With separate handles for volume and temperature control, this Delta tub/shower provides a more refined showering experience. Simply set the water at your preferred temperature and turn the shower on or off with the volume control handle - without interrupting your set temperature. While other products may gather unsightly mineral build-up over time, Delta soft rubber Touch-Clean® spray holes allow any mineral residue to simply be wiped away for an instantly refreshed look – with no need for soaking or the aid of chemical cleaners. Delta® thermostatic valves use TempAssure® Technology to protect you and your family from sudden temperature changes. An ornate blend of deep, warm tones and subtle highlights give Venetian Bronze® a hand-brushed look that can transform a bath. Offering a smooth contrast to light tones and coordinating well with darker ones, this finish can have a beautiful soothing effect on almost any space.

I have a couple of these showers and barely new and I need to internally clean them, water does not go through, probably the lines were dirty because of construction. Any tips? Thanks Ivan

Hi, Ivan. Thank you for your question, and I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing flow issues with your Delta T17T251-SP shower head. To clean, we recommend to take the shower head off of the shower arm. This can be soaked in a solution of 50% white vinegar and 50% water mixture. This can be soaked for an hour or even overnight to help clear out any debris that maybe causing the flow issue. Best Regards, Rosanna

Can you place a longer bar on this unit to allow it to function more as a rain shower overhead?

I have a TempAssure 17T shower head that is leaking water around the edge. The 81 holes that provide the best spray are fine.There does not appear to be a way to take it apart and seal it. Please advise.

If the leak is at the edge of the shower head and is occurring when the water is on, we recommend to replace the shower head. There are two versions of the shower head. RP62283SS is 2.5 GPM and the 52283-SS is 2.0 GPM. If you should need more assistance with this issue, please contact our Delta Customer Service line at (800)345-3358. Can a handheld be added to this combination? We would like the showerhead as well as a handheld.

Thank you for your question, Carrie! There are a couple options to divert the water between the showering components. The first is an in-wall diverter. For this, you will need the R11000 Rough-In Valve and a 3 Setting Diverter Trim Kit such as model T11851. You will also need a supply elbow for the hand shower hose, such as the 50560. The second option is to use a shower arm diverter, such as the U4923-PK or U4929-PK. Best regards. Jon

in the stainless finish, which parts of shower are plastic?

Description doesn't mention, but other site reviews indicate many parts made of plastic. Is this correct for this color combo?

We need the set screw for the Volume Control Handle for T17T251.  Unfortunately it was lost out of the box before installation.

How do you get the mixer handle off? There is no set screw. I need to adjust the temp

We will be happy to assist you as quickly as possible. To remove the handle, first, remove the cap on the temperature knob. It is held in place by friction. Soak the area with 50/50 white vinegar and water to remove mineral deposits if necessary. I cannot get the temperature control handle off, i removed the center screw. What am i missing it wont budge and i don't want to force it off
