Rated 4 out of 5 by from Handsome shower set with faulty control Nice looking but there was a problem with a cartridge that controlled the temperature. Specifically the Cartridge ASM - 17T (this is the name of the part that was broken) did not work and we could only get extreme (freezing or boiling) temperatures. I called Delta and they agreed to send a replacement but it took a couple months. Probably because of covid. Otherwise it seems like it will be a great shower set.

My current house didn't have them and it was too hard for my grandchildren to control their own baths. We just swapped out two bathrooms for these systems. They were a little costly but everyone loves the big shower head and I feel safer with the thermostatic controls!!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks Very Nice [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We put the Delta T17T497 Cassidy TempAssure 17T Series Dual Function Thermostatic Tub and Shower Trim Package with Integrated Volume Control in our guest bathroom when it was remodeled. I like the look, but it does not work as easliy as the one I have in the masterbath. I also have the handheld spray on the slide bar, but I can never get the water to come out of one place at a time. So the shower and the tub filler are always on (just a little) at the same time depending on which you are trying to use. I don't know if the problem is in the installation or the product, and I have no way to find out. Or the problem could be that I am not sure how to use it correctly. That would mean the "ease of use" is not good. Because I don't have to use it every day, it is not a big problem, but I would suggest that anyone who get this makes sure that it is installed correctly before the installer leaves and you know how to opperate the system correctly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well-made and works well [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The product was much easier to install than another brand that I bought for the master bathroom. The only thing that is a challenge about this model is the neck/arm the shower head is on - for the height of the existing supply line, it is just a little bit tight on space under the showerhead for a taller person. I'm 6'1" and its only a short distance (maybe 2-3 inches) above my head. If you are doing a total remodel and replacing the plumbing, make sure to give yourself a little extra room in the length of the shower supply line to avoid this issue.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Unique looking and well functioning The scald protection is stellar--you never ever have to worry about getting burned from this shower/faucet combo. The only drawback I have and this may be me not knowing how to use it is that because its a combo control I can not figure out how to turn on the faucet without the shower dripping simultaneously. This is not a big deal unless you have kiddos in the bath (which I do).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product, but you need to like the aesthetics of it. I liked the product overall. Good design and color. Especially the muted Gold color which is in these days. One thing to note is that the shower head is quite large so you need to be okay with that.

The large shower head is great and the quality on all parts seems to be excelled. The tub spout is plastic, but we have not found any issues with that whatsoever. Highly recommend, in fact we might add this same shower head in our master bathroom.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful and Functional Shower/Tub Faucet This gorgeous hardware is easy to use, I did not install it so I cant speak to that but the anti scald feature works wonderfully. The only thing about this faucet is because it has the dual features that you can't maximize the water pressure without the shower coming on which is not useful for me when I have my toddlers in the tub who are afraid of the "rain".

Very pleased with Delta product and our contractor noted the quality of the piece and if he was pleased (as installer) then I was happy. Unit looks great and we also bought the matching Delta Chrome single faucet and the corresponding Delta hooks, towel rack and shelf unit to coordinate the look. Build.com person (Thomas B.) was great to deal with an unit arrived within 2 days. Very happy with Delta unit and you can use single lever to control water volume and temperature. easy to use and nice looking in Chrome.

Can the handle be swapped for a cross handle, similar to the Cassidy sink faucets?

Hello, I called Delta yesterday and was told that the T17T497 shower head does not tilt/swivel; however, in reading the Q&A here it says that it does tilt/swivel. Will you kindly confirm that the T17T497 shower head included in this set does tilt/swivel?

Does the Cassidy T17T497 have separate knob/controls for water volume and for temperature? Or is it full on then adjust temp like single know designs. I'm looking for a model with separate knobs.
