Can I use the T4738 faucet without the shower head?

I purchased the Delta T4738 Lahara Roman Tub faucet with shower head. Turns out I'm not going to be able to use the shower head with my existing valve. Can I use this faucet without installing the shower head? Thanks.

Hi Keith, Thank you for your question. You will not be able to use the T4738 trim on your old valve if it was not already plumbed for the hand shower. The spout connections are different. You will want to get the model T2738 which does not come with the hand shower instead. Thanks, Dave

Use on a corner tub not a deck?

Can this be used on the corner whirlpool tub by kohler number K-1160-HL? The tub has an integral apron and will not need a tiled in deck.

How long (inches) does the Hand Shower extend (reach?

Hi, Charles! Thank you for your question. The Delta T4738-SS Roman Tub Hand Shower measures 9.05" in length from the head of the wand to the threaded female portion of the wand. However, the hose assembly measures 59". Best Regards, Rosanna

My house came with T2738 (no handshower). What are the steps/parts to get the handshower?

Hi, the photo does not show a way to divert water from the tub filler to the hand shower. How do you switch between the two?

Thank you for your question, betht! The Lahara Roman Tub trim, model T4738-SS, will divert water to the hand shower by using the lift rod on the top of the spout. Unlike a lavatory faucet lift rod, this part will not control a drain assembly but instead acts as a diverter control inside the spout. Best regards, Edward

Hello. I am installing 1 1/4” quartz on the tub deck for our installation. I’ve read the directions and think the thick tile installation method will be the best. What’s the max dimension the valves can extend above the quartz??

can this model be installed with shower head near the middle?

Hi konchita, Thank you for your question. The hand shower can be positioned anywhere in relation to the spout and valves, but with a maximum distance of 18 inches from the spout. The valves must be 8 - 16" on center.
