How does this connect to the existing rough in valve?

I have a roman tub faucet with two handles. I also have space to cut the two new holes for the hand shower and transfer handle. My question: How does this unit connect to the existing valve? Or do I need to buy a new valve to connect everything?

Can i use RP14979 with a single supply line that provides the hot & cold water?

Hi Bath_Man, Thank you for your question. As long as you cap/plug the hot or cold supply port on the valve that is not being used the RP14979 should work with a single mixed line. Thanks, Dave

Can I change the transfer/diverter handle to a different delta collection handle, matching the roman tub filler spout and handles? I would like the all the handles to match. Would the Windemere collect handle work with this diverter?

I have a Kohler K-409-K-NA transfer valve that has failed. The dimensions of the space are one and 3/4 inches in diameter, and three and 1/2 inches in depth. What are the dimensions of this valve? Will it fit?
