The Delta® MultiChoice® Integrated Shower Diverter consolidates custom shower design with its consumer-preferred streamlined style eliminating the need for an additional diverter valve. The traditional round style lends a timeless feel to your space. With three popular style choices to coordinate with any bathroom décor, it provides you the flexibility to select the type of custom shower functionality you prefer. With the MultiChoice® Universal system, you have the freedom to upgrade style and functionality later. And, because there’s no need to alter plumbing behind the wall, you save time, effort and money on future renovation updates. Delta's dual-function thermostatic valve cartridge keeps water temperature consistent (within 3.6°) by actually measuring and monitoring the temperature of the water. Temperature can be set in order to remain consistent shower after shower.

Why is a tub spout application not recommended.

I am trying to understand why one of the outputs on this valve can not be a tub spout. I love the idea of temperature, flow control and diverter in one unit. Please advise. Thanks.

Hi PeggySue, Thank you for your question. We do not recommend to connect a tub spout to a diverter valve because flow will be reduced. To get the full flow rate from the tub spout, it should be connected to the bottom port of an R10000 valve. Best regards, Jon

You do not recommend connecting a tub spout to one of the ports due to reduced flow rate - what is the difference in flow rate if the tub spout IS connected to this unit vs. the recommended R10000 valve? Is flow rate the only concern?

Hi Divertthermvol seeker, Thank you for your question. This valve is not designed to be used with a tub spout. However, you may connect a non-diverter tub spout to one of the diverter ports as a temperature tester. Since the flow rate from the spout would be lower than a standard installation, we do not recommended to use it as a tub filler. The flow rate at 80 PSI is between 5.6 gpm and 7.4 gpm depending on the series of trim/cartridge used. Best regards, Tanya

Is Delta 17T available in Polished Nickel

If you have three components, A, B, and C, do I understand correctly that the six possible settings are A alone, B alone, C alone, AB, AC, BC, but that there is no option for all three ABC at the same time?

Hi, Randy! Thank you for your question. The T27T997 6 setting diverter trim has 3 individual settings and 3 shared settings. The 3 shared settings have two shower components on at the same time. There is not a setting to have three on at once. Best Regards, Rosanna

Would this diverter work with the 17 T/18T Lahera series? We have the traditional, the handheld, and we added rain shower. Plumber initially suggested above 3 way diverter would work; now say we need: You need Delta 6 setting diverter cartridge PR51919

What is the diameter of the trim? I am replacing an existing shower head, etc and do not want to replace the marble if possible.

What exactly to the settings (3 or 6) control on the diverter? Can it be used for 2 shower heads and allow full flow to both?

Dear Stan, Thank you for you inquiry. The Delta Traditional TempAssure 17T Series Valve Trim with 6-Setting Integrated Diverter T27T997 would used if you are install three different showering units. If you are just installing two shower heads, you would want the T27T897 model. This will allow you to use each showerhead by itself and then both at the same time, with their full flow rates. are all parts (except rough in) of theT27T997 valve trim (knobs, escutcheon plate, etc) made of metal (brass) or does it have plastic parts?
