We recommend using RP77092 with our Ashlyn T17464-I. To do this, we recommend using our R10000 valve with our R11000 diverter rough-in and a diverter trim. We appreciate your inquiry. The Delta Faucet Ashlyn Monitor 17 Series Shower Trim With In2ition In Chrome MODEL: T17464-I will need the seats and spring replaced from inside the cartridge. We also recommend flushing the unit. The most common cause of a leak rate is debris. The best way to clear any debris is to flush the supply lines. To do this, turn off the water supplies, remove the cartridge, and turn the supplies back on for one minute. Please make sure that you are getting good flow through both the hot and cold sides while flushing. You can also shake the cartridge back and forth to make sure the back half of the cartridge rattles. This means that the pressure-balancing spool is moving freely, as it should. With any hand shower, the part that you would grab onto is typically made of plastic or a plastic mixture, as metal is heavier, susceptible to corrosion, and retains heat. I am sorry the Delta Faucet Ashlyn® Monitor® 17 Series Shower Trim With In2ition® In Stainless MODEL#: T17464-SS-I is leaking, I know this can be frustrating, and I am happy to help you! We would recommend flushing the unit, this should help with the leak your experiencing. To flush the open valve without the cartridge, please follow the directions below. 1) Remove the handle by loosening the set screw on the side of the base of the handle. The set screw is either a 1/8" or 3/32" Allen screw. So you will need to use the appropriate size Allen wrench to loosen it. Loosen it just enough to be able to easily pull the handle off. * Note. If there is calcium build-up at the base of the handle, it may be necessary to soak it in a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water. Simply saturate the rag with the 50/50 solution, wrap it around the handle base and place a plastic bag over it. I would recommend do this the night before removing the handle. 2) After removing the handle, remove the trim sleeve. 3) Then you will need to remove the bonnet nut. The bonnet nut is the threaded ring at the valve opening. It unscrews counterclockwise. You will need a pipe wrench or a pair of channel locks. 4) After removing the bonnet nut, you will need to pull the cartridge straight out. You may need a small, skinny bladed screwdriver to wedge in between the lip of the cartridge and the valve to help start it out. 5) Once the cartridge is removed, you will have an open valve body. 6) Next, shut the shower door or curtain and turn the water on to the valve. Water should gush out, much like an open fire hydrant. Have someone observe if there is good water pressure coming out of the valve and let it flush for 30 seconds. 7) Re-install the cartridge and re-assemble in reverse of how it was disassembled. The Tub/Shower should then have a good flow. If it does not, the cartridge will need to be replaced. Thank you for being a loyal Delta Faucet customer. It is typically used with a round escutcheon, but could also work with this tub and shower trim. Allowing water to evaporate on the surface can lead to build up of mineral deposits. Cleaning with a damp non-abrasive sponge and buffing it dry with a clean soft cloth should help keep your product looking beautiful. To remove water spots, use warm water and a soft, damp cloth. Hard water stains may be removed using a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water. Make certain that you rinse thoroughly with water afterward. The nubbins can be cleaned by running your fingers over the nubbins, you can remove the hose from the hand shower and turn the water on to see if there is any debris lodged into the hose.
