Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # T17T253 can have a handheld shower and body sprays added to it. We recommend using the R11000 diverter rough along with the T11953 6-setting 3-port diverter trim. We have a couple of handshowers to recommend. Model 55530 is a wall-mount handshower, and model 57530 is a slide bar handshower. Either handshower will need model 50570 wall elbow. We also can recommend a couple of body sprays. We have an H2Okinetic spray at 1.8 gpm in model 50101 and a 2.0 gpm body spray in model 50150.

Hi Sherrie, Thank you for your question. The shower head may be installed on a different wall from the valve. However, the tub spout must be installed 8-18" directly below the valve. Installing the tub spout outside of these specifications can lead to back pressure, which may cause water to come out of the shower head while using the tub spout. Best regards, Jon

Thank you for your question. To be able to use these features, you will need to purchase Delta Faucet model # R11000 diverter valve and T11953 6-setting 3-port diverter trim. This will allow you to use each feature individually or 2 of the features together. You will not be alble to use all three features together. We also recommend the R10000-UNBXHF for the T17T253 trim package. This will give you a better water flow with all of your features.

I'm the original poster of this question and I should clarify that I was referring to the stainless finish. In response to the answer posted above, none of the solutions suggested were effective in removing water spots. I ended up using Soft Scrub on a sponge (sponge only, not an abrasive pad), in very small amounts, slowly increasing the pressure until it started taking off the water spots. I was careful and went slowly and it didn't seem to affect the finish, but I can see why you generally wouldn't recommend people use abrasive products. That said, Delta needs to go back to the drawing board on this finish. It's unrealistic to expect people to either blot dry their faucet controls after every shower, or accept water spots that can't be removed without damaging the finish. No one wants to be drying off the faucet handle after every shower. It's going to get spots and you need to make it with a finish that's tough enough to handle a cleaner that will remove water spots without sustaining damage.

The included showerhead is designed to limit the maximum flow rate to 2.5 gallons per minute or 1.75 gpm for water efficient (WE) models. The flow restrictor in the showerhead is not designed to be removable. To troubleshoot an issue with the flow, we recommend unscrewing the showerhead and running full mixed water for a minute to check the flow from the shower arm and flush out the shower valve. Our Delta Faucet Vero® TempAssure® 17T Series Shower Trim In Chrome MODEL#: T17T253 has a flow rate of 2.5 GPM @ 80 PSI, if you are experiencing low flow then we would recommend flushing and soaking the unit. I have included the flushing instructions below. To flush the open valve without the cartridge, please follow the directions below. 1) Remove the handle by loosening the set screw on the side of the base of the handle. The set screw is either a 1/8" or 3/32" Allen screw. So you will need to use the appropriate size Allen wrench to loosen it. Loosen it just enough to be able to easily pull the handle off. * Note. If there is calcium build-up at the base of the handle, it may be necessary to soak it in a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water. Simply saturate the rag with the 50/50 solution, wrap it around the handle base and place a plastic bag over it. I would recommend do this the night before removing the handle. 2) After removing the handle, remove the trim sleeve. 3) Then you will need to remove the bonnet nut. The bonnet nut is the threaded ring at the valve opening. It unscrews counterclockwise. You will need a pipe wrench or a pair of channel locks. 4) After removing the bonnet nut, you will need to pull the cartridge straight out. You may need a small, skinny bladed screwdriver to wedge in between the lip of the cartridge and the valve to help start it out. 5) Once the cartridge is removed, you will have an open valve body. 6) Next, shut the shower door or curtain and turn the water on to the valve. Water should gush out, much like an open fire hydrant. Have someone observe if there is good water pressure coming out of the valve and let it flush for 30 seconds. 7) Re-install the cartridge and re-assemble in reverse of how it was disassembled. Soaking the shower head if any debris has made its way up the shower unit to the head can cause a low flow, please soak the shower head in a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water.
