With separate handles for volume and temperature control, this Delta® tub/shower provides a more refined showering experience. Simply set the water at your preferred temperature and turn the shower on or off with the volume control handle - without interrupting your set temperature. Delta pressure-balance valves use Monitor® Technology to protect you and your family from sudden temperature changes. The pause setting gives you ample space for shaving, lathering and other shower tasks, then easily restarts the water with the temperature where you left off. This spray setting helps you conserve water, so you can worry less about depleting your supply of hot water - and you help the environment too. While other products may gather unsightly mineral build-up over time, Delta soft rubber Touch-Clean® spray holes allow any mineral residue to simply be wiped away for an instantly refreshed look – with no need for soaking or the aid of chemical cleaners.
  • Control volume and water temperature independently with two separate handles for more refined control of your shower experience
  • Monitor pressure balance valve keeps water temperature within a safe +/-3degrees F (+/-1.6degrees C), helping to protect you from sudden changes in hot or cold water pressure
  • Spray settings: Pause, Full Body Spray, Full Spray w/Massage, Fast Massage, Soft Drench Spray
  • Trim kit only, must order MultiChoice Universal rough-in separately to complete the unit
  • Soft, rubber Touch-Clean spray holes allow you to easily wipe away calcium and lime build-up from the spray face of your shower head and hand shower with the touch of a finger
  • Single lever handle for ease of control
  • Meets standards set by Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
  • WaterSense labeled shower heads use at least 20% less water than the industry standard without compromising performance
  • Set ideal temperature and adjust volume separately
  • 5-setting shower head
  • Valve is not included, must purchase separately

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Tub spigot is abysmal Unfortunately this is a low quality construction and the tub spout just sprays water all over

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Design flaw This should not come with a diverter in the faucet. It's managed by the handle. If you order this with a hand sprayer as well, the faucet diverter value will cause the water to back up. Design flaw? Maybe, but huge hassle as I need a different faucet that is non0diverter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome product I got this a few weeks ago. I just got to install it about a week ago. The water is coming through the shower head better than it did in our old one. It makes such a difference when we take a shower. I really enjoy taking a shower now. It was tricky at first to hook it up but then we got it. I recommend this too my friends and family.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to install I recieved the Delta shower/faucet set about a month ago and installed it the day we received it. Installation was a breeze and it really helped to make our shower look updated and new again! The set has had no issues with leaking or not fitting properly. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for simple remodeling.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High quality and looks nice Really loving this set. Was a great upgrade from what I had before. Easy to use the handle to adjust the temperature. Strong steam and even spray of the shower head. Stays shiny even when dried with water.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to install! I had never installed a shower head, tub spout, etc. but this product was super easy to install! Overall the appearance is great and it works well with my bathroom. The shower head provides a nice flow once it is dialed in correctly. One great thing is that if someone else starts using water (i.e. flushes toilet, starts washing machine) the water temperature and flow does not change through this shower head. The best feature of this set is that there are two handles: one turns the shower on and the other controls the temperature. I always hated trying to find that temperature that was just right every time I got in the shower. With this setup I can have the same temperature shower every time! Overall, a great product that I would definitely recommend.

Can I use an existing 1700 rough valve for a new T17438-SS Lahara Monitor 17 Series Tub and Shower Trim?

Asked by: Dwayne
Thank you for your question, Dwayne. This trim will work with an existing pre-2006 1700 series valve using the original cartridge (part number RP32104). Best regards, Jon

We have the R1000-UNBX universal mount with this faucet. Why are we getting water out of the shower piece when we turn on the hot? We don't have

the shower activated but we are getting water out of the shower valve. The hot water is not hot. It is hot coming out of other faucets.
Asked by: Angie
Hi Angie, We are sorry that you are experiencing a problem with your faucet. Most likely, you are experiencing "shower-rise" where the water can’t get out of the spout as fast as it flows through the valve. This causes the water to back up and come out the shower head. There can be one of several reasons for this: The valve could be upside down The length from the valve to the tub spout is outside of the 8" to 18" rule There is more than one 90-degree angle Something other than copper or galvanized pipe was used going to the spout The most common reason is that there is something restricting the water flow to the spout, e.g. solder or something lodged in the pipe. Something is impeding the flow of water to the spout and causing it to back up and go out the shower head. If this is the cause of shower-rise it is possible to remove the blockage by removing the tub spout; then, feeding a plumber’s snake or a speedometer cable up through the tub drop. The act of feeding it causes it to twirl and loosen the blockage. Be sure to flush the valve before reinstalling the tub spout. Be sure to check the tub spout itself for blockage. If none of these help, you may need to call a plumber. After the shower has been installed and the wall has been closed, there is little that can be done to remedy this situation yourself. Your faucet is equipped with a rotational limit stop that allows you to set the max hot water temperature on your faucet. Making the adjustment to this piece will raise the water temperature in the faucet. Here is a link to the How to adjust the rotational limit stop video. The 17 series portion of the video starts at 1:50 into the video. Thanks, Dave

What diverter trim is needed for T-17438-ss Lahara Monitor17 series?

I am having a new tub and shower installed. I would like to add the 57021-ss handheld with bar as well. I believe that I need to also purchase the 50560-22 elbow along with the R1000-unbx valve and the R11000 diverter valve so that I can have the hand held work in tandem or separately. My question is, what diverter trim is needed for the R11000 valve to have everything match? I also will purchase the RP693-ss waste assembly but would like to know if that is everything I need or am I forgetting to purchase a part needed to finish this project? Also, I was told at one of the big box stores that even if I purchase the R11000 diverter, I still need to have the diverter at the tub as well. Is this true? Please explain. Thank you.
Asked by: Vicki
Hi Vicki, If you are adding just the Delta Faucet model # 57021-SS to your T17438-SS, you will need the T11800-SS diverter trim to complete your faucet. If you add another feature, like jets or another showerhead, you will need the T11900-SS. We recommend that you use a tub spout diverter when hooking everything up because if you divert the water using your R11000 diverter rough to your tub spout, there will be times when your showerhead and tub spout are on at the same time. Thanks. Jody

Is the stainless finish similar to brushed nickel or satin nickel, or neither?

Asked by: ladyonthelake
Hi ladyonthelake, Thank you for your question! Stainless Steel is a close match to both of these finishes. However, we recommend to compare them in the store as there are slight differences. Best regards, Jon

For a $300 trim set and using the Universal Rough In Valve, how long will it take to fill 60 gallons in an 80 gallon tub for a good soak? What is the flow rate out of the tub spigot? Thanks!

Asked by: Anonymous
Thank you for your question, Anonymous! The flow rate will depend on the trim kit used with the rough-in valve, the pressure in the home, and other factors. However, at 60 PSI the maximum flow rate will be about 6.0 GPM with the Delta Lahara Tub and Shower T17438-SS model. Best regards, Tanya

Which Lahara tub/shower models and which Monitor series tub/shower models have a metal tub spout?

Asked by: Matt
Dear Matt, Thank you for your inquiry! The Delta Lahara Tub and Shower T17438-SS faucet and collection style does not have an all metal tub spout. The only Delta Tub and Shower full trim kit that comes with an all metal tub spout is the Delta Zura T17474-SS. Best regards, Tanya

Is the loweer tub spout designed to use the "C1" method of attachment like the directions state?

I do not want to solder on an adapter as in the "C4" method. I just want to slip the spout on to the 1/2" copper pipe and tighten a set screw.
Asked by: Tim
Hi Tim, Thank you for your question. The tub spout that comes with the Lahara collection can only be sweated onto 1/2" C.W.T. or threaded onto 1/2" IPS. Best Regards, Courtney
