3-Setting 2-Port Diverter Trim in Venetian Bronze

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # T11853 is a 2-port 3-setting diverter unless the cartridge was changed to the non-shared cartridge, model # RP71717. You can get a replacment cartridge model # RP51918 which is the one for the is model. Delta Faucet model # RP51919 is the 6 setting cartridge. It will also work in your application but you will have several position that will turn everything off.

Hello DIYNot, Thank you for your question. The rough-in valve installed behind the Delta Vero Diverter Trim T11853-SS has to have the right port plugged when using one extra feature to you shower combination. The diverter will not function properly if you plug the left port. Best regards, Tanya

Thank you for your question, Mike! A 3-Setting 2-Port Diverter Trim allows you to divert water between a shower head and another product such as a body spray/jet or hand shower. A standard shower trim will allow water to either a tub spout or the shower head on its own, but by installing this trim with a diverter rough-in valve above the mixing valve, you can then switch between the shower head, another shower product or use both simultaneously. If you only have a tub spout and/or shower head, you will not need a diverter trim. Best regards, Edward

Provided you have a Delta MultiChoice Universal valve such as the R10000-UNBX, the Delta R11000 diverting rough as well as the roughs for the body jets, you have everything needed for this type of installation. Hi None, Thank you for your question. Normally with 3 separate showerheads you would want to use the 6 setting diverter so that all the heads could be used individually, 2 at a time, or all 3 at once. Your current set up will not affect how the unit functions. You can switch out the 3 function cartridge to the 6 function cartridge RP51919 if you want more individual control of the showerheads. Hi Betty, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model T11853-SS. This diverter trim kit does not control or compensate for the temperature. It is installed with an R11000 valve rough to direct water to two shower features. Valve trims in the Vero collection that control the temperature and compensate for pressure drops in hot or cold water include models T17053-SS and T14053-SS. We are happy to help! I recommend first removing the handle by loosening the set screw with a 1/8" Allen wrench. Then tighten the threads of the trim sleeve onto the threaded sleeve, but do not overtighten. I know that can be frustrating. We are happy to help! Unfortunately, this trim would not be used to control water temperature or flow rate. When used with a diverter rough-in, this trim is used to divert water to different shower features, such as a showerhead or hand shower. A mixing valve trim is available as the Vero model T14053-CZ for one example. The water is turned on by moving the handle counterclockwise.
