Great shower!
We really wanted a shower that had a separate control for both temperature and volume and this one delivers both. The shower head has multiple settings and is the perfect addition to our new walk-in shower stall. The brushed stainless steel is good looking.

Great fixture
I love the way this fixture turned out. I'm a DIY'er and have never attempted such a large project. I was able to install all the plumbing and fixtures myself. The instructions were clear enough for me to get it right the first time around. The only thing I'd do differently is I would leave a larger whole for the openings. There is no real direction for this and I ended up struggling to get everything hooked up with an opening that was just big enough for the plumbing to poke through. Tried adding a photo and it wouldn't upload.

Love this!
We have been very pleased with this shower trim. The separate levers for hot/cold water and volume are a great feature that allow you to control those functions independently versus most shower trims. Will likely change out other showers to have the same functionality. It does show some spots - so just make sure to wipe it down after showering.

Champagne bronze finish
We purchased this, the handheld shower with sliding bar along with all the necessary valves and parts necessary. Chose the Champagne bronze color, just beautiful soft, brushed, muted goldish hue. Not brassy or bold like the gold systems or shiny like the chrome. We used metalic, sparkly mosaic tiles and this is just a perfect color and style! Not overdone, very soft looking, really enhances the tile and the so compliments look of the bathroom!! Many, many, many great compliments on all our newly installed Delta "Champagne bronze" faucets, showers, and bathroom accessories!! They work great also. Switching from one setting to another is so very easy!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE

Dual controls are great
Best feature is being able to control water temp with one control and water flow with another. The temp setting can remain in place, but need to monitor actual temp as your hot water may fluctuate.
Unit is attractive.
We got two, but replaced the standard shower head with Delta In2ition units with handheld shower heads.
It should come without the shower head since we now have two we paid for that we will never use.

Cautious of Shower Head
The overall package of the shower trim kit is acceptable and looks good once installed. However, the shower head is suspect because it is very difficult to move at the rotation joint. Mine was so stiff right after purchasing that it broke off within a week. I got it replaced by the plumbing retailer, but the second one is extremely stiff and fragile as well. There appears to be something deficient in the design of the rotator joint for the shower head, and as such, I was forced to buy a competitor's shower head that now works great.

Bought this in conjunction with the handheld diverter, absolutely love it, set the temperature here and you don't have to fuss with it every time you get in the shower and it's the same temperature that comes out of the handheld. Unless of course somebody else uses the shower and likes it hotter or colder. very sleek look in great product

Plastic makes the product’s quality very suspect. It does feel well made. As my title indicates, it functions ok, but water flow is weak and I hate products without a solid feel.

Installation problems
When the plumber installed the first unit he found missing pieces in a sealed package from Delta. When I called Delta they were not very helpful but did send a replacement part. It was a good thing I was redoing two bathrooms so the plumber took the pieces out of the second unit. Cost me an extra 200 dollars to pay the plumber for overtime!

This is a GREAT value, high quality!
We have this same set in another bath. For four years. It looks great. Because we have a very high calcium content to the water, we pay attention. We rub down the nozzle a bit every week. We wash the handle a bit with a washcloth and a bit of "scrubbing action" whenever any white appears.
It's great to warm the shower up and get pretty much precisely the same temperature every shower (adjusted slightly as the seasons change).
This is a great product and we know we are helping the environment by the water we save...

Inadequate Water Flow
I recently had this unit installed by a professional contractor at my residence. I am very disappointed in the function of the shower head. The water flow/stream is too weak for the massage feature to be effective. The full stream setting is also weak. I am looking for a another shower head that can provide adequate water flow.
I am also disappointed in the quality of the temperature control lever as it does not turn smoothly for fine temperature adjustments. In hindsight, I would not have purchased this product.

Function is great
Bought this a while ago and finally got to install it. It operates smoothly and is so much better than our old 60s shower handle (that leaked too). I like how I can select water temp independent of flow volume. Makes showering great again! The only thing I would say is that the picture of the showerhead doesn't quite match reality. The actual head had a chrome back, a black plastic "background", and translucent/whitish nozzels where the water comes out. It is fairly big around (4 inches?) and has good water flow.

I have one question..full off on the water control is at 4 o'clock, and full on is about
one o'clock. Is this correct. I'm used to a longer range of motion.

Functions nicely, but has a few issues with trim
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for a custom luxury shower installation along with a 6-function diverter valve, body sprays and a hand shower. The items look great, and the overall function of the valve is as expected; however, I was a bit disappointed with the fit/feel of the temperature selection lever.
The temperature selection lever and its working parts are plastic and feel low-quality, and the movement of the temperature selection lever is not smooth like the volume control lever, but is more jerky (I have no complaints at all with the volume control lever movement or materials). Also, a plastic cover piece with a brushed nickle finish snaps over the temperature lever to conceal the temperature setting internals and also extends down the gray plastic temperature selection lever to conceal the gray plastic lever, but this cover doesn't fit securely to the lever and wiggles awkwardly when using the lever. This is not a deal-breaker, but at this price point, I would have expected a higher quality assembly.

