Rated 5 out of 5 by from Delta bronze faucets Worth every penny. These are built to last and and are beautifully designed

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Faucet I bought a new faucet with great trepidation. Most things are pretty junky these days, but I knew as soon as it arrived I had chosen well. It's heavy, sturdy, and feels like a quality piece of equipment. The finish was beautiful. Even the packing material was sturdy. It was just installed today so I haven't had a chance to use it. I hope it will perform as well as it looks.

Q&A

Does the lever have a small turn radius?

We recently received this faucet and noticed the lever has a very small turn radius. It seems it would be very difficult to control the temperature with such a small radius. Is this by design and is the lever sensitive to small adjustments?
Asked by: hawaii808
Yes and it takes some getting used to.

Is the 564-MPU-DST stainless valve purchased from Home Depot or any other box store, the same as a valve with the same part number purchased from a specialty plumbing store? I have been told that the quality of the valve is different. Maybe just the cost.

Asked by: Handy Man
Hi, Handy Man! Thank you for your question. We appreciate your interest in Delta faucets. All Delta faucets feature the same quality parts, materials, and workmanship, no matter what kind of dealer sells them. Delta retail dealers usually sell faucets that include the handles in the boxes. Plumbing professionals and Delta Studio Showrooms sell faucets where the faucets and handles are packaged and sold separately ("LHP" models), giving the customer some additional styling choices. However, the quality of all Delta faucets is the same. Best Regards, Rosanna

Have already Ashlyn taps for the sinks and was going to use same for the Roman filler - reno has gone a different direction and I would like to use a freestanding tub filler...is there an Ashlyn version or what is the closest handle and spout to match?

Asked by: canadian_remoob
Thank you for your question, canadian_remoob! The Delta Ashlyn collection does not have a standing tub filler option currently and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. The Delta Stryke free standing Floor Mount Tub Filler, model T47766-SSFL would be the closest stylistically. https://www.deltafaucet.com/bathroom/product/T47766-SSFL Best regards, Edward

How long is the spout from the faucet to the edge?

I need to know how long the spout is so I can determine how far the spout sits over the sink.
Asked by: ChrisfromLI
Hi Chris, Thank you for your question. The spout on the model 564-SSMPU-DST measures 5-1/8" from the faucet center to the middle of the water stream. Here is a link to the spec sheet. http://www.deltafaucet.com/customersupport/documentation/564-ssmpu-dst.html?document=ts&fromDetailArea=bath&documentIndex=0#flashWrapper Thanks, Dave

I have seen 2 different spec sheets for this faucet. Each has a different measurement for the distance needed from the back of the faucet to the backsplash. Can you please clarify?

Asked by: susierj
Hi, Susie! Thank you for your question. The clearance to back splash for the Delta 564-SSMPU-DST Faucet should measure at a minimum of 2 1/2" (64 mm). Best Regards, Rosanna

Any difference in quality/construction based on the retailer?

Hi, is there any difference in this faucet purchased from a big box store like Lowe's as compared to a plumbing supply store like Ferguson? My plumber told me that the ones at Lowe's use cheaper materials, and the much lower price at Lowe's than even the cheapest online plumbing supply store supports this, but they appear to have the exact same model number and specs. Also, does it carry the same warranty from Delta regardless of where it was purchased?
Asked by: Kren
Hi, Kren! Thank you for your question. The 564-SSMPU-DST will be the same exact make and quality where ever you choose to purchase the faucet at. The Lifetime Limited Warranty is the same regardless of where you choose to buy the faucet. Best Regards, Rosanna

The Hit water flow is weak and not very hot . Could you tell me if there is an adjustment I do not see?

Asked by: PJW5
Hi, PJW5! Thank you for your question, and I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing some issues with your Delta faucet. There is an adjustment to be able to make your faucet give hotter water. To do this, remove your handle and you will find the stem of the cartridge assembly. There is a switch on the cartridge located above the stem. Switch this to the left side. This will allow the hottest water. This will not adjust the flow for your hot water, however. For low flow at your hot side, we recommend to flush the supply lines for the flow issue. Over time, common water debris will settle in the house supply lines. Anytime the water is shut off to a portion of the home, this debris can become dislodged and will move through the pipes to be caught by a faucet. Local construction or the changing of the seasons can also cause this. Flushing the supply lines through the unit should remedy this situation. To flush the unit, we recommend the following: Start with the easy stuff: Remove your aerator, wand or hose to check the flow through the unit without that part installed. If the flow is good, the piece you’ve removed is where the issue is. Soaking the part in a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water could help remove any particles or debris blocking the flow. If the water does not have a good flow, the problem could be in the faucet. Next, check the supply lines for debris: Turn the supply off to both the hot and cold-water lines. Once off, turn the handle on the faucet to the on position and leave it there to bleed the lines of any excess water. Next, disconnect the hot water supply line and place it inside of a bucket. Once the line is securely positioned into the bucket, turn on the cold-water supply. Since the handle was left in the on position, the water will flow up the cold supply line, through the faucet cartridge and back down the hot water line into the bucket. Leave this flowing for at least 30 seconds. After flushing, reconnect the hot water line and repeat this process with the cold-water line to ensure all particles have been removed from both supplies. If you still have issues, please contact our Delta Customer Service line at (800)345-3358. We are available Monday-Friday, 7am-7pm, CST and Saturday, 8am-5pm, CST. You may also email at customerservice@deltafaucet.com. Best Regards, Rosanna

