Rated 1 out of 5 by from This faucet sucks! The touch works but also stops the water without touching it. Tried the setting that should turn off the touch capability but it doesn’t work. I would never buy one of these again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not perfect, but great anyway This faucet is described this way: "simply place your hand near the faucet, tap the faucet surface, or use standard handle activation." The part about placing your hand near the faucet is not reliable, but the tap feature is great and overall we like this faucet a lot.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Handle Falls Off and the Faucet Drips I had this faucet installed about Feb 2021. However, about 6 months ago, the handle started to keep falling off because the set screw won't stay secure. Also, the faucet drips about 2 cups of water every day. I live in a drought state, so this is very serious. I researched this and find that you must take the handle assembly apart and replace a cartridge inside of it instead of simply replacing a washer! It's past the warranty period, of course, so I'm stuck with it. I'm not going buy the cartridge and then have to pay a plumber to install a new cartridge every 5 years. This is unacceptable. So I'm just living with this situation and collecting the water it drips each day and pouring it in my garden. But I'm not happy with this situation.

Does the handle move back for hot water and down for cold water? Where is the off position?

Asked by: Cher
Hi, Cher! Thank you for your question. Pulling the Delta 9113-DST Faucet handle out and away from the faucet is the cold position. Pulling the handle forward is the hot position. Closing the handle back to the top, closest to the body of the faucet is the off position. Best Regards, Rosanna

Smaller bar / prep or reverse osmosis designer faucet in the Essa line?

We have the Essa Single Handle Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet with Touch2O Technology (9113T-AR-DST) in our kitchen and ordered the matching Essa Single Handle Pull-down Bar/Prep Faucet (9913-AR-DST) - which arrived today and appears to be the same size as the kitchen faucet - is it supposed to be? We assumed the Bar/Prep faucet would be significantly smaller. If it is the same size as the kitchen faucet do you make a smaller bar / prep or reverse osmosis designer faucet in the Essa line or have a recommendation for something that would match?
Asked by: djb
Hi Djb, Thank you for your question! The bar version of the Essa should be smaller than the kitchen version. The 9113T- Spout length is 9-1/4". The spout height is 15-3/4 and the spout height from the deck the the aerator is 8-5/8". On the bar version the 9913 Spout length is 6-5" The spout height is 14" and the spout height deck to aerator is 7-5/8". There is nothing smaller than the bar version for the Essa collection. Are the hot and cold control positions reversed on this product?  That is, hot is when the handle is pulled forward, and cold is when the handle is pushed back.

Asked by: emarie
Thank you for your question, emarie! The Delta 9113-DST Faucet handle will pull outwards or away from the faucet body providing cold water. Rotating the handle forwards, towards the user, will provide hot water. If the supply lines are reversed, this operation will work oppositely. Best regards, Edward

How to choose between standard and bar/prep sizes?

Hi, I am renovating a kitchen and putting in two sinks, one of which will be a Franke TCX110-18 in a kitchen island. I am trying to decide which faucet will be a better fit for this sink, the 9113-DST (standard) or the 9913-DST (bar/prep). Can you please advise which version of the faucet would be suitable for this sink? The sink's inner dimensions are 16x18" so I am wondering if the bar/prep faucet might be too small. Do you have any guidelines on how to choose between the standard and bar/prep faucets?
Asked by: gosko
Dear Gosko, Thank you for your inquiry! The Delta Essa Pull-Down Kitchen and Bar/Prep faucets will both work for your faucet install. It would be your own personal preference of the size you would need for the install. Please see below, the Technical Specification document for both faucets for further assistance. https://media.deltafaucet.com/SpecSheet/DSP-K-9113-DST%20Rev%20A.pdf Best regards, Tanya

Is the only difference between the Essa Single Handle Bar/Prep faucet and the larger kitchen version size?

Does the Bar/prep version have hot and cold water? I'd like to use this as my kitchen sink faucet ( small sink in an efficiency apartment).
Asked by: Summer 1
Dear Summer1, Thank you for your question. Yes, the difference between the Delta Essa kitchen and bar/prep faucets is the height and reach of the spout assemblies. The Bar/Prep 9913-AR-DST faucet is smaller then the kitchen 9113-AR-DST faucet. https://media.deltafaucet.com/SpecSheet/DSP-K-9113-DST%20Rev%20A.pdf Best regards, Tanya

If you're needing to clean the sprayer head, you can remove the sprayer head entirely from the hose and soak the whole sprayer head in a solution of 50 percent white vinegar and 50 percent water mix. I just received my black delta essa pull down kitchen faucet, and i have noticed that the pull down nozzle head of the faucet is made of plastic. is there a specific reason for this?

Asked by: shana
Hi, shana! Thank you for your question. Our Delta kitchen sprayer assemblies are made of plastic due to safety issues so as hot water goes through metal, we recommend to not touch the metal as it may scald skin. Please know that all of our products undergo rigorous tests to ensure long-lasting use and are made with high-grade materials. What is the degree/angle of the sprayer? It’s not listed on spec drawing pdf. The stream comes out at a pretty sharp angle projecting water about 2 inches forward by the time it hits the bottom of the sink. Is there a way to adjust more straight?

Asked by: Jeremy
Hi, Jeremy! Thank you for your question. The Delta 9113-DST has an approximate angle of 18.3 degrees from the center of the spout to the aerator on the sprayer. There is no adjustment to change the degree of spray. Please make sure to check the level of the basin/countertop is straight. Essa 9113 Please actually read my previous question. Can the action of the valve be rotated on not?

Asked by: Arthur
Hi, Arthur! Thank you for your question. We recommend installing this faucet with the handle on the right. You may install the Delta 9113-DST with the handle on the front or left side, but the temperature adjustment will be opposite of the standard operation for single handle faucets. You could compensate for this by swapping the hot and cold supply lines under the sink. However, the red/blue button on the handle will no longer indicate the correct temperature.
