Rated 5 out of 5 by from luxury quality this is an excellent shower tub faucet series from Delta. It is very sturdy very well built. It is beautiful. I love the matte black finish. It was very easy to install and the box itself contained everything you needed to properly install it. I think it is one of the best products I bought from Delta so far I would like to purchase more for my other bathrooms. I think the price point is very valid for the quality that you're getting if you're gonna buy any other showerheads or anything like that. Consider this one it is very well worth it. Flow is perfect. The temperature. The whole shower faucet feels very luxury. It's a recommendation for sure.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as good as I hoped The technology is not as good as an older faucet that Delta used to make and that is no longer available. This tub daisy was over 20 years old but you could adjust pressure and temperature with just one knob. Also the tub spout did not use the old pull up knob to turn shower on. Overall this set is not worth the price for the technology, although the stainless steel hardware is strong and it’s look is impressive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All About the Design. I purchased this for the design, perfect line to go with a semi old fashioned themed bathroom with pedestal sink. I searched high and low for a simple yet refined look without going into the extreme price range for "design" fixtures. I would have preferred to pay a little more for a tub spout that was all metal and that had a better closing and opening solution for the spout. None the less, I think this is a great shower tub system. Great design Delta, thank you.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice, shower system with one caveat Our plumber loves Delta fixtures--the cassidy shower system seems very well made (metal shower head and handheld shower). The main shower head is very wide (10") and has a gentle rain-like stream--hadn't realized it was so large and would have preferred a stronger shower stream in the main showerhead, but it's nice. The handheld unit is adjustable and is supposed to have 3 spray options, but only 2/3 work (we have to request a replacement or repair-will update on that later and improve my rating if it is easily resolved ). We got polished nickel, which has a beautiful soft shiny finish.

Cassidy T17T497-RB. What is the height of the rain can? How high does the shower arm arch? What additional parts do I need to pair with a wall mount handheld...I want to be able to use the handheld separate from or simultaneously with the raincan.

Thank you for your question, Jenn! The height of the shower arm is up to the consumer however ideal shower height is between 77"- 81". The height of the arm at the top of the curve is 4 1/2" (114mm). is the shower head adjustable, does it tilt

We are considering this and the 15 series. We saw the 15 series in the store and it was able to tilt. Can't tell if this does the same.

What is the material used in the Cassidy tub spout?

It feels like flimsy plastic compared to the quality of the bathroom sink spout and handles and the kitchen sink spout.

Hi Lauren, Thank you for your question. The model T17T497 Cassidy trim does come with a non-metallic tub spout. We do offer metal tub spouts like RP36497, and RP64721 that would work. However they are not styled the same as the Cassidy spout. Thanks, Dave

What is the diameter of the shower head, and how far does it come out from the wall?

tilting shower head

I was unable to see this shower head in the showroom. Previous poster asked a question about the shower head tilting. The answer was that it does tilt up and down about 19 degrees. Will it tilt to the side? For example, if in the shower and you do not want a direct spray of water, is that possible?

Thank you for your question. The showerhead should tilt in all directions the same amount. If you want to move it sideways, it should not be a problem.

Is this tub spout designed for slip-fit installation?

How to remove cartridges

Our builder installed T17T497 in our new home.  The shower works with good pressure but the spout struggles to let water flow.  There is a round plastic piece inside of the spout limiting the flow.  Is this normal?
