Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice chrome replacement for old fixtures. Nice faucet and easy to install. My only concern is teh use of PEX plastic supply lines, but this seems to be a typical material with current Delta products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well-constructed with beautiful finish Fine quality casting on brass base metal, with beautiful polished-nickel finish. (Hint: Keep a cloth handy to wipe up water splashes after each use and you won't have spots that you'll have to clean off later.) Installation was very easy with included wrench. Plastic (PEX?) supply lines and fittings were a new thing to me but went on well. Instructions could be clearer regarding the use of the additional supply line fittings--only needed if you want to trim the lines. I kept the lines original length and simply looped them around. Certainly, the finest quality faucet I've ever had.

What is the thread size for the faucet water connectors?

We just installed the Cassidy 597LF bathroom faucet. When we turn on the cold water it’s fine but the hot water is about 1/2 the flow rate as the cold. is there an adjustment to make the hot water flow rate higher.

Asked by: Ksanders78
Hi, Ksanders78! Thank you for your question, and I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing low flow from your Delta faucet. You may need to flush out the valve body. To flush out the valve body, first turn off the water supply to the faucet.           1. Remove the handle. On the lever handle, you should find a small hex screw that can be loosened with a 3/32" Allen wrench. The handle will lift off when this screw is loose enough.           2. Once the handle has been removed, unscrew the dome-shaped cap. The domed shaped cap will unscrew counter-clockwise.            3. Unscrew the bonnet nut under the cap.          4. After these parts have been removed, you can then pull the valve cartridge assembly straight out.           5. Now, with the valve completely disassembled, place a bucket upside down over the top of the empty brass valve body. Turn the hot and cold water supplies back on and let the water run for about 10 to 15 seconds. The water will come directly up out of the valve and should mostly be deflected back into the sink by the bucket. You might have a little bit of water to clean up, though!           6. Shut off the water supplies. Make sure that the valve cartridge assembly does not have any debris stuck to them and reinstall them. Reinstall the valve cartridge assembly. Reinstall all parts. At this point, you can test the faucet again. If this does not fix the issue, please contact our Delta Customer Service line at (800)345-3358. We are available Monday-Friday, 7am-7pm, CST and Saturday, 8am-5pm, CST. You may also email at customerservice@deltafaucet.com. Best Regards, Rosanna

Delta Faucet 597LF-RBMPU

Will this faucet fit on a 18"D x 24"W vanity with an undermount sink that measures 12"D x 15"W?
Asked by: SJHomeowner
Hi SJHomeowner, Thank you for your question. The spout from the model 597LF-RBMPU measures 5-13/32" from the faucet center to the center of the water stream. The faucet should fit a sink bowl with your dimensions. Here is a link to the spec sheet for the model 597LF that shows this and other faucet dimensions. http://www.deltafaucet.com/customersupport/documentation/597lf-rbmpu.html?document=ts&fromDetailArea=bath&documentIndex=0#flashWrapper Thanks, Dave

I ordered the 597LF-RBMPU faucet yet our vanity has 8" on center 3 hole installation. What is the part number for the 8" escutcheon plate?

Asked by: Ernie
Hi, Ernie! Thank you for your question. The Delta 597LF-RBMPU faucet does not have an 8" escutcheon option. The escutcheon plate for the faucet is part number RP72711RB. This will fit a 4" center installation. Best Regards, Rosanna

My new sink vanity has only 1-3/8" clearance from the centerline single hole for the faucet to the backsplash. Can you recommend any Delta faucets?

