Rated 5 out of 5 by from As expected from a quality Delta Faucet! Better than another older Delta faucet set, this one is easier to maneuver for younger kids, so I can let my kids fill up the bathtub and adjust the proper temperature to their liking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product We love our Delta with integrated volume control. We used it at a friends house and decide to put it into are bathroom remodel. We did two bathrooms and put in both. It's nice to be able to adjust temperature and they look great.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Looks Only I love the look of this product. Unfortunately after being installed for only 8 months I had to have the cartridge replaced.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We love this faucet. The different modes are great. My family loves the different spray modes. I like the fact that I don't have to adjust the temperature every time I take a shower. Also, the bathroom does not steam up like it did before. Very happy with this product. Each of our two bathrooms has the faucet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Like the seperate temperature control I purchased this faucet because the temperature control is seperate from the on/off control. It works great but during installation you may have to adjust the handle assembly so the water is off while your are installing the handles. The instructions do not explain how to do this so you will have to figure it out yourself. Also, the pull down on/off switch for the shower is not quick. The water has to be coming from the shower completely before you can release the pull down knob. If you are not patient you will not like this. I would buy this again as I like how it works.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Small detail never mentioned We bought this tub and shower trim to match the shower-only fixture we had in another bathroom that we love - the separate temperature and pressure controls. But in a tub, you have to pull out a ring in the faucet to get the shower to come on, and you can't keep it in 'shower only' mode like every other tub faucet I've ever used. So it gets points removed for this...

Rated 3 out of 5 by from does the job I renovated 2 baths recently. In the first I used Kohler shower/tub faucets which don't allow you to control the volume of water unless you spend a few hundred extra for another handle and additional plumbing. With this model from Kohler you can control the volume, and it works well. The overall appearance is its negative. It looks a little flimsy. This is in contrast to the Delta kitchen faucet I recently bought, which is solid as all heck.

will this trim fit an old 1500 series valve body

Asked by: joe p
Thank you for your question, Joe! If the screw holes on the original escutcheon plate are at 1 and 7 o'clock, this trim will work on the existing valve using the RP32104 cartridge (sold separately). If the screws are at 5 and 7, you will need an R10000 Rough-In Valve to install this trim kit as we do not make a compatible trim for your existing unit. Best regards, Jon

Is the flow restriction device in the shower head removable?

Asked by: ron57
Hello ron57, Thank you for your question regarding the Delta Classic Monitor® 17 Series Tub & Shower Trim. I will be happy to assist you today. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend removing the flow restrictor from the shower head as it will no longer meet the specific plumbing codes and could potentially disrupt the way the model functions. Also, removal of the flow restrictor will void the warranty for this product. For more information on our flow restrictors, please visit the link below: I hope this information helps. If you ever have any other questions, concerns, or require anything further please feel free to give us a call on our warranty line at 800-345-3358 and we will be happy to assist you in any way that we can. I have an older (20 years) Monitor 17. Will the valve in that unit work with this trim?

Asked by: MarkB
Dear MarkB, Thank you for your inquiry! Yes, the Delta Classic 17 Series Trim T17430-SS will work on your older 1700 series valve and cartridge assembly, As long as the screw holes on your large round escutcheon plate are at the 1 and 7 o'clock positions and you do not have a push button shower diverter directly below the off and on handle. Any of the Delta tub and shower trim kits that start with a T17, except for the T17T series trim kits will interchange for you. The cartridges that come with the new trim kits will not fit your valve body, so you will need to reuse your existing cartridge (RP32104 White cap). Best regards, Tanya

Can you clarify differences between the 3 Classic Monitor 17 Series models?

T17430 (and -MTS and -SOS) have separate volume controls, but only the -SOS is listed as having the dual-function pressure balance cartridge. "Understanding Delta Valve Cartridges" says the dual function cartridge supports separate volume control, but does not say that for the single function cartridge. This seems contradictory - how does the T-17430 and T-17430-MTS with single function cartridges provide for separate volume control? Also, I 'd like to verify whether the spouts for T-17430 and the -SOS are plastic or metal.
Asked by: Harold
Hi Harold, Thank you for your questions. All three models have the dual-function pressure balance cartridge. The tub spouts for T17430 and T17430-MTS are metallic while the tub spout for T17430-SOS is nonmetallic. Best Regards, Courtney

Hi, I bought the T17430-SOS Delta model, how much copper pipe is needed to be coming out of the wall surface for the tub spout?

Asked by: Vinny M
Hi Vinny M, Thank you for your question. The SOS model has a slip-on spout, which requires 2-4" of copper pipe extending from the finished wall. Best regards, Jon
