Hi, Thank you for your question. We do not recommend using a diverter valve with a tub spout as it will decrease the pressure and amount of water available to fill a tub. For tub spout installations, we recommend using a Univeral Multichoice rough in valve like the R10000-UNBX. Hi Kenn, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model T27T859. The included cartridge has a thermostatic valve that uses a wax element to read the temperature. The cartridge materials also include brass and plastic. The integrated diverter is for up to two shower features. For three shower features, I recommend the similar model T27T959. Hi Mike, thank you for your interest in the T27T859! We do not recommend installing a tub spout with the R22000 Integrated rough valve as the flow rate from the spout would be lower than a standard installation. Alternatively, you can install an R10000 and R11000 valve with corresponding trim kits. The tub spout should be connected to the bottom port of an R10000 valve to provide sufficient flow to fill a tub. Please accept our sincere apology for the inconvenience you are experiencing with your Contemporary Two Handle TempAssure® 17T Series Valve Trim With 3-Setting Integrated Diverter In Venetian Bronze MODEL#: T27T859-RB. Here is what we can do to resolve your issue for you. Low flow is caused by debris or blockage, we would recommend flushing the shower system, please see the step-by-step instructions below. To flush the open valve without the cartridge, please follow the directions below. 1) Remove the handle by loosening the set screw on the side of the base of the handle. The set screw is either a 1/8" or 3/32" Allen screw. So you will need to use the appropriate size Allen wrench to loosen it. Loosen it just enough to be able to easily pull the handle off. * Note. If there is calcium build-up at the base of the handle, it may be necessary to soak it in a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water. Simply saturate the rag with the 50/50 solution, wrap it around the handle base and place a plastic bag over it. I would recommend do this the night before removing the handle. 2) After removing the handle, remove the trim sleeve. 3) Then you will need to remove the bonnet nut. The bonnet nut is the threaded ring at the valve opening. It unscrews counterclockwise. You will need a pipe wrench or a pair of channel locks. 4) After removing the bonnet nut, you will need to pull the cartridge straight out. You may need a small, skinny bladed screwdriver to wedge in between the lip of the cartridge and the valve to help start it out. 5) Once the cartridge is removed, you will have an open valve body. 6) Next, shut the shower door or curtain and turn the water on to the valve. Water should gush out, much like an open fire hydrant. Have someone observe if there is good water pressure coming out of the valve and let it flush for 30 seconds. 7) Re-install the cartridge and re-assemble in reverse of how it was disassembled. The MultiChoice® Universal Integrated Shower Diverter Rough Universal MODEL#: R22000 can be used with a thermostatic or pressure balanced valve cartridge. Please reach out with further questions!
