no solution. Eventually we narrowed the noise down to the discharge line/puck area. I believe it is water cavitation in that area. Unfortunately, this seems to be a ubiquitous issue with these faucets and one that really detracts from their function. After a lot of persistence on my part, Delta customer service tried to help, but they have a flawed product that cannot be addressed with customer service-based solutions. As nice looking as these faucets are, I cannot recommend them because this is a huge problem. I really wish Delta would acknowledge this problem and offer a solution (new puck/discharge line may work).

Not sure if it’s bc the contractor put them too far back from the sink dish. What kind of sinks do you recommend so water drips from hands into sink from lever? I think the water is leaking from the one hole base. So sad because we upgraded to this single hole line to have less water and buildup on the sink but these aren’t functioning in that way! Instead we have water damage on the wall because of water leaking from the base! The contractor said these were new but looked used with water damage marks on them too! So not sure if it’s the product or the contractor being the problem! But these don’t have a strong flow or pressure! Even the shower head is awful and makes it so hard to wash my hair because there aren’t enough holes and pressure in their shower head line! I’d say don’t go with “this” upgrade and maybe find a different brand than delta!

If I need to fill something I usually use my tub faucet now because these faucets are so darn slow. I don't live in an area that is short of water so wish the restrictor was optional.

We installed it without the gasket because it ruined the look. The plumber said we may have more maintenance issues installing without the gasket. The plumber suggested asking Delta for a clear gasket, but I don't see one offered.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Three of four have leaked We had two of these faucets installed in our bathroom in 2018. One of them developed a slow leak that dripped out the body of the faucet from underneath in early 2021. Delta provided a replacement and we paid a couple hundred dollars to have it installed. In early 2022, the other faucet developed the same leak and damaged an area of hardwood floor in the adjacent room. Delta again provided a replacement faucet and we paid for the rest. Then a few months later the first replaced faucet developed the same slow leak. This time Delta says they won't replace it without a video of the leak. It's literally a drip every few minutes. Not practical to video, but if we leave the water lines on to the faucet, it will continuously leak water under the sink and destroy our house. Not only would I not recommend this specific faucet, but I wouldn't recommend any Delta product. The faucets leak and the company doesn't stand behind their products.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Finish fades to chrome in 3 years time Three years ago we were very pleased with this faucet, the lines, color and functionality were great but after only three years the finish is fading. We do not wipe this down with bleach and are not sure why this is happening. Is it simply hard water that is making the finish fade? Very disappointed that we will soon have to have a plumber pull this out.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Design Issue I bought a Delta Essa faucet for my kitchen and 2 Delta 559HA-DST Trinsic faucets for my bathroom. The Essa and Trinsic faucets have similar designs; however, on the Essa faucet, the handle faces straight up for cold water but, on the Trinsic faucets, the handle faces down/out for cold water. Like the Essa, the Trinsic looks so much better when the handle is in the up position (like in the picture for the Trinsic used in the catalogue), but that's the hot water position. Since cold water is used far more often than hot water, I believe that the handle up position should have been used for the cold water position and that the Trinsic has a design flaw. I like the look of the faucets and they function adequately, but the handle issue lessens the faucet's appeal to me and accounts for my rating. I hope that someone at Delta pays heed to my critique.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice European look Bought five of these for the house we built. Looks good, and the swivel covers more of the sink than a fixed faucet. Highly recommend trying to see one of these in action before purchase--the aeration scheme leaves a fairly thin stream of water; you might prefer a more aerate stream. (Side note: we also bought a Trinsic kitchen faucet--it had the handle directions for hot and cold reversed; I still sometimes have trouble moving from one to the other.)

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointing Had these faucets installed by the plumber a couple of days ago. I’m hey look beautiful, but my designer, the contractor, the plumber and me all said at the same time, “what’s going on with the water pressure and the flow?” It was so wimpy. It would take me forever to wash my hair in the sink, and my hair is short. The plumber looked for water restricters but found none. I don’t know why there’s an aerator in there because there’s nothing to aerate, the flow is so small. The diameter of the stream coming out from the opening of the faucet is around a 1/4”, then tapers to almost nothing when it hits the sink. These 2 Delta faucets are replacing Delta faucets that weren’t as pretty, but worked a lot better. The flow was the diameter of the whole aerator and with good pressure. My total bathroom remodel makes me very happy, except for the faucets. I’m sorry, but the are very disappointing. Can anything be done to make them work better?

1) can the faucet be limited not to spin 360°? 2) I’m use to supply lines being simple tightened against the ¼ turn under sink ball valve. The one pictured looks like it fits insite the ¼ turn ball valve. How do I know it’ll fit my ⅜ ball valve

Thank you for your question, Chrome Doam! Model 559HA-DST can not be tightened to the point where it can not swivel. This model has a ceramic cartridge inside the handle, instead of a ball assembly. This model would include 3/8 inch PEX water supply lines coming directly from the faucet, that connect directly to the hot and cold water shut offs. The water lines included with the faucet are the only ones that can be used. Best Regards, Benjamin

How should I clean my brand new champagne bronze faucet? I don't want to risk any damage to the beautiful finish.

Hi Kathleen W, Thank you for your question. Failure to properly clean and care for a faucet will cause damage that is not covered by the warranty. Although the finish is extremely durable it is possible to damage it. A comprehensive list of cleaners is impossible to recommend because of the variety of materials that are a part of our many models of faucets. What may be fine for a spout may damage a handle. To clean, simply wipe gently with a damp cloth and blot dry with a soft towel. Stubborn hard water spots are best avoided by this daily regime. If extra measure is needed, a solution of 50% white vinegar (never Apple vinegar) could be used by wiping, spraying or soaking. Caution: Vinegar can permanently damage porous rock surfaces such as granite or limestone countertops. Use extreme care if such a surface is in the vicinity. To soak a faucet or part still on a faucet: 1. Mix white vinegar and tap water to a half and half proportion. 2. Put a rag or towel in the solution to soak it up. 3. Wrap the rag or towel around the part. 4. Let sit for up to an hour or so. 5. Use the rag or a clean, soft toothbrush to scrub the remaining hard water buildup. o Avoid harsh abrasives or polish o Avoid bleach-based cleaners o Avoid industrial cleaners and abrasive cleaners, such as those used for toilet bowls, green Scotch-Brite heavy duty scrub sponges, Scrubbing Bubbles Bathroom Cleaner and Lysol Basin Tub, Soft Scrub, and Tile Cleaner. o Avoid products that state on the label that they remove tarnish and rust, and those containing hydrofluoric, hydrochloric and/or phosphoric acids and caustic agents. o Because cleaning formulas can change without notice, Delta Faucet Company does not endorse any specific cleaner. https://www.deltafaucet.com/design-innovation/inspiredliving/how-to-clean-a-faucet Best regards, Tanya

Could this be used as a beverage faucet at the kitchen sink? It looks very similar to the kitchen pull down sink faucet, and the beverage faucets available don't match the style or design of the Trinsic line. I'm just curious how the unseen plumbing would match up with a water filtration system? Thanks for the assistance.

Hi anniebanaknee, Thank you for your question! This faucet could be used on a kitchen sink, however it differs from a beverage faucet in that it has both hot and cold supply lines rather than just one line. The connection on the end of the supply lines are 3/8" compression fittings, just like on our beverage faucets. However, our beverage faucets come with an option air gap for reverse osmosis filters. Hi, Rose! Thank you for your question. The Delta 559HA-DST faucet does include a push-pop up drain assembly that does not need a lift rod to operate.
