Not perfect, but great anyway
This faucet is described this way: "simply place your hand near the faucet, tap the faucet surface, or use standard handle activation." The part about placing your hand near the faucet is not reliable, but the tap feature is great and overall we like this faucet a lot.

Handle Falls Off and the Faucet Drips
I had this faucet installed about Feb 2021. However, about 6 months ago, the handle started to keep falling off because the set screw won't stay secure. Also, the faucet drips about 2 cups of water every day. I live in a drought state, so this is very serious. I researched this and find that you must take the handle assembly apart and replace a cartridge inside of it instead of simply replacing a washer! It's past the warranty period, of course, so I'm stuck with it. I'm not going buy the cartridge and then have to pay a plumber to install a new cartridge every 5 years. This is unacceptable. So I'm just living with this situation and collecting the water it drips each day and pouring it in my garden. But I'm not happy with this situation.

Great kitchen faucet
I now have 3 of these units in our main kitchen, (sink and island sink), and in-law suite kitchen. They are reliable, easy to install and look great. I am very happy with this product, which has replaced other, more expensive brands.

Attractive faucet but with some concerns
Bought this faucet to go with our new Blanco Diamond White sink. Attractive faucet with excellent spout reach. Functionally it works very well but I am surprised the water volume is not a bit more robust. Also, I am surprised that to make the hose connection between the supply and faucet requires an extra (supplied) retainer clip rather than having secure connections at the onset. I've never seen this before and in reviews I have read elsewhere, say the retainer clip can pop off on its own which is very concerning. I hope that does not happen. Finally, the installation instructions (and I have seen many in my lifetime) could have been way better.

Can the Essa bar prep faucet be used as a cold water faucet only connected to an under sink water filter? The water filter is not an RO type.
Thank you for your question, jomo! This bar prep faucet is not recommended to be used with a filtered system. We would recommend a beverage faucet as they have only one supply line and are designed to be a cold water dispenser only. These models are designed to compliment various collections and can be used with filtered or Reverse Osmosis machines.

Does this faucet swivel? It will be installed between two sinks and I don't like to use the pull down to fill a sink. I like to move it between the two sinks without the pull down

Installing Delta faucet 9113-DST. There's a round plastic part in box (gasket?) that instructions/parts list doesn't mention. What is this? Also, does it matter which direction I orient the mounting plate or can it go either way?

Thank you for your question. The round plastic part is a gasket that Delta 9113-DST Faucet. This gasket goes inside of the base of your faucet. The round hole should go around the mounting shank, and the hoses should go through the other hole.
The mounting hardware should only be able to be oriented one direction.

Can the escutcheon plate be modified for a two or one hole installation?
The escutcheon plate appears to be designed for three holes, since it has two threaded cylinders that appear to be designed to fill the two additional holes adjacent to the main faucet hole. In my installation, I need to cover one additional hole that is currently used for a soap dispenser. Can the escutcheon plate be modified for such an installation?

I think my Essa faucet has the hot and cold reversed. If the faucet is pulled all the way forward - toward the blue, but with the red showing - should that be hot or cold? If pushed all the way back, to red, but with blue showing, should that be cold?

Thank you for your question. The Delta 9113-DST Faucet handle does rotate out, and away from the faucet body, for on and cold water. Rotate the handle forwards, towards the user, for hot water. If the supply lines are reversed, this will be opposite.

Thank you for your question. The Delta Essa kitchen 9113-AR-DST doesn't have a removable aerator. You would soak the whole wand in a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and tap water for about 30 to 45 minutes to loosen and flush out any debris or particles.

Whats the difference between a kitchen faucet and a prep faucet??

the difference between the Delta Essa kitchen and bar/prep faucets is the height and reach of the spout assemblies. The Bar/Prep 9913-DST faucet is smaller in size than the kitchen 9113-DST standard kitchen faucet.

Thank you for your question. The difference between the Delta 9913-AR-DST and the 9913-DST faucets is the finish. The 9913-AR-DST features the Arctic Stainless finish while the 9913-DST features the Chrome finish.

Have just installed this faucet and it is putting out about a quart a minute. I have checked the screen in the nozzle and it appear totally clean. Other faucets in the house work just fine with flow several times the new faucet. What can I do?

Thank you for your inquiry! Most issues with low flow, such as yours, are due to some kind of debris entering the faucet from your water line, which can cause noises as the debris moves, or cause low or sporadic flow as the water continues to move the debris around. We would advise flushing the valve body and Innoflex PEX lines of the Delta Essa Pull-Down Bar/Prep 9913-DST faucet.
To flush out the valve body, so that these parts do last as long as possible, please first turn off the water supply to the faucet. Gather an adjustable wrench, some towels and a bucket.
Disconnect the hot side Innoflex line. Move the handle to the full on position, middle temp.
Point the hot side Innoflex line into a bucket. Turn on the cold supply valve full.
Let a gallon or two flow into the bucket. Shut off cold supply.
Check bucket for debris. If no debris, empty bucket and run one more time.
Move handle to off position.
Reattach hot side line. Turn on both water supply valves.

This is a metal product, not plastic. I belive it is stainless steel. I have the artic stainless steel finish. Not sure about other finishes.

Does this faucet have poly tubes for hot and cold water supply? My plumber said the faucet should have braided flexible hot and cold supplies not poly supplies. So before I return this faucet, can you please tell me if they are poly tubes. Thank you.

stainless steel sink installation
To install this on a stainless steel sink (a very thin deck) using the escutcheon, do I need the RP37490 thin deck aid or can it be installed without it?

Does the handle move back for hot water and down for cold water? Where is the off position?

Smaller bar / prep or reverse osmosis designer faucet in the Essa line?
We have the Essa Single Handle Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet with Touch2O Technology (9113T-AR-DST) in our kitchen and ordered the matching Essa Single Handle Pull-down Bar/Prep Faucet (9913-AR-DST) - which arrived today and appears to be the same size as the kitchen faucet - is it supposed to be?
We assumed the Bar/Prep faucet would be significantly smaller.
If it is the same size as the kitchen faucet do you make a smaller bar / prep or reverse osmosis designer faucet in the Essa line or have a recommendation for something that would match?

The bar version of the Essa should be smaller than the kitchen version. The 9113T- Spout length is 9-1/4". The spout height is 15-3/4 and the spout height from the deck the the aerator is 8-5/8". On the bar version the 9913 Spout length is 6-5" The spout height is 14" and the spout height deck to aerator is 7-5/8". There is nothing smaller than the bar version for the Essa collection.
