Hello! The foam strips on the bottom of shower surround panels act as a waterproofing and sealing system, protecting the surrounding area from water damage and preventing mold and mildew. They are designed to seal the gap between the shower panel and the tray or floor, allowing for minor movement between the two surfaces while providing a waterproof barrier. I am installing a classic 500 shower kit.  Do you need to caulk the areas where the walls meet each other and where they meet the pan?
