Rated 3 out of 5 by from Countertop Seal Needs Improvement Delta needs to improve this right away. I am a just retired mechanical engineer from Fortune 500 company. Needs a rubber seal to seal underside from countertop. You will have to improvise one and then seal exterior with small bead of silicone caulk. Otherwise you end up with drops of water inside the sink cabinet

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great! Had our kitchen remodeled and used this faucet for our under counter water filtration system. It works like a charm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy, clean install Last faucet had me standing on my head, fitting a custom made washer to lock it in place .... never more. Removed old faucet, dropped new one into place, installed washer & locking nut finger tight. Then slipped the supplied wrench over the tubing and secured the locking nut. Water connection was just as quick. Cut off the compression fitting and slipped on a quick connect coupling ... done ...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Performer I bought this faucet to replace the plastic one that came with my reverse osmosis (R/O) system. This Delta faucet has a solid feel and is easy to keep clean. Installation was quick and easy once I snipped off the factory supplied connector from the end of the tubing supply to modify the connection to my R/O system.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great I've installed many RO faucets and had problems with the ones with the simple flip mechanisms. This one has a handle that works like a regular faucet which works much better and doesn't leak, or drip.

Q&A

Can this faucet be reversed to have the handle on the left

Can you reverse this faucet to have the handle on the left? If so will you be able to switch the direction of travel so it still rotates forward.
Asked by: J
Hi J, Thank you for your question. The spout on the model 1977-AR-DST rotates a full 360 degrees. The faucet can be installed with the handle of the left side but the handle will work in the opposite direction. Thanks Dave

What is the difference Artic Stainless and just stainless

Asked by: Bull
Hello Bull, Thank you for your question! Over the years, the color of stainless steel used on appliances and sinks has migrated from warmer tones, with more red in the color spectrum, to lighter tones where blue is more predominant. Arctic Stainless features cooler metallic tones, following a trend seen throughout the kitchen. While it is not a PVD or Brilliance® finish, all finishes are covered under our Lifetime Warranty and should not discolor under normal use. Best regards, Tanya

We love our faucet!! Problem is our kitchen is right next to our living room and the air gap is so loud sucking air all the time. Do we really need air gap for the RO system?

Asked by: Jerry
Thank you for your question, Jerry! An air gap is an anti-siphon device to prevent waste water from connecting to the clean water supply. Therefore when something like a reverse osmosis water filtration system is recharging, the air gap will draw air and make a hissing sound. Most RO systems recommend the use of one so we advise checking for deposits building up at the drain lines that could be causing the whistle. Additionally, you may also want to check the tube for any cracks or splits between the air gap and the drain supply. Best regards, Edward

under cabinet water filtration

I was going to buy this faucet for just a filtered water dispensor for my bar, but it doesn't come with any under counter filters like some others do. What water filtration systems are compatible?
Asked by: ray
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model 1977-AR-DST is compatible with most water filtration systems, including the reverse osmosis systems. The only thing to check when purchasing a water filtration system is to make sure the fittings are compatible.

Confused about water filtration

I have a Delta faucet w/ a light indicator w/ the Pur water filatration system under my sink. The light indicator broke and my current unit is now discontinued. The Delta CS Rep said I don't need a water filtration system w/ this new unit b/c it's in the actual unit. I'm confused. How is the water filtered? Do I actually need a system under my sink? If yes, what type of system is compatible? Without a light indicator on the faucet, how do I know when to change a filter?
Asked by: mmlinder
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 1977-AR-DST is a cold water only faucet. We are sorry but whomever you spoke to about this faucet was incorrect. It does not filter the water. It will need a fitration system hooked up to it if you would like filtered water. Any filtration system will work including reverse osmosis systems. The system will have its own mechanism for telling you when the filter needs to be changed.
