Monitor® 17 Series Shower Trim in Champagne Bronze
Model#:
T17238-CZ
PRODUCT FEATURES
With separate handles for volume and temperature control, this Delta tub/shower provides a more refined showering experience. Simply set the water at your preferred temperature and turn the shower on or off with the volume control handle - without interrupting your set temperature. Designed to look like new for life, Brilliance® finishes are developed using a proprietary process that creates a durable, long-lasting finish that is guaranteed not to corrode, tarnish or discolor. While other products may gather unsightly mineral build-up over time, Delta soft rubber Touch-Clean® spray holes allow any mineral residue to simply be wiped away for an instantly refreshed look – with no need for soaking or the aid of chemical cleaners. Delta® pressure-balance valves use Monitor® Technology to protect you and your family from sudden temperature changes. Take the chill out of contemporary with the eloquent warmth of Champagne Bronze™ in your bath. This vibrant, gold finish provides a vivid splash of contrast to your space for a look that's simultaneously modern and nimble, able to pair elegantly with traditional, transitional and contemporary décor.
- Control volume and water temperature independently with two separate handles for more refined control of your shower experience
- Monitor pressure balance valve keeps water temperature within a safe +/-3degrees F (+/-1.6degrees C), helping to protect you from sudden changes in hot or cold water pressure
- Spray settings: Pause, Full Body Spray, Full Spray w/Massage, Fast Massage, Soft Drench Spray
- Trim kit only, must order MultiChoice Universal rough-in separately to complete the unit
- Soft, rubber Touch-Clean spray holes allow you to easily wipe away calcium and lime build-up from the spray face of your shower head and hand shower with the touch of a finger
- Single lever handle for ease of control
- Meets standards set by Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
- WaterSense labeled shower heads use at least 20% less water than the industry standard without compromising performance

Exactly what I was looking for...
We just completed building a new home, and every detail was important to us. The Delta Lahara shower fixture is modern/contemporary, the chrome finish is beautiful and the fixture has a solid, substantial look. It also works great!

Great quality and function
Bought this item as part of a collection of other Delta Lahara-series items for a complete master bath shower remodeling project. The product assembly and function is excellent as is the build quality. I really like the water shutoff valves on the valve rough-in that are accessible from outside of the wall.

A Simple Joy to Use
The Lahara was installed as part of a complete shower remodeling job and was recommended by the installer. We have used it now for about two weeks and are both very pleased with the way it does its job.
It is easy to turn the water off and on and the temperature setting feature permits us to do this during the shower and always get the same water temperature.
The appearance of the Lahara is simple and elegant and we are both proud of it and our new shower; it is a very big improvement over what we used for many years and we love it.

delta shower fixture
this lahara shower fixture was reccomended by our vendor during our bathroom remodel - has leaked since day 1 - the overall product is not really very well thought out after you have it installed and using it - after consulting our vendor a+ , for them they had us call delta 800 # ,new cartridge supposed to be on the way? not very customer friendly rep - water comes out when you turn the handle - thats all i'll say - go elsewhere

Shower head
After several hours of frustrating browsing and talking with employees at the box stores who were sure they knew what I was talking about, it was refreshing to find this product online with the two handles, one of which lets you preset the temperature to keep for future showers. Great product. Thanks!!

Nice Looking, Good Quality for the money
We purchased this faucet & valve for an outdoor shower. It feels sturdy & hopefully will have a durable finish for our harsh summers here in Florida. We know that replacement parts are easily obtainable for Delta as we have had Delta products in the past. We have enjoyed so far for the short time we have used.

T17 Series-Delta
My plumber kept trying to talk me into getting this series for our new shower. I finally succumbed to his suggestion, mostly because I was able to by it here at a good price. I love the thing! You set your temperature the way you like it, turn the shower on day after day and it is ready to go the way you like it. I haven't tested showering and flushing at the same time to see how the water temp stays consistent though.

Q&A
Handheld to go with
I need a handheld shower and mount. What do I need to get?
Hi Jamie,
Thank you for your question. Please click the link below to view our collection of handheld shower heads in Champagne Bronze. You will also need a supply elbow, such as the 50560-CZ.

I like the champagne bronze finish, but it doesn't appear to be offered on the matching Lahara bathroom sink faucets. Will this finish be available for the bathroom sink faucets in the future?
Hi, RandR!
Thank you for your question. The Delta Lahara collection does have lavatory faucet options in the Champagne Bronze finish. Here is a link to these faucets:
https://www.deltafaucet.com/bathroom/collections/lahara-bathroom-collection
You will want to filter out the finish as 'Champagne Bronze'.

Rosanna

Monitor 17 vs Tempassure 17T
The description on this one (Monitor 17) states that it controls volume. What is the difference between this model and the 17T? Does the Monitor 17's larger handle just turn it on and off or does is actually control the volume? Thank you.
Dear Linda,
Thank you for your question. The 17 series has a Monitor pressure balance cartridge. The 17T series has a thermostatic TempAssure cartridge that provides a more precise temperature control. Please click the link below for more information.

Does the shower head pivot or is it fixed?
Hello CCRJ,
Thank you for your question. The Delta 5-Spray Shower Head 52683-RB, that comes with the Delta Lahara Shower T17238-RB model can move/tilt up, down right and left.
Best regards,
Tanya

\what components are required to have volume and temperature control?
Hi there,
We're building a new house and have only a shower in our main bathroom. It's the volume control that is really important to us so we want to make sure we spec all the correct components. Something tells me we need more than just T17238 and R10000UNWS. Please confirm.
Hi Rockhopper, Thank you for your question. The T17 series does offer temperature and volume control in a single handle shower faucet. The T17238 trim with the R10000-UNWS rough in will give you a complete shower faucet. No other components are required.
Thanks,
Dave

the water is not getting hot enough in the shower. Lav is fine for sink
wi R10000 delta multichoice
Hi Evie, Thank you for your question. The model T17238-SS is equipped with a rotational limit stop that allows you to set the max hot water temperature for the faucet. Step 4 on page 7 of the attached manual will show your how to adjust the RLS and increase the water temperature.

Need separate controls for temperature and volume
What is the simplest shower handle available that can can control temperate and pressure separately? Can I buy that without shower head (we have one already)? Please also suggest correct rough-in assembly.
Hi Mash,
Thank you for your question! Our 17 series shower trims have separate controls for volume and temperature. Models beginning with T170 will include only the trim and cartridge for the valve and can be installed on any R10000 rough-in valve. Please click the links below to view our selection of trim kits and rough-in valves:

does this trim kit work on 1700 series before 2006
Thank you for your question, carlos! The model T17238 as well as all other Delta 17 series trim kits can be used on an older 1700 series valve body, however you will need to continue using the RP32104 cartridge as the newer MultiChoice cartridge that is included with this kit, will not fit into the older valve body.
Best regards, Edward
