Rated 5 out of 5 by El Cid from good looks, good performance It looks very nice on our "soaking" tub and the shower unit is real handy and has good water flow. The shower is not adjustable, but not an issue for us. The tub primarily belongs to the dog since that is where we bathe him and the shower is mandatory for that. He hasn't given his opinion yet. The installer did mount the faucet and shower head on one side and the handles on the opposite side for space reasons. Works very well.

The hose, when it retracts, is a little noisy but I really like having it to easy cleanup. It could be great for bathing a pet in the tub too! Overall, very pleased.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Muffy from Nice Feature I bought this a month ago and just had it installed as part of BR remodel project. We purchased it with the additional shower head for increased functionality while using the tub ( washing hair, rinsing tub, washing dog etc). and it performs well for that. Big con for this item: The angle or tilt of docked shower head is insufficient. When docking and turning water off - residual water from shower head leaks all over the tub surround and floor rather than dripping safely into tub due to the lack of angle. While this is inconvenient it is dangerous. Who wants a wet, slippery floor in Bathroom. I have called Delta to see if there is a repair extension piece that could be mounted on to increase the angle length of projection - NOOOO. So we are going to have to live with it. The tile is already cut, project is done. Doable but not fully functional! Not a happy with Delta products - this is the second faucet issue that requires a work around. When you spend this much money on one single faucet you would expect it to work in real life conditions. Looks pretty but ultimately functionality is what counts when it comes to this kind of project. I would not recommend this item.

The trim ring on the hand held faucet was shipped with the incorrect part....not apparent until the actual install was started. Had to go online to find a parts list to identify the problem.

The styling of this unit is really sleek, looks sharp in my corner-fit garden tub. Having the hand-held shower head right there in the tub is genius design by Delta. I can wash my hair or spray myself off...or it makes cleaning the tub much easier as well.

Can I use the T4738 faucet without the shower head?

I purchased the Delta T4738 Lahara Roman Tub faucet with shower head. Turns out I'm not going to be able to use the shower head with my existing valve. Can I use this faucet without installing the shower head? Thanks.

Hi Keith, Thank you for your question. You will not be able to use the T4738 trim on your old valve if it was not already plumbed for the hand shower. The spout connections are different. You will want to get the model T2738 which does not come with the hand shower instead. Thanks, Dave

Use on a corner tub not a deck?

Can this be used on the corner whirlpool tub by kohler number K-1160-HL? The tub has an integral apron and will not need a tiled in deck.

Hi konchita, Thank you for your question. The hand shower can be positioned anywhere in relation to the spout and valves, but with a maximum distance of 18 inches from the spout. The valves must be 8 - 16" on center.
