Worst handle ever
For the price I paid for this I expected something decent. The design that clips the temp handle on is awful. It continuously pops off and now I just leave it off. Absolute trash.

Flimsy temperature contro
I bought this shower trim to match my Ashlyn faucet and I must say that it is very good looking, However, the temperature control is flimsy and can easily pop off if not carefu.l One has to turn it gingerly since it is not sturdy.
I called and had a new temperature control sent to me . It was difficult to install so we gave up and went back to the original trim.
I called again to see if there is another sturdier trim that cam fit the roughing I have in the wall .
I was told to look at the Linden trim and the Ashlyn trim ( which I already have and try to change(.
Looking it up, am reluctant to spend extra $145 to change a product that is flimsy and may face the same problem again.
If anyone has any adviice, please comment.

Delta Pressure Balanced Valve Trim
I really like this trim. Ascetically it is very modern and perfect for my shower design. I love being able to control the water temperature separately from the water pressure. I buy Delta products because I usually do not have issues with the quality and they seem to last a long time. I have experienced issues with other brands so I highly recommend Delta products.

Decent but could be better
Installed this about 3 weeks ago. Works and looks nice, but the temperature directions were hard to follow. The temperature handle is real flimsy, wife popped it off at first but i think she got it now. However not something i would expect. The overall on/off squeaks a little when we turn it on. It looks great so that's the up side but the small issues really keep it from being a top quality must buy valve.

Very good quality
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been impressed by the valve - both ease of installation and now in daily use. I installed myself and found the instructions well written - diagrams could have been a little larger since the temperature lever and its limiter work is not obvious.
In use the device feels good. While it's a little disappointing that the temp-lever is plastic, it doesn't detract from the functionality and doesn't need daily adjustment.
Overall delighted and consider this package excellent value

Piece of junk
It's made out of plastic. The temperature handle was broken. I called delta and they said they had to "make the part". I am not making this up. 2 weeks. Do not buy a Delta product. They do not state on their website they are plastic. Same thing for their shower heads, they do not make metal ones anymore, except the cheapest one, amazing.

What valve do I need to go with T17064 trim? I have purchased Delta hand held shower 51552 as well as 3 way diverted T11864 and a shower head RP53496
I also purchased the rough in for diverted R11000 3/6

comparing valve trim T17059 to T17064, 059 states it has volume control and Univ Valve and 064 does not. Does 059 include the valve? 064 appears to have volume control, but does it?

Thank you for your question. The Delta Monitor T17059 and T17064 valve trims both have volume control. Neither include the Universal MultiChoice R10000 rough valve body as it is sold separately. The only difference between the two are the styles.

Will this item (T17064-SS) fit and work with the Monitor Series 1700 valve from a pre-04/2006 (i.e. valve uses RP32104 cartridge) setup?

Thank you for your question. The Delta Monitor T17064-SS Valve Trim Kit will fit the Delta Monitor 1700 Series Valve Body. The new trim kit will include the RP46463 Valve Cartridge. This valve cartridge will not fit the 1700 Series Valve Body. You will want to use the RP32104 cartridge assembly.

What is the dimensions of the cover plate of this product

Our problem is freezing pipes during extremely cold weather. We had both hot and cold pipes freeze last winter. we would like to be able to drip both hot and cold lines. Is this possible with this unit?
Thank you for your question, Odell! You would want to move the volume handle just enough to allow a trickle of water to come through. You would also want to put the temperature knob in a mixed position, so hot and cold water are coming through.

Can the scald control be turned off or removed? I'm not able to get the water hit enough for a bath (even though the water heater is set for enough)
Thank you for your question, Carsbug! According to industry standards, the maximum allowable temperature of the water exiting from the valve is 120 degrees Fahrenheit. This temperature may vary in your local area. Although it is not possible to remove the Scaldguard feature nor is it recommended to remove the rotational limit stop, information on adjusting the temperature to the hottest setting can be found on page 7 of your maintenance and installation manual.

How do you remove the temperature knob and cover?
I need to disassemble the faucet to replace the seals but don't understand how to remove the temperature knob.

Thank you for your question. To remove the front temperature dial from the Delta Ashlyn Valve Trim T17064-SS, you would just "pop" it off of the temperature control knob by prying it off with a small screwdriver, or pull on it by hand.
