Can you explain to me what is the difference between 2 port and 3 port and non-shared and shared?

Hi EZPASS, Thanks for your question! A 2-Port diverter will allow you to divert between two shower components and a 3-Port diverter will divert between three components. A non-shared diverter will allow you to run the showering components individually. A shared diverter will allow you to run the showering components individually or together (up to two at once). Does it matter which port is plugged when installing this diverter?

I’m currently installing the R11000 diverter rough-in. I’d planned to plug the left port, with the top servicing a shower head, and the right servicing a hand-held. The rough-in came with tag on the right port saying “Warning: Cap this outlet if using 3 function diverter.” Internally I can’t detect why it matters which port gets plugged. Is there something in the Vero 3 Setting Diverter’s functioning that precludes capping the left port instead of the right?

Hi John, Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # T11853-RB has to have the right port plugged when using one extra feature to you shower combination. The diverter will not function properly if you plug the left port. Thanks. Jody

Delta Vero- What valve do I purchase to have a total of 3 showerheads but only use one at a time?

I am looking to purchase a Delta Vero shower system with a hand shower, rain shower attached to the ceiling and a regular shower head. Issue is that I am in CA and can only have 2gpm running at a time. I understand with the 6 diverter valve, I can use one at a time, or turn on all 2 at a time. In order to pass inspection, I can only have one running at a time, which valve should I purchase? Or can I purchase the 3/6 R11000 and cap off whatever is necessary? Thanks!!

Hi Priyam, Thank you for your question. You will want to order the R11000 diverter rough, and the T11953-RB 6 setting 3 port diverter trim plus the RP71718 diverter cartridge. The RP71718 cartridge only allows for 3 individual positions and no shared positions meaning only 1 showerhead at a time will work. You will also need a R10000 rough in and a matching Vero tub/shower trim to control the water flow and temperature. The diverter only controls where the water goes. Thanks, Dave

Delta Vero - what exactly do i need to purchase to operate a ceiling rain shower, a wall shower individually

Hi EZPASS, Thank you for your question. The diverter will allow you to run a raincan showerhead and standard shower head individually or together. You will need an R11000 rough in valve for the trim. https://www.deltafaucet.com/bathroom/product/R11000 To control the volume and temperature, you will need an R10000 rough-in valve and 13/14, 17, or 17T series trim. How many gallons per minute can flow through the multi valve?

Does this control water temp as well, or is it only a switch for water flow to various shower heads? If not, what do I order to control water temp? We are doing the two-in-one shower head and a rain shower.

Hi, DanaA! Thank you for your question. The Delta T11853-CZ diverter trim does not control water temperature. We recommend to add the valve trim that would match the Vero diverter trim.
