I feel comfortable knowing the temperature can be pre-set and safe for all family members. The style of the unit looks great in the new bath. We have gotten lots of compliments. Our plumbers were very impressed that we had chosen to go with Delta fixtures. They said they are among the best!

And being able to have it set to mix it to a good temperature when first turning on the water, rather than turning on the water and then adjusting for the temperature, is just what I wanted. I think it helps save water. It looks great and functions well, sending all the water to the shower head when switched; no water runs out the tub spout, another water saver. Very pleased.

self-cleaning? materials?

Are all &quot;H2Okinetic&quot; shower heads &quot;self-cleaning&quot;? or only those which explicitly state that in their descriptions? Also, are all the components in this kit brass? thank you!

Hi brbarrett, Thank you for your question. All of the H2Okinetic showerheads are self cleaning. Because the water oscillates as it leaves the spray hole, the H2Okinetic&reg; chip is self-cleaning and does not allow lime to build up over time. Not all of the components of the model T17438-H2O are brass. Thanks, Dave

rough valve

what is the model number for the rough value for the T17438-H20? I assume it's the same model number for the T17461 Do you whether the rough valve will it be included if I buy the product from Amazon?

Thank you for your question. Both Delta Faucet model numbers will require the Delta Faucet model # R10000-UNBX rough-in valve. I don't believe that the rough in valve is in included with your order at Amazon but I would check with them to be 100% sure.

The set is beautiful but the tub spout is too short for the tub we have. Any recommendations on extensions or compatible spouts that are an inch or so longer?

Thank you for your question, BrandonKY! Model T17438-SSH2O uses the RP51303 Lahara tub spout. Although we do not offer a longer spout in this collection, we do have other options that will connect the same way and are also offered in the Stainless Steel finish. The Cassidy and Victorian tub spouts are the most similar stylistically and I will include links to both below. What is the diameter of the cover plate in the trim kit?
