With separate handles for volume and temperature control, this Delta tub/shower provides a more refined showering experience. Simply set the water at your preferred temperature and turn the shower on or off with the volume control handle - without interrupting your set temperature. While other products may gather unsightly mineral build-up over time, Delta soft rubber Touch-Clean® spray holes allow any mineral residue to simply be wiped away for an instantly refreshed look – with no need for soaking or the aid of chemical cleaners. Delta® pressure-balance valves use Monitor® Technology to protect you and your family from sudden temperature changes. This Brilliance Stainless finish has subtle, warm undertones which make it an excellent match with nickel or stainless steel and is extremely versatile, complementing nearly any look, be it traditional, transitional or contemporary.

Great overall
Simple install to existing multichoice rough valve. Temperature knob seems a bit flimsy, but I haven't had any issues. Volume handle is solid and sturdy. Would definitely recommend this piece. Mixing and volume seem to work great.

Water not hot enough
We just had this system installed in the water is not hot enough. No major changes to plumbing were made, is there a way to make the water as hot as it was before we change to the system? Does it have something to do with the temperature control switch and if so what can we do to make it hotter? It’s basically lukewarm when everything in the house is hot.

Defective
There is a red and blue decal on the handle to indicate hot vs. cold water. That decal began to peel off the first week of use. How / why would Delta release a defective product such as this. I realize its only a decal but I would think that would be an easy thing for Delta to prevent from happening. So frustrating.

Nice but don’t like low flow
Like the finish, and controls. My complaint is that the low flow restricter in delta shower heads are integral to the unit ( not removable) had we known this I would not have purchased. They restrict too much water in my opinion

Water Pressure Problem

We're building a new house and have only a shower in our main bathroom. It's the volume control that is really important to us so we want to make sure we spec all the correct components. Something tells me we need more than just T17238 and R10000UNWS. Please confirm.
Hi Rockhopper, Thank you for your question. The T17 series does offer temperature and volume control in a single handle shower faucet. The T17238 trim with the R10000-UNWS rough in will give you a complete shower faucet. No other components are required.

Hi Evie, Thank you for your question. The model T17238-SS is equipped with a rotational limit stop that allows you to set the max hot water temperature for the faucet. Step 4 on page 7 of the attached manual will show your how to adjust the RLS and increase the water temperature.

I accidentally purchased this shower set and actually need the tub/shower kit. Is there a way to purchase the faucet that matches this set so I can use it with the pieces I have (shower head and handle)?

Thank you for your question. The shower head included with this trim is designed with a maximum flow rate of 1.75 gallons per minute at 60 PSI. We do have other models available with a higher flow rate.

Is this trim plastic or metal?
I am looking for an all metal trim, and I can't find any information for what the material of the trim is.
