quality trim with smooth and precise operation.
I used this trim with a Delta multi-function valve and paired it with a Delta shower control with separate temperature and flow controls. This trim allows for 3 positions (main shower head only, both shower heads at once, or the secondary shower head only). We used this with a rain shower head and a wall-mounted hand shower. The trim works well with the valve and operates smoothly yet positions snuggly in the selected position. A quality feel and a quality look and build. Well worth the price.

We redid the master bath with 2 shower heads on the three way diverter and a rain shower, hand held shower and a tub spout. Stainless finish .looks great and works great at a reasonable price and made in the USA .

I also have a similar one in the master bath. That one is a 6 position: rainhead, handheld, body jets x2 or any combination of 2. Love them both.

So you need to move it so it looks good (straight up and down). The other 2 position indent at 90 and 180 degrees so you know it's right. I would buy this again. Great quality for the price.

Nothing better for high end shower fixtures!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a contractor, and custom tile shower installer. I only use delta faucets. When you want high end finishes and options, Delta is my only choice. Quality brass rough-and-tumble construction, awesome flex hose systems, multiple finishes and styles, it's all I will use for years of service. Don't skimp for cheaper versions, Delta is the leader and all I trust. This diverter is a staple for all of my higher end showers, coupled with a hand sprayer and shower head. You won't be disappointed with it, or anything Delta for that matter....

Installed this diverter along with the Vero Monitor shower valve. They are both very well made, with beautiful finish, smooth, heavy feel. Nothing cheap feeling about either part. The diverter works across a continuous range between the shower head and the hand-held head, with a detant at each end and in the center of the range.

Q&A
Does this control water temp as well, or is it only a switch for water flow to various shower heads? If not, what do I order to control water temp? We are doing the two-in-one shower head and a rain shower.

Thank you for your question. The Delta T11853-CZ diverter trim does not control water temperature. We recommend to add the valve trim that would match the Vero diverter trim. This can be found here:

I am using the Delta pendant raincan showerhead as a rain shower and 6 body spray jets from amazon. I have the required rough in valve for the raincan showerhead, rough in for this diverter, and one rough in for the body spray jets. What else do I need?

Provided you have a Delta MultiChoice Universal valve such as the R10000-UNBX, the Delta R11000 diverting rough as well as the roughs for the body jets, you have everything needed for this type of installation. You will need a water inlet pipe for the shower head if you do not already have one.

Can you explain to me what is the difference between 2 port and 3 port and non-shared and shared?

Thanks for your question! A 2-Port diverter will allow you to divert between two shower components and a 3-Port diverter will divert between three components. A non-shared diverter will allow you to run the showering components individually. A shared diverter will allow you to run the showering components individually or together (up to two at once).

Does it matter which port is plugged when installing this diverter?
I’m currently installing the R11000 diverter rough-in. I’d planned to plug the left port, with the top servicing a shower head, and the right servicing a hand-held. The rough-in came with tag on the right port saying “Warning: Cap this outlet if using 3 function diverter.” Internally I can’t detect why it matters which port gets plugged. Is there something in the Vero 3 Setting Diverter’s functioning that precludes capping the left port instead of the right?

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # T11853-RB has to have the right port plugged when using one extra feature to you shower combination. The diverter will not function properly if you plug the left port.

which cartridge to operate 2 showerheads at once?
We currently have the 3-way cartridge that came with the diverter. Currently, the 3 settings we have are: the first shower head operates, the second shower head operates, both showerheads are off. Is there a way to have the last setting be for both shower heads to operate? Is the 6-way cartridge (#RP51919) compatible with our 3 setting diverter?
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # T11853 is a 2-port 3-setting diverter unless the cartridge was changed to the non-shared cartridge, model # RP71717. You can get a replacment cartridge model # RP51918 which is the one for the is model.
Delta Faucet model # RP51919 is the 6 setting cartridge. It will also work in your application but you will have several position that will turn everything off.
