Cheap handle
Complicated to put together the directions were terrible. We ended up keeping our old plate from our broken handle because the plate that comes with this one is cheap and flimsy. Would not recommend.

Beautiful Shower Faucet
We upgraded our shower with Tiles, Glass Enclosure, and Delta Lahara fixtures. This is a beautiful piece. I especially like the separate Volume and Temperature control levers. I can reduce the volume but turn up the temperature. This has been an excellent shower faucet.

Not what I expected
We converted to a walk in shower from tub and shower that had separated hot and cold faucet. I was told by sales rep and Delta customer service that the multi choice series 17 would be able to adjust volume and temperature individually just like my old tub one. Not so. The low volume is only cold water. To get hot or warm I have to turn the volume control at least half way of the rotation when the volume is full force. It works okay but disappointed I can not get the low volume warm water. My wife likes high volume but I like low volume.
I am surprised that Delta can make a single lever kitchen faucet low volume warm but not a shower faucet.

My favorite style shower control
I’ve remodeled several bathrooms and love this model. The separate temperature setting is very convenient vs the shutoff. You can usually set in place once, shutoff the water then just turn the main lever on and you have a shower at the same temperature every time.
Installing is simple and easy to do even though the plumber who did the rough in put the cartridge in sideways. It took 30 seconds to correct his mistake.

Everything was as specified. However, The finish on the product changed color once exposed to water. It’s now darker and more like pewter, than stainless. This was a bit disappointing.

Simple design, easy control consistent performance
Great choice with hot/cold mixing limits and easy on and off while keeping the previous temperature setting. Nice chrome finish that lasts ... replacing an identical nine year old control which had been damaged by previous homeowner.

Nice shower valve
I really like the independent flow and temperature controls on one yoke. This way you can set the temperature, and if you want to shut off the water for a short time and turn it back on the temp is right where you want it. Also allows for flow control at the set temp.

Buy this one!
The tradesman was quite pleased to see this was my shower valve choice, as was the over-seeing contractor. So I figured it was a good choice. I thoroughly researched the options and selected this one because I wanted something simple, with a good handle, a powerful valve, from a good company. Delta is wonderful! Very happy with my choice. It does not match the other hardware, but is nice and simple in design so that it complements pretty much anything.

Beautiful addition to our bathtub!
This is a beautiful addition to our bathtub. The design and color helped bring a more modern look to our bath. Installation was easy and straight forward and it works wonderfully. Simply turn the handle left or right to change temperature and it turns with ease. I would definitely recommend this to anyone hoping to update the look of their bath. A quick and easy remodel!

beautiful in my bathroom, much better than the one i replaced. works smoothly and so far there are no leaks or drips and the seal is perfect. this is one of those things that really change the look of the room as well as save you money if you are replacing a defective unit.

At first, I thought this was going to be really difficult to install, but it really wasn't. It was really very easy, and I don't have much experience with DIY plumbing. When it was all installed, it was a beautiful addition to my bathroom! It works smoothly, has no leaks or drips, and is aesthetically very pleasing.

Good product.
I installed this shower handle in my spare bathroom so it doesn’t get used very often. When it has been used it works just as well as I thought it would. The installation was fairly simple and the design is visually appealing. Overall a good product.

Installed beautifully
I received this about a month or so ago, and immediately got to work. I had to make some alterations to the shower wall, but aside from that I was able to install the new faucet without any issues. Thankfully, I do my own home repair and improvement so I didn't have to ask anyone for help. I love the new faucet now, it works great. I would absolutely recommend these!

Excellent product
I am so happy with my Delta Lahara monitor 17 series 1 handle in chrome finish! First it looks and feels of excellent quality. Second it was so easy to install. The valve and trim and handle were easy to put on. Just follow the easy to read instructions. I love that i just move the handle to how i want the water and so easy to adjust. A wonderful quality product that i will be sure to recommend to anyone needing these types of products.

Dual purpose
I love that you can adjust the temperature and water pressure separately with this. It is fairly simple to install with a little basic handyman man experience and knowledge. Works great! Definitely enjoy being able to control the water pressure especially while showering

Thank you for your question. The Delta Lahara T17038 is a dual control Valve only trim kit. This kit included the escutcheon plate, screws, trim sleeve, cartridge assembly and volume and temperature handles.

I have a similar Delta Lahara 17 dual shower handle. The plastic internal grip teeth the main handle attaches to have stripped. Can I replace this part only? I have a picture I could send to be sure of my model and part needed. Please advise?

What accessories go with this?
I am planning a tub to shower conversion and do not plan on having the tub spout at all. I have # 57014 showerhead and sliding bar, # 50560 elbow, and understand I need # R1000-UNBX valve. If I get T17038, is that everything I need for a new shower only setup? Thanks!

Thank you for your question! Both series operate the same and do not require regular maintenance. The Monitor 17 series is pressure balanced. The TempAssure 17T series is thermostatic, which provides a more precise temperature control. The 17T series will also provide more flow from the valve if you are building a customer shower with multiple components.

Do I need to caulk around the edges of the trim against the tile?

Why is the oring packaged in the same plastic bag with the bolts/hardware? I hope my trim does not leak once I install it because of a damaged oring.
Hi paprikaspiroska, Thank you for your question. The o-ring in the photo goes under the trim sleeve that covers up the valve body and helps hold the trim sleeve in place. The o-ring is not used to seal water from leaking.

Will the T17038 trim kit work with a 1500 series valve?

Thank you for your question. The Delta Monitor T17038 Trim Kit will fit the Delta 1500 Series Valve if the original escutcheon plate has the screw holes at the 1 & 7 o'clock position. The new cartridge, RP46463, that is included with the Monitor T17038 Trim Kit, will not fit the 1500 Series Valve. The original cartridge, RP32104, will need to be used.
