Beautiful champagne bronze faucet
Gorgeous faucet and went perfect for my vintage themed bathroom. I love it. High quality. Should note that the Delta Champagne Bronze line is not an exact match with other items like towel bars so we went with matte black to avoid the mismatch. But the plumbing fixtures do match so it works perfectly with my Delta shower champagne bronze.

Poor Design
This faucet will not work on a standard bathroom vanity with backsplash. The "hot" water motion of the lever is impossible, as the lever attempts to rotate 90 degrees clockwise, but crashes into the backsplash before being able to do so. A poor design that could be easily remedied by having the neutral position on the faucet at "9 o'clock" rather than "noon."
Now have had to re order new faucets for bathrooms and move plumber out to allow for new shipment. More days without a bathroom sink for a rudimentary design flaw.
Will be returning this product. Possibly could work on a pedestal sink application, but other than that, you're redesigning the wheel by moving the sink and faucet hole forward, and subsequently moving your drain and trap.

Beautiful and Well-Constructed
We used these in our master bath remodel and they are beautiful. The single hole style, the 'sturdiness' of the fixture, brushed 'brilliant' stainless finish is lovely. The water control is very smooth.
We used the Cassidy line throughout the bathroom and it really looks great!

Love my faucet!
Love the way it looks and works. I now have 3 of the Venetian bronze faucets. 2 in the master bathroom. When installing, make sure not to place too far back which I reminded my installer from other reviews I saw. But, I need to have my husband change the valves so that the handle is down or close to sink for hot water. Our counter doesn't show it too bad, but I prefer not to get much water on it. Very solid and rich looking

Warning on Installation
WARNING - the faucet needs a 2 1/2 inch clearance on the back to operate properly Part of the drain assembly sticks out the back of the faucet. Unfortunately we had already installed the cabinets and granite before our contractor discovered the problem. The Delta consumer literature does not call that out - if it had we could have modified the plan to accommodate it. You will need to use Delta part 72173-RB to put in a pop-up drain stop. However - if you used a Kholer sink, you may need to use Kohler K7124A-2BZ pop-up drain stop.

I purchased the Cassidy bronze singe faucet for bath. I need to fill the two holes on each side as they were 6 " and not 4". Are there bronze plugs available for purchase?

Thank you for your question. We do not manufacture plugs for sink application. The escutcheon plate for the Delta 597LF-MPU faucet is a 4" center installation and will not cover 6" installation.

Do I need a thick deck mounting kit?
Reading reviews of another delta faucet I learned that some cannot be installed on standard 1 1/4" thick granite or quartz vanity top without also purchasing a delta thick deck mounting extension kit. Can this faucet be installed on 1 1/4 vanity tops or would I need to purchase an additional product? Thank you

Thank you for your inquiry! The Delta Cassidy Lavatory 597LF-PNMPU faucet requires 2 1/4" (57mm) maximum deck thickness. We do not make a thick deck mounting kit for this single handled model.

How do I remove the metal pop-up piece from the sink? The small lever on the back of the faucet raises and lowers the metal pop-up, but I cannot remove it completely to clean out hair from it.

Thank you for your question. There is a small pivot seal and gasket that would need to be unscrewed to remove the stopper from the horizontal rod underneath the sink. Once this is unscrewed off, you can remove the stopper from above the sink. Here is a link to the parts diagram for the pop up drain assembly to show these parts to you:

Does this faucet swivel?
Thank you for your question, Buster! Model 597LF-SSMPU does not swivel however the 1997LF Bar Prep does swivel 360 degrees and could be installed as a lavatory faucet if needed.