The Cassidy looks great and I like the side handle (less dripping on top). I've only had Delta faucets and am very pleased with your customer service. I need a single hole traditional/transitional faucet for a petite vanity with integral sink: 23.5" x 18.5" with a 2" h backsplash. The sink basin measures 15.75"x10.5"x 6.5". Will the Cassidy fit? If not, what do you recommend? Thank you.
Asked by: Need2no
Dear Need2no, Thank you for your question. The Delta Cassidy Lavatory 597LF-MPU has a recommended distance minimum 2 1/2" (64 mm) clearance to the back splash, to ensure room for the lift rod of the faucet. This is the say recommended clearance for all of the standard lavatory Delta faucets. We would advised possible vessel sink style faucets for your install. Best regards, Tanya

Hello, I purchased model 597LF-RBMPU. Is it possible to convert the sink drain that came with this faucet to a "Push-Pop-Up" style, without having to purchase a whole new drain kit?

Asked by: Cooper5ab
Hello, cooper5ab! Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, we do not have a part to convert the existing pop-up assembly to a push-pop up. However, you can purchase a complete drain assembly such as the 72173 Push Pop-Up with Overflow for use with this faucet. https://www.deltafaucet.com/parts-product-detail?modelNumber=72173 Best regards, Jon

What is the minimum width required to install the T4797 PNLHP roman tub faucet set?

I have purchased a pedestal tub which has a built-in flat area along the rim on one side, presumably intended for the placement of the faucet. The flat area is 9 inches from end to end. I read somewhere in the specs that the installed valve hardware will have a spread of between 8 and 16 inches. Does this mean the 9 inches of flat space on my tub is wide enough for the installation of this T4797 PNLHP faucet?
Asked by: JK
Hi JK, Thank you for your question. The 8" is measured to the faucet centers, this is the measurement between the center of the 2 faucet handles. The model T4797-PNLHP shows a 10"-16" installation to give the lever style handles sufficient space to move freely. This dimension does not include the hand shower. The T4797-PNLHP is too wide for your 9" area. Thanks, Dave

Can I use Windex to clean the faucets?

Asked by: Eric D
Thank you for your question, Eric D! Cleaning with a damp non-abrasive sponge and buffing it dry with a clean soft cloth should help keep your product looking beautiful. To remove water spots, use warm water and a soft, damp cloth. Hard water stains may be removed using a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water. Make certain that you rinse the surface thoroughly with water afterward. If additional cleaning is required, all of our finishes may be cleaned with Windex® Original Glass Cleaner. https://www.deltafaucet.com/design-innovation/inspiredliving/how-to-clean-a-faucet Best regards, Edward

How far back does the handle go for hot water?

Hi - I'm not sure I will have enough room between my backsplash and the handle once it's turned toward the back for hot water. How much room will I need to have in order for the handle to run the water at the highest temperature? Thanks, Kristin

Hi KikiB, Thank you for your question! The handle will only rotate forward from the upright position. However, we do recommend to have 2 1/2" clearance from the center of the faucet to the back splash. Best regards, Jon

I have the Cassidy Bathroom Faucet (597LF-MPU) and also the Cassidy Kitchen Faucet (9197-AR-DST). However, after the plumber installed them I noticed that the handle position for the hot and cold water is the exact opposite on each. Why is this?

Asked by: Kim S
Hello Kim S, Thank you for your question. The handle temperature rotation of the Delta Cassidy Kitchen 9197-AR-DST and Lavatory 597LF-MPU faucets are just differently designed. However switching the supply lines connections to the valves, below he sink on one of the units would be a suggestion we would have. Best regards, Tanya

I have a Delta Cassidy 597LF-SSMPU in my bathroom. The water flow coming out if the faucet has slowed. The amount of water coming out of the faucet is much less than it used to be. Does something need to be cleaned or replaced?

Asked by: Andrew Somple
Hello Andrew Somple, Thank you for your question! We apologize for the flow issue you are experiencing and will be happy to help you. Reduced flow is typically caused by the debris. We recommend flushing the unit. To flush the unit: Remove aerator using supplied wrench and turn faucet handle to the full on mixed position. Turn on hot and cold water supplies and flush water lines for one minute. This flushes away any debris that could cause damage to internal parts. Reinstall aerator with wrench. Check all connections at arrows for leaks. Retighten if necessary, but do not overtighten. Please refer to page 4 section 5 of the maintenance and installation guide for more details.