Great product at a resonable price.
Purchased this product when remodeling a shower. So far we have been pleased. The instructions for the install were a bit confusing but not to the point of frustration. The separate control for temperature is a nice feature. All in all quite happy. The best feature with Delta is customer service. Great water pressure

Great shower head!

The only thing that I wish it had would be to make it so that you could adjust the intensity of the spray. Other than that, it's perfect!!

Monitor 17 vs Tempassure 17T
The description on this one (Monitor 17) states that it controls volume. What is the difference between this model and the 17T? Does the Monitor 17's larger handle just turn it on and off or does is actually control the volume? Thank you.

Need separate controls for temperature and volume
What is the simplest shower handle available that can can control temperate and pressure separately? Can I buy that without shower head (we have one already)? Please also suggest correct rough-in assembly.

Models beginning with T170 will include only the trim and cartridge for the valve and can be installed on any R10000 rough-in valve. does this trim kit work on 1700 series before 2006

The model T17238 as well as all other Delta 17 series trim kits can be used on an older 1700 series valve body, however you will need to continue using the RP32104 cartridge as the newer MultiChoice cartridge that is included with this kit, will not fit into the older valve body.

Body Sprays and Jets for "Sit Down on Bench Massage"

Want to install Body Sprays or Jets - 2 or 3 for back and 1 or 2 for legs.
These will be within 3 to 8 inches of our back and legs, since we will be sitting down and close to the wall that they are installed onto.
1. So, for a nice, powerful "massage" which should I get: T18017-SSXO, T1817-SS, T50001-SS, 50100-SS, 50102-SS or combinations thereof?
2. Option (1) to turn on "massagers" for back only, for legs only, or for both back and legs.
3. Option (2) to turn on "massagers" for back and legs together only, no need to have them separately controlled.
4. What other items (Valve, Trim, Diverter?) do I need?

Thank you for your questions. Delta Faucet model # T17238 needs to be paired with the R10000-UNBXHF if you are never going to have a tub spout with the faucet. This will get you more flow from your features.
Regarding your massage choices, the T18017-SSXO will give you 2.5 gpm split between two jets. You will need the R1827-XO with it.
If you use the 50100-SS (1.8 gpm) or the 50102-SS (2.0 gpm), you will also need the R11000 diverter rough-in wittthe T11800-SS for 3 settings or T11900-SS for 6 settings.
With the T17238 and the R10000-UNBXHF, you will have 6.7 gpm at 60 psi so you will need to watch how many jets you are running at one time.

Which valve should I get for the shower only Model # T17038?

Model T17038 is a 17 series valve trim only but can work with any of our MultiChoice Universal rough-in valves such as R10000-UNBXHF (high flow, shower only) depending on your installation needs and how you intend to connect the valve. Once the water temperature setting has been established, shouldn't I be able to simply turn the shower on in the future without having to reset the shower water temperature valve?

Thank you for your question! The temperature knob will stay in the position it was in when last used, so you can turn the faucet off and back on without having to find the same temperature setting.

I have T17238-SS and need it to control 2 shower heads
I currently have the T17238-SS with R100000-UN Valve.
I want to add a 2nd Showerhead (Raincan).
I will only use 1 showerhead at a time, never both together.
1. Can I keep current Valve or need a different one?
2. Do I need a Diverter or is the current Valve and Trim okay?
3. Suggestions for a Raincan that will match T17238-SS, need it to have as-long-as-possible arm to reach out from wall.
Thank you for your question. To pair with your Delta Faucet model T17238-SS and R10000-UN, we recommend Delta Faucet model R10000 diverter rough and T11800-SS diverter trim. If you are never going to use the two showerheads at the same time, you can also purchase RP71717 cartridge and they will not have a shared position.
We have a raincan showerhead that matches the Lahara collection with model RP51305SS and an extendable shower arm with model U6930-SS. It extends 13"-22" from the wall.

Confusing answer above
I am sorry but I found you answer to my question (both above) confusing. From Delta spec sheet: RP71717 is Non-shared 2 function cartridge for use with 3-setting diverter trim. However, RP71718 (not mentioned in your answer) is Non-shared 3 function cartridge for use with 6-setting diverter trim.
In bath1 I proposed T11800 which is 3-setting diverter trim.
In bath2 I proposed T11900 which is 6-setting diverter trim.
I think the answer to my question should be ONE of these two choices:
1. All proposed components in both baths are correct. The only pieces you are missing from your bath set-ups is the RP71717 for bath1 and RP71718 for bath2.
OR
2. All proposed components in both baths are correct except T11900 in bath2 - T11800 should be used instead. The only piece you are missing from both bath set-ups is the RP71717.
So, which one is correct, 1 or 2 ? Thanks
