Rated 5 out of 5 by from works well, they need to return to a plaster shield. Diverter worked well with only a few bugs. Diverter no longer comes with plaster shield making getting it flush more difficult, the was also no way to reach thru from the front to put screws into back wall. Basically wound up screwing the valve to a board then nailing the board in flush.

With this diverter, do you still have to pull up on the diverter attached to the downspout to get the shower to work or does this negate that step?

Hi lawillis, Thank you for your question. We recommend to have the diverter tub spout connected to the bottom port of the R10000 valve. In this setup, water will always flow to the tub spout first. The diverter on the tub spout will then send water to the 3-Setting Diverter. We do not recommend connecting a diverter tub spout to one of the exit ports of the diverter valve. Best regards, Jon

How does the diverter work?

I want to put in a showerhead, bathtub spout, and have a handheld on a drop elbow. Which diverter would I need in order to have water running through both the showerhead and the handheld at the same time but still have the option to turn one off while the other is on. Which rough in would I need too please? Maybe you could explain what "3-setting" and 2-port" mean. Thanks

Hi Chris, Thank you for your question! The 3-Setting trim will allow you to operate the shower head and handheld individually or together. 2-Port refers to the number of ports on the rough-in that the trim can use. This trim would require the R11000 diverter valve. http://www.deltafaucet.com/bath/details/r11000.html The tub spout should be connected to the bottom port of the R10000 (on/off, temperature) valve, rather than to the diverter valve. water loss when coecting to tub spout

will there be water loss if you conect this tem directly to tub spout

Dear Jkrame, Thank you for your question. We do not recommend connecting a tub spout to this Delta 3-Setting Diverter T11859 unit. The flow rate from the diverter will not be great enough to spout the flow rate needed for a tub spout. The tub spout must be connected to the bottom port of the main MultiChoice Universal Rough-In R10000-UNBX valve. Best regards, Tanya

Will this trim work with two body sprays and one rain can shower head?

I want to purchase the T17T259-SSH2O shower trim and two body sprays, 50100-SS. I would like to be able to use the shower head separately, the two body sprays together, and then all three components together. Can I use this trim such that the two body sprays together are one individual position and then the shower head will be the second individual position. I realize I also need the R11000 valve and the R10000-UNBXHF valve. Thanks!

Does this control water temp as well, or just divert between shower and handheld?

I want to replace a older Delta Chrome BT13010 Shower Trim kit with a Matte Black one. Do you have one that will likely fit the same valve? The valve for this shower is pretty inaccessible and hard to replace.

Hi Anita, Thank you for your question. I am sorry this information was not readily available, and I am happy to help! If the valve was installed after 2006, it would be a MultiChoice valve that can use any MultiChoice valve trim kit. If it was installed before 2006, a 13 series or 14 series trim kit can be used but will fit the existing cartridge and valve. The new cartridge included with the MultiChoice trim kit will not fit a pre-MultiChoice valve. Note that the model T11859-BL is a diverter valve trim kit, not a mixing valve trim kit. Hi. I made a HUGE mistake! I used the Schluter System for the underlayment and roughed in the mixing valve and the diverter using the same 4-1/2" diameter Kerdi valve seal. The diverter escutcheon won't span the opening. Is there a larger one I can use?

I bought the T1185. I have done the tile not realizing that the diverter cover plate was only 4". Do you have a larger cover plate?

How can I change the handle direction when installing this diverted valve..

Hi Bruce, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model T11859 diverter trim. To change the handle direction, loosen the handle set screw with a 1/8" hex wrench. The handle should be placed on the diverter cartridge so that the set screw is on the flat side of the cartridge stem. Then retighten the set screw. Please reach out with any additional questions! What part of this products requires the Prop 65 warning for lead exposure? Is it a wetted part? Meaning does it come into contact with water? I am assuming it is not an exposed part on the shower side.

My tile contractor cut the hole to big on the tile and the trim plate does NOT cover the hole. do you have a bigger trim plate that will work with this part T11859
