Sleek looking faucet with high arch, but has issue
I got this unit many years ago from Delta as a replacement to one I had previously purchased. Well, guess what, now this one has been discontinued.
I love the look because everything else in our bathroom is chrome, but I have issue after issue with this thing. “Maybe” that’s the reason it’s been discontinued.
I’ve put 3 diverter valves in it, 4 O rings in the spout, a couple O rings in the handles and still have leaks. The valve kit it uses is a pain in the rear. If it weren’t for the lifetime free replacement parts, I’d get something else.
I will say, Delta has really stepped up their game on customer service. They are available 6 days a week and are much faster than they used to be.

Right handle falls off constantly
I've had this tub faucet for more than 5 years and the right handle will just NOT stay on, no matter how carefully and firmly we try to attach it. Very disappointed in this product.

Laraha Delta faucets
Love the style but think twice when it shows every single water mark. It’s fine if you have the time, every time, to wipe the faucets down after every use. Lots of money for installation and product to make this mistake. Now I just have to live with it. There is only two of too!

Not the best luck with this product
I have used delta faucets before and had no problems. This faucet has a great look however within 2 years of having it, there was a problem with leaks.
I also did not like that it left spots when I would try and clean it.
I don't know if it was finish or what but I am looking for a new faucet because this one has given me so much trouble.
I had someone try and fix the leak but it started up again.

beautiful sleek looking faucets
I started out just buying the Lahara Roman tub faucet to replace my old one and ended up replacing the other 2 sink faucets in the bathroom to match. Love them all! We ran into a glitch trying to replace the tub faucet, but the Delta support team was wonderful and we got it done! I chose chrome because initially it was only the tub faucet to be replaced and needed to match. I may have gone with another color if I had know I was going to do all 3, but the chrome looks really pretty anyway in this style. Would definitely recommend!

Dimensions of the Lahara faucet
The technical specifications say that the faucet is 9 1/4" long, but the diagram says the length is either 8 1/2" or 11", depending on where it's measured from. How is the 9 1/4" dimension measured?
Also, I have a 20-year old faucet similar to the one in the picture in Sudhi's question. The answer suggests that any Delta faucet will work. However, this old one has a rod next to the main plumbing hole that looks like it's meant for additional stabilization. Does the newer faucet have that? Also, is it likely my existing rough-in will work?
Thank you for your questions. Delta Faucet model # T2738 has a length of 8 3/4" from the middle of spout to the middle of the aerator. Thank you for bringing the incorrect spec to our attention. We will get it fixed as soon as possible.
Regarding your current faucet, it sounds like you have an anti-swivel pin in your faucet now. The was used for stabilization and if it is there, then you can only replace your faucet with Delta Faucet model # T2710 without changing your existing valve. This faucet is only available in Chrome.

Does the Lahara Roman Tub trim come without the drain pin?
For applications where the drain lever is located on the tub drain assembly.

Do I have right valve for Lahara Roman Tub Trim set
I am looking to replace the old Delta trim set (circa 1996, photos attached) on my Roman tub set. How can i tell if the existing valve can be used for Lahara? It will be very difficult to change out the valve. If this valve does not work with Lahara, please recommend a currently available handle set that will work.

Thank you for your question. You're existing roman tub can be changed out to the Lahara trim without changing out the valve body inside of the deck. The way to tell is on your spout, there is a set screw either on the front or the back of the spout. Your set screw is in the back of your spout as all of our current roman tub units have. The handles for the Lahara will fit the valve bodies, as well.

My Tub has spout location is on one end of tub and cold & hot handles located across from the spout. so it is not like in your website picture... what # valve should I purchase for tub trim?

Thank you for your question. The R2707 rough-in valves are designed for 8" - 16" installations. The installation would need to be modified (additional piping added) to accommodate the separate holes.

Increase hot water temperature?
I have this unit installed in my new home and cannot figure out how to increase hot water temperature please advise.

Is it an anti-scald faucet.
MN plumbing code require tub faucets to have a temperature limiting device that meets ASSE standard 1030. Is it built into the faucet or is it needed to have a separate device installed?
Hi Jeffnels, Thank you for your question. The model T2738 roman tub trim is not anti-scald. You would need to install an additional mixing valve to the faucet hot water supply like our R2570-MIXLF.

Is the washerless stem cartridge included?
Hi Coutney, Thank you for your question. The washerless stem cartridge is not included in the T2738-RB roman tub trim. The cartridges are included in the roman tub rough in valve like the R2707.

What is the turn radius of the faucet valve/handles from off to full on?
I have Model T2738 with the R2707 kit. The existing Delta Roman tub faucet has turn knobs - not handles. I’m constrained by the backsplash and will not be able to have the “off“ position of the new faucet handles at 90 degrees to the position of the spout. I assume I can install the faucet valve at a slight angle, to have the faucet handles clear the backsplash, or in the alternative, can I just install the faucet handles on the faucet valves at an offset angle? If the full turn-on radius of the of the faucet is more than 90 degrees, it maybe hindered/blocked by the spout to achieve “full” on.
Hi Larry, Thank you for your question. It would be possible to install the valve at an angle so that the handles don't hit the backsplash in the off position. The handles range of motion is 180 degrees with full flow at approximately 135 degrees. They will hit the spout when on.

Have 20 year old Brass Delta Tub install that is similar to Roman Tub Trim Lahara Model T2738-CZ. Our install has lost brass finish; we need to replace. The only reference information we have is model no RP18277. Will new fit existing valves?

Is there an escutheon plate that fits the Lahara Roman tub Faucet? We are replacing an old faucet that is about an inch wider than the Lahara at base of faucet and I’m afraid there will be a “footprint” from the old faucet.

Installing the hot and cold handles on the roman tub deck. They fit the existing value but they are pointing the wrong way. When they are both on, the handles bump into each other.

my shower /tub has two handles and a spout that has a diverter that you pull up diverter and it causes the shower to start >could i buy this and wall mount it and buy a separate shower head trying not to tear up shower by putting in center wall unit

Our T2738-SS fits our R2707 valve only and does not have a connection for a hand shower. Adding a hand shower to this model will require cutting the wall or tub.
If you have our R4707 valve, you can use T4738-SS and use a hand shower wall mount.

The T2738 handle RP51289 does have a separate set screw, part number RP26865. If the set screw can not be removed after soaking a rag in a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water, then it would need frilled out. At that point, the handle and stem may need purchased as well.
