Not sure if this is normal size and our previous shower head was oversized or if it really is smaller than average but it just doesn't work in our set-up. The general style of it is nice and modern and the quality is good. The install has a lot of parts but nothing unexpected. Probably not for a newbie.

My husband installed it, there was some spicy language, but that’s to be expected when installing a new item in an old space. Didn’t take him too long to install it, everything is included (except tools). A small upgrade, but makes a big difference.

There were a lot of plastic pieces that over time will get destroyed from the water. With it being black I can see the calcium deposits and residue already. It’s good looking if you’re just using it for show.

Pros are the beautiful contemporary design looks great in our newly remodeled bathroom, it has separate controls for temperature and water flow, the shower head produces the perfect coverage without using extra water. The only con was that this was not a DIY job for us and we had to hire a professional to install it for us.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quality shower set with a few shortcomings This shower head/handle combo has a nice square appearance that is modern without trying too hard to appear modern. I’m grateful that Delta now offers this shower combo in matte black to match our other bathroom accessories. The build quality is good enough, though there is more plastic involved than I would expect for something at this price point. The handle is constructed of heavy duty metal, but the temperature selector that sits inside the handle is made of plastic, as is the trim ring. Additionally, the lightweight shower head is made of cheap-feeling plastic. I opted for this model because it offers separate controls for the water pressure and temperature. Unfortunately, in order to get enough water pressure, I had to spend an hour cutting and drilling to remove the flow regulator. When this was in place, there wasn’t enough pressure for a satisfying shower. (Thank you California water regulations.) But now that the regulator is out of the way, the handle allows us to adjust the pressure beautifully. Without a doubt, my favorite feature of the shower head is the H2Okinetic® technology. Its water dispersion pattern offers a full, soothing shower experience. Now that I’m used to H2Okinetic®, I probably won’t go back to a regular shower head. It’s that nice. While the build quality could’ve been better, and I was frustrated by the flow regulator, it’s a solid product. If you can live with these shortcomings, you’ll be very pleased with the other features the product offers.

I love the geometric design and the matte black finish. I knew that going with Delta would deliver on the quality, and these work as good as they look. Since you can't really adjust the spray pattern I wondered if I would like it- but the pressure and spray are perfect for me!

It was easy getting the correct mixing valve and making sure this was CA compliant which was a necessity for us. This checked the boxes for us on price and look. We ordered the matte black version and it seems many manufacturers haven't caught up with this trend. Time will tell how this holds up.

We were going for the modern farmhouse look and it’s a great fit! The finish is easy to keep clean and doesn’t get spotty. The shower head gives great coverage and the valve assembly is smooth to operate. Make sure to purchase the rough in valve, sold separately.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Shower Valve, Take Two I renovated a bathroom and went from a tub to a stand up shower. I selected the Delta T17267 Valve for it's separate flow and temperature controls. I had installed the rough valve and about 3 weeks later installed the flow valve. I opened it up and found I had no hot water. I reread the instructions and kept moving the temperature stop one tooth counterclockwise. Still no heat. I turned it all the way up and could only get 97 degree water from the showerhead. I emailed Delta through their website. They asked what type of water heater I used, tank or tankless. I answered their email (tank) and they got right back to me saying the problem could be in the cartridge or there could be debris in the valve. Regardless, they shipped me a new cartridge right away. I installed it and the problem was corrected, I read some reviews where people complained about the temperature control handle being made of plastic. It is, but once installed I don't see how that would be an issue. One other thing I really like about the valve is how quite it is. My old 2 handle set-up was so noisy it would wake anyone in the bedroom that shares a wall with the bathroom. This valve is so quiet it's impossible to tell that the shower is on. Thank you Delta. Your customer service is second to none.

And the handheld part of this whole ensemble is absolutely ridiculous. Four pitiful little rivulets of water when both the shower head and the handheld are on at the same time. I don't know what it would take to improve the water pressure - we did remove the reducer valves to no avail.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Leaky shower head [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Remodeled the bathroom and installed this shower head and valve. We had a leaky shower head by 6 months. The contractor replaced the cartridge (i think that is what is called) and another leaky shower head after another 6 months (leaking about 5 gallons per day). Contractor is out of warranty so now i need to find a plumber and pray we dont have to tear out the new tile to replace the valve!! In speaking to other remodelers, they tell me this is why they dont skimp on costs for showerheads and avoid cheap brands like Delta. They go with better quality to mitigate leaky valve problems which require tear-out

The Temperature adjustment knob is plastic. What is the trick to installing the temperature knob, without cracking the plastic latch tabs? How does it align, is it a straight push and snap? Suggestion?

Thank you for your question, Dale. To attach the temperature knob cover, hook the front of the cover onto the knob and then press the back of the cover until it clicks into place. Two questions, one about diverter valve, one about material

1. I am installing a fixed and hand shower only, no tub faucet. Do you have a diverter that allows water from both the showerhead and hand shower simultaneously? 2. What material are the trim plate and handles made of? Thank you.

Hi Crash, Thank you for your question. Our 3-setting diverters will allow you to run the shower head and hand shower together or individually. Can I buy the Ara shower control only, without the shower head?

The Ara Monitor 17 series features the dial and shower head. I would like to purchase the dial only as I want to have a handshower. Is it possible to just buy the dial? Thanks.

Is this shower head part of your Touch-clean technology or does the head need to be cleaned with a vinegar solution?

Hello HeyJudeOregon, Thank you for your inquiry! The Delta H2OKinetic Shower Head RP70171 that comes with the Ara Shower Trim T17267 does not come with the touch clean feature. The cleaning care we advise for all Delta units state: Always blot dry any water from faucet surface. Allowing water to evaporate on the surface can lead to build up of mineral deposits. Cleaning with a damp non-abrasive sponge and buffing it dry with a clean soft cloth should help keep your product looking beautiful. To remove water spots, use warm water and a soft, damp cloth. Hard water stains may be removed using a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water. Make certain that you rinse thoroughly with water afterward. If additional cleaning is required, all of our finishes may be cleaned with the following household cleaners: Formula 409&reg; Antibacterial All Purpose Cleaner, Fantastik&reg; All Purpose Cleaner, or Windex&reg; Original Glass Cleaner, when used according to the manufacturers' instructions for use. Avoid using the following which can damage your finish: Avoid industrial cleaners and abrasive cleaners, such as those used for toilet bowls, green Scotch-Brite heavy duty scrub sponges, Scrubbing Bubbles Bathroom Cleaner and Lysol Basin Tub, Soft Scrub, and Tile Cleaner. Avoid products that state on the label that they remove tarnish and rust, and those containing hydrofluoric, hydrochloric and/or phosphoric acids and caustic agents. The temperature control markings are backwards. Hot and cold indicators are opposite of how shower operates.&nbsp;

My understanding is that the shower head only has a single spray pattern. Is so, can I instead get a head that has 5 spray settings such as the In2ition model 58620-BL
