Quality valve body
Bought it a while ago, glad I finally got to install it. I had to do a little soldering and I put in a couple of shark-bite valves on the cold and hot inputs so that I can shut off and easily work on it in the future. Had to have some kind of coupler anyway. But, back to the point, this valve body looks like it will last a good long time. Only the cartridge will have to be replaced if it wears out.

No Issues
No issues with the valve itself. Appears to be high quality. Only flaw I see is the trim kit. The external mounting screws don't seat all the way because the trim kit hole spacing is wider than the valve. Faucets Direct was great to work with and supplied a missing part super fast!

Valve for shower bathroom No. 1
My plumber loved installing the Delta R10000-UNWSHF in my newly remodeled bathroom. I watched him wrap the white plumber tape around the fittings and bravo...shower works great and thankful that he used DELTA rough-in Valve.

A few issues with trim kit - not the body
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pretty straight forward install with two issues and it has to do more with the trim kits. Valve body itself was well made and worked as stated

Disappointed
I bought the Delta 17 series for its reputation and quality only to be very disappointed. First thing the carriage was bad and had to be replaced. After replacing it only to find that the mixing Valve was broken and it had to be replaced. It seemed as the unit I purchased was a second. Needless to say next time I will have my plumber do the purchasing for me. Way over priced for the value.

Well made, Nice to have cutoff valve feature built in.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used this as part of a master bath overhaul. Installed along with diverter valve, etc. Soldered in with no issues. Just clean before flux/solder.

Beware - Check the product to make sure all necessary parts are actually in the box
Now that is is installed, the valve appears to function just fine. However, when my plumber arrived to install the rough-ins for our bathroom renovation project I was informed that the service stops were not attached to the valve, nor were they anywhere in the box. Fortunately he was willing to call the mfg and had them mail him the service stops; in the meantime, in order to not have my renovation project grind to a halt he made a trip to his plumbing supply distributor, purchased the identical Delta valve, brought it back to my house, used the service stops from the valve he just bought and then returned the valve to his supplier right after he had received the service stops from Delta. As a homeowner, and not being a plumber, I had no idea that parts were missing from the Delta valve when I opened the package from.faucet.com.

Holds water, but flimsy mounting brackets
Disclaimer: I've only installed the rough-in valve body - I have not installed the associated trim and cartridge, so I cannot review the functionality of the fully assembled mixing valve.
The valve body is a solid piece of brass with machined ports, so not much to comment on - it feels sturdy, and it has held 100+ psi of pressure for several weeks without leaking (I'm a slow DIYer).
My only gripe is with the flimsy aluminum (I think) mounting brackets that I deformed repeatedly during installation and had to straighten back out as best as I could. Tip: don't try to make-up the threaded connections with the valve screwed to the ledger board - the brackets will start bending before the threads are tight enough.
Further, the spongy brackets let the valve body wiggle slightly, which is not ideal, and hopefully won't be exacerbated once the trim kit is installed.
By contrast, the Delta diverter valve rough-in body (R11000) has mounting brackets that are cast into the body as one piece and they are bomb-proof - so if you're listening Delta - do that for this valve body too!

Good, solid product
This required me to call a plumber friend to have it installed, due to some copper pipe work, but it was fast and easy for him. It works without issue. One appealing factor is that multiple finish kits can be used with this.

A great feature in a shower
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We installed this two years ago during a bathroom remodel. We purchased the full, matching shower set: the shower head, the hand-held body sprayer, the diverter valve, the temperature control handle, and a high-flow valve. All of the components work very well together. The shower head delivers a nice, gentle "summer rain" type of feel. The hand-held is great for more targeted rinsing as well as rinsing off shower walls. The diverter valve allows usage of just the shower head, just the hand-held or both together. The temperature control handle has separate handles for water flow volume and temperature, which is a wonderful feature. When installed, the temperature handle was very tight, over the past two years it has loosened up quite a bit, making it a bit difficult to "fine-tune" the temperature. Even so, it still works fairly well. The high-flow valve, a part you don't even see when installed, is a good feature, it keeps the water temperature consistent, even if someone in the house turns on a faucet or flushes a commode. The only thing I would do differently, is NOT buy the chrome finish, instead I would get the brushed silver. Over time, the chrome finish shows water spots terribly. I still haven't found any way to get the spots off. But, overall, this is still an excellent product.

Delta Universal mixing valve.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a professional remodeler, we use a variety of Delta shower valves. The all brass housing and well machined rough in ports make water line connections smooth every time. A great product for the money!

Solid Rough-In Valve
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent build quality, easy to install and less work since the tub port is already blocked. Installed with Delta Ashlyn trim kit. Went with High flow model since its going to a Delta 6-way diverter with multiple shower heads.

Great features
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had excellent experience using Delta nd Brizo products, always getting great after purchase support if needed as well as great support and info during purchasing. It's very useful to have a universal valve body that we install prior to selecting our bath trims.

Quality delta product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As with any delta product, it's a solid quality rough in. My only complaint with any delta rough in is that the while the rough in body itself is heavy amd solid, the mounting bracket is still too thin and allows flex. Not a huge issue of you know how to correct it, but I'd like to see Delta need that part of the design up in the future.
The built in shut off valves are a huge bonus.
