Great Thermostatic ValveWe had our contractor put this valve in the shower in our recent master suite addition. It has a nice polished look and good feel to it. It seems like it is made well and it is nice to be able to leave it on your temperature selection for your next shower.

Beautiful and functionalWe have 2 in our master shower, one to control the hand shower and one to control the rain shower head. Both work well and the separate controls for water temp and flow are well designed.

We buy Delta because of the customer service. We have bought and lived in several homes. Ten years ago we bought a home which required renovation and an addition. At that time we bought our first Delta faucets for our kitchen and main bath. We were unaware of the quality of the customer service. After several years of service we noticed our shower was leaking. We called Delta explained what was happening and the individual on the phone knew exactly what we needed and sent it immediately no questions asked. Once we received the parts we were struggling with the repair. So, we called Delta again and a very nice gentleman referred us to an applicable video that showed exactly how to perform this repair. We have had an occasional issue and have received the identical service. At that point whenever any of our other plumbing fixtures were having issues we did not even try to repair them. We threw them out and replaced them with Delta products. We could not be more pleased with Delta.

Seems to be well engineeredSeems to be well engineered, high quality, and works as expected. We used all Delta fixtures and accessories in a recent shower remodel and all seem to be well engineered, and good quality. Delta seems to have put more thought into the design of their products than most manufacturers these days. We would purchase again, but dont think there would ever be a need, unless we just get tired of the looks of the fixtures.
how far from finished wall is it to the furthest point of trim assembly in inches
model number is T17T097-PN, width is 7",
using universal high flow rough model R10000-UNWSHF
Asked by: Terry
Hi Terry, Thank you for your question!
The exact distance from the finish wall out to the end of the temperature dial depends on how the valve is mounted but is approximately a little over 5".

The temperature control is set too low - not warm enough. How do I adjust it? There are no visible screws. It looks like the front cover plate needs to be popped or pried off, but I'm afraid to force it. Please advise.
Asked by: Dean
Hi, Dean!
Thank you for your question. There is a rotational limit stop that can be adjusted for hotter water. To do this, first, you may want to shut off the water supply to the shower or room first if possible. Next you will need to remove the temperature control cover then unscrew the phillips head screw on the gray temperature knob. Now you will see the Rotational Limit Stop which resembles a gear. Remove this part, and in order to allow more hot water, you will need to rotate it counterclockwise just a few settings as each tooth represents 4-6 degrees, and insert it back into the handle base. After this you may test the water. Keep in mind, it is best to only adjust this gradually to avoid potentially scalding temperatures. Once you have reached the desired maximum hottest temperature, you may put the handles back on.
Best Regards,
Rosanna

I am purchasing a R10000 UNBXT, T17T097, RP52382, RP61058, R11000, T11997, 50102, 50560, 51308 and H597.
What else do I need to have a complete shower with Rain head, body sprays and handheld shower? Does the T17T097 come with a regular shower head or do I need to purchase that separately?
Asked by: tjumsw
I believe it is for my diverter trim...t11997...says it doesn't come with the diverter trim.

I have a 17T in a shower. The small arm that controls the temp. will only turn to the mid point of the cold to hot range. As a result, I must wait a long time for the shower water to get warm enough to enter the shower. Is there a way to adjust this.
Asked by: Richard
Thank you for your question, Richard! The maximum temperature can be set by adjusting the Temperature Limit Stop. Please refer to page 7 of the Installation Instructions for help with this.

I’ve moved the temp handle as far over as possible and still get warm water, not hot. The others in my house work fine. Any other options to get hot water?
Asked by: Jwilli
Thank you for your question, Jwilli! This model includes an adjustable cartridge that allows you to limit the temperature allowance. Information on accessing and adjusting this cartridge can be found in the Maintenance and Installation manual below on page 7, step 4.

When I installed this there is play in the water volume control as if the sleeve has gone too far in. Is this sleeve not pushed all the way in and if not does the o ring provide enough friction to keep it out and remove the play. Thank you
Asked by: Doug
Thank you for your question, Doug! The sleeve is only intended to cover the valve for aesthetics. If the handle seems loose, please try tightening the set screw. If you have any further questions, please feel free to call us at 1-800-345-3358 or email customerservice@deltafaucet.com. We’d be happy to help!

I'm looking at the T17097 & the T17T097, and trying to decide which model would best suit my needs....
What is the differences between a "Dual-Function Pressure Balance Cartridge" and a "Dual-Function Thermostatic Cartridge", and do they both perform the same functions?
Asked by: Norm
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # T17097 uses a dual function pressure balance cartridge. The temperature is maintained within 3 degrees using a balance of pressure between the hot and cold water. The temperature can vary between seasons due to the water temperature coming into the house.
Delta Faucet model # T17T097 consisitently monitors the tempature by measureing and automatically adjusting the water mix. You can set the temperature of the water and leave it there.

I would like to know if the TempAssure in the Cassidy trim can come with the French curve handle (H798PN)
Asked by: Karen
Hi Karen, Thank you for your question. Unfortunately due to the fact that the 17T series offers both temperature and volume control the H798PN handle will not work with the T17T297-PN or T17T497-PN faucets. The handle is only compatible with the T14 series faucets.
Thanks,
Dave