Asked by: Honorine
Hi Honorine, Thank you for your question. The faucet requires a 1 1/4" minimum clearance to the backsplash. It may help to use a flexible lift rod such as the RP75526 in your installation. http://www.deltafaucet.com/repairparts/details/rp75526.html Alternatively, you can install a push pop-up assembly and cap the lift rod hole on the back of the spout with the included button. http://www.deltafaucet.com/search/results.html?q=push+pop+Chrome&num=20 Best regards, Jon

Does the Ashlyn line have an "all brass body" or does it have plastic or nylon components? If so which of your products have an all brass body?

Asked by: V12345
Hello V12345, Thank you for your question. The Delta Ashlyn Lavatory 564-MPU-DST faucet uses either metal and plastic combination or a proprietary mixture of components so that the product has a high quality, while maintaining safety control with the various temperatures of water that go through the product. For safety reason we do not manufacture an "All Brass" faucet. Delta Faucet Company takes extreme pride in the quality of its products, and strives daily to meet and exceed the expectations of our customers. Best regards, Tanya

It there an option to get rid of the red/blue temperature dot?

Wondering if that can pop out and have something else in that spot or if it leaves an exposed screw? I think the colored dot makes it look a bit cheap, and most people know how to find hot and cold. Thanks.
Asked by: RINDY
Hi RINDY, Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, we do not make another button for the handle. You can remove the button, however, we recommend to keep it in place as it will prevent buildup from forming around the set screw. Best regards, Jon

We have a new Ashlyn Venetian Bronze bathroom faucet and the pop up drain is turning white. We have soft water so it shouldn’t be calcium. Do you know what could be causing this or what is safe to use on the bronze finish to clean this?

Asked by: CoCoL
Hi CoCoL, Thanks so much for contacting Delta Faucet Company! Always blot dry any water from the faucet surface. Allowing water to evaporate on the surface can lead to a build-up of mineral deposits. Cleaning with a damp non-abrasive sponge and buffing it dry with a clean soft cloth should help keep your product looking beautiful. To remove water spots, use warm water and a soft, damp cloth. Hard water stains may be removed using a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water. Make certain that you rinse thoroughly with water afterward. If additional cleaning is required, all of our finishes may be cleaned with the following household cleaners: Formula 409® Antibacterial All-Purpose Cleaner, Fantastik® All-Purpose Cleaner, or Windex® Original Glass Cleaner when used according to the manufacturers' instructions for use. Avoid using the following which can damage your finish: · Avoid industrial cleaners and abrasive cleaners, such as those used for toilet bowls, green Scotch-Brite heavy duty scrub sponges, Scrubbing Bubbles Bathroom Cleaner, Lysol Basin Tub, Soft Scrub, and Tile Cleaner. Avoid bleach-based cleaners. · Avoid products that state on the label that they remove tarnish and rust, and those containing hydrofluoric, hydrochloric, and/or phosphoric acids and caustic agents. · Avoid harsh abrasives or polishes. We have two of these faucets installed. One works great. With the other one, it is extremely hard to turn off the water. Is this adjustable?

Asked by: Kath
Hi Kath, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model 564-SSMPU-DST. Through normal use, and depending on the water conditions in your area, the cartridge may need to be replaced. It is also possible that there is sediment or debris in your faucet. If your faucet is difficult to turn off or drips from the spout when off, I first recommend removing the faucet aerator and running the water for a minute to flush out any trapped debris or sediment. If the issue remains, the RP101762 or RP50587 cartridge may need to be replaced, depending on when the faucet was made. See the parts diagram for more information: https://media.deltafaucet.com/PartsDiagram/DPD-L-564-MPU-DST%20Rev%20F.pdf Please reach out for further assistance or with any additional questions! Why is it called Stainless if it shows water spots every single time you use the sink?

Asked by: cassg
Hello cassg, Thank you for contacting us, I would be happy to help you. Brilliance® finishes, designed to not corrode, tarnish or discolor for a “like-new” look for life, are developed by embedding molecules deep into the faucet’s surface, creating a bond that is virtually indestructible with an incredibly reflective shine. We recommend cleaning the faucet with 50/50 white vinegar and water, this will help get rid of any spots. Please contact us back if you have any questions or need further assistance.  Best Regards,  Nicole
