Not perfect, but great anyway
This faucet is described this way: "simply place your hand near the faucet, tap the faucet surface, or use standard handle activation." The part about placing your hand near the faucet is not reliable, but the tap feature is great and overall we like this faucet a lot.

Handle Falls Off and the Faucet Drips
I had this faucet installed about Feb 2021. However, about 6 months ago, the handle started to keep falling off because the set screw won't stay secure. Also, the faucet drips about 2 cups of water every day. I live in a drought state, so this is very serious. I researched this and find that you must take the handle assembly apart and replace a cartridge inside of it instead of simply replacing a washer! It's past the warranty period, of course, so I'm stuck with it. I'm not going buy the cartridge and then have to pay a plumber to install a new cartridge every 5 years. This is unacceptable. So I'm just living with this situation and collecting the water it drips each day and pouring it in my garden. But I'm not happy with this situation.

Great kitchen faucet
I now have 3 of these units in our main kitchen, (sink and island sink), and in-law suite kitchen. They are reliable, easy to install and look great. I am very happy with this product, which has replaced other, more expensive brands.

Attractive faucet but with some concerns
Bought this faucet to go with our new Blanco Diamond White sink. Attractive faucet with excellent spout reach. Functionally it works very well but I am surprised the water volume is not a bit more robust. Also, I am surprised that to make the hose connection between the supply and faucet requires an extra (supplied) retainer clip rather than having secure connections at the onset. I've never seen this before and in reviews I have read elsewhere, say the retainer clip can pop off on its own which is very concerning. I hope that does not happen. Finally, the installation instructions (and I have seen many in my lifetime) could have been way better.

I love My Delta 9113-DST Pull Down Kitchen Faucet. It is modern, stylish and heavy duty. I love the height of the faucet and the simplicity of use. I love the range for the the pull handle. I can fill a pot or pitcher without placing them in the sink. It cleans very well. I am pleased with my purchase.

What determines the direction of hot and cold waters

The water flow is determined by the cartridge. When the handle is in the middle you will get a mix of both hot and cold water and as the handle is moved backward, the cartridge allows only cold water in whereas moving the handle forward, or towards you, only hot water is used.

I want to install this faucet under my wall cabinets that have an 18" clearance from top of counter top to bottom of wall cabinet. Since faucet is just under 16", will I really be able to maneuver this faucet or will it be too tall for the space?

Thank you for your question. The Delta Essa Kitchen Pull-Down 9113-AR-DST faucet has a total height of 15 3/4" (400 mm) and a requires a minimum 1 1/2" (38 mm) clearance to the back splash. This should work for an 18" installation.

Does the spray have the option to stop the flow of water?
I'd like to be able to turn on the water flow, then remove the sprayer wand and stop the flow of water when my pot is full if I'm too far to reach the turn off handle. Does the sprayer have that option, or do any of the other models that are similar in design?

None of our kitchen faucets have a pause feature. Only the on/off handle will stop the water from flow out of the faucet.

Will the sprayer stay on without having to hold the button down
I'm considering your bar/prep faucet and a similar one by Moen. On the Moen faucet it apparently requires the button to be held or pressed constantly to keep the sprayer on. I prefer to be able to press the button once and keep the sprayer going and then press it again to return to a stream. How does yours work?

I am looking for a cold filtered water faucet to put along side my main sink cold/hot water faucet. Would the Essa bar/prep faucet be a good choice for this. I would like the faucet to match the Essa Single Handle Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet.
Thank you for your question, jomo! The Essa Bar Prep faucet would work as a matching cold or hot water faucet but is not recommended to be used with a filtered system. We do offer beverage faucets that have only one supply line and are designed to be a cold water dispenser only. Although there is not an "Essa" beverage faucet, they are designed to compliment various styles and collections.

What is the difference between the 9913-DST and 9913-AR-DST models?

Is there a way to increase hot water temperature on the Essa series mixing valve? The kitchen sink water doesnt get hot enough although all other faucets in the house do.

Thank you for your question! The Delta Essa Pull-Down Kitchen 9113-DST faucet is not designed with a temperature adjustment on the cartridge assembly for increasing or decreasing the hot or cold water. You may want to flush the hot water supply line and/or supply valve.

Thank you for your question. The Delta 9913T-DST Bar / Prep Faucet with Touch2O® Technology batteries can be replaced by removing the top lid off of the battery pack, under the sink. Once the lid is off of the battery pack, the battery case holder can be pulled straight out from the pack. Replace batteries as needed. This is shown on page 8, on the Maintenance and Installation Guide, here:

My father’s pull up, pull down kitchen faucet hose has become covered in rust. He says there is no leak and he can’t figure it out. Would a hose replacement be all that I would need to fix this issue? I am not aware of the age of the faucet.

Are all the components of this faucet metal? Our past faucets have *looked* metal online, but end up to be plastic made to have a metal finish. So, I would like to know if both the body/spout/neck portion AND the sprayer head are actual metal. Thank you!

Not all parts of the faucet are metal. Nonmetallic parts are used to ensure a long-lasting, high-quality product. The pull-down spray wand is made of plastic or a plastic mixture. Metal is heavier, susceptible to corrosion, and retains heat.

I purchased the 9113-BL-DST today and found that the soap dispenser and its kit were missing. I know the box wasn't tampered with at the supply house because the Delta tape was still on the sides. Is there any way I could have them sent to me for free?

We have a Model 9113-BL-DST. Is there a way to make the faucet head spray mode wider and not so concentrated. If this can be done it may require a different head or head component, if so, I'd like to know if this is even an option.
