I was so excited to change out my shower head. The color and look is very modern and very easy to use once installed. The water pressure was normal for us. Installing on the other hand took some elbow grease. Not sure if it's because my bathroom is a little older but installation took a little longer then anticipated. But overall I love it.

Beautiful finish
If I divert the water to just one part it gets higher pressure, it's only low pressure when both the center and the outer part are both spraying water. I turned it to where it was just spraying from the outer part and the middle and both felt comfortable as far as pressure goes. The center has higher pressure but less overall coverage, obviously.

What other type of valve can be used for the installation? I can't find at local store the MultiChoice Universal Tub and Shower Valve - R10000-IP
would the R100000-UNBX Valve work?
Hi Picols, Thank you for your question. The R10000-UNBX rough will work with the T17464-I tub/shower trim. The R10000-UNBX has 1/2" male pipe connections compared to the R10000-IP which has 1/2" female pipe connections.

How long is the spray hose? It appears to be 60 inces long out of the box, but I was told it should be 69 inches for the model T17464-I. What accounts for the discrepancy?

Thank you for your question. The Delta Monitor T17464-RB-I Tub and Shower Faucet includes a diverter tub spout. To divert water from the tub spout assembly to the shower head, simply pull up on the lift rod on top of the diverter tub spout.

What parts of this product are plastic ?

I have read "Reviews" that state the major parts of the assembly are made of plastic with a chrome finish.
I have also read "Reviews" that after average use of the center hand-held section, it eventually wears out and the center hand-held section will not stay in its "home" cradle position. The reviews say that after a while the hand-held section is just left to hang.

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet mocel # T17464-I has both metallic and non-metallic parts. The showerhead is non-metallic.
Regarding the handheld not fitting back into its cradle, we have not had this issue before. The faucet is under a limited lifetime warranty to the original owner. If you ever have an issue with it, please contact our Home Owner/Warranty line.

Thank you for your question! At 60 PSI, the flow rate of the tub spout should be 6 gallons per minute. At 80 PSI, the flow rate of the tub spout should be 7 gallons a minute. I have attached the Technical Specifications for your perusal if you need more information.

Just installed this unit and cannot get water hot enough. Is the "monitor" causing this?

When the flow/volume control handle is rotated fully clockwise ("off"), there's a slow drip from the faucet; rotating counter-clockwise ~20° stops the drip. How can this be corrected, so the rotational stop limit of the volume control handle = "off"?

Thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company! I am sorry the Delta Faucet Ashlyn® Monitor® 17 Series Shower Trim With In2ition® In Stainless MODEL#: T17464-SS-I is leaking, I know this can be frustrating, and I am happy to help you!
We would recommend flushing the unit, this should help with the leak your experiencing. To flush the open valve without the cartridge, please follow the directions below.
1) Remove the handle by loosening the set screw on the side of the base of the handle. The set screw is either a 1/8" or 3/32" Allen screw. So you will need to use the appropriate size Allen wrench to loosen it. Loosen it just enough to be able to easily pull the handle off. * Note. If there is calcium build-up at the base of the handle, it may be necessary to soak it in a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water. Simply saturate the rag with the 50/50 solution, wrap it around the handle base and place a plastic bag over it. I would recommend do this the night before removing the handle.
2) After removing the handle, remove the trim sleeve.
3) Then you will need to remove the bonnet nut. The bonnet nut is the threaded ring at the valve opening. It unscrews counterclockwise. You will need a pipe wrench or a pair of channel locks.
4) After removing the bonnet nut, you will need to pull the cartridge straight out. You may need a small, skinny bladed screwdriver to wedge in between the lip of the cartridge and the valve to help start it out.
5) Once the cartridge is removed, you will have an open valve body.
6) Next, shut the shower door or curtain and turn the water on to the valve. Water should gush out, much like an open fire hydrant. Have someone observe if there is good water pressure coming out of the valve and let it flush for 30 seconds.
7) Re-install the cartridge and re-assemble in reverse of how it was disassembled. The Tub/Shower should then have a good flow. If it does not, the cartridge will need to be replaced.

I just did a remodel of my bathroom and installed the Ashlyn Shower in the stainless finish. However on the faucet there are a couple places that show a yellow tarnished like color on the top. How can I clean this and keep it looking clean?

Always blot dry any water from faucet surface. Allowing water to evaporate on the surface can lead to build up of mineral deposits. Cleaning with a damp non-abrasive sponge and buffing it dry with a clean soft cloth should help keep your product looking beautiful. To remove water spots, use warm water and a soft, damp cloth. Hard water stains may be removed using a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water. Make certain that you rinse thoroughly with water afterward.
