Wouldn't think of getting anything else.
This is the second custom home I had built for me. Started with Moen in the house built in 2004. When the faucet broke, it was replaced with the Delta Essa and I love it. The new custom home that we just moved into has 2 of these faucets: one in the kitchen and one in the laundry room The builder was pushing Kohler but I put my foot down and insisted on the faucet(s) that I knew I loved. I'm very happy that I won that argument.

Odd angle
I just had this faucet installed a few days ago. It looks beautiful and has strong water pressure. I like that it has two simple options: spray or stream. The faucet head stays locked in place well. My problem is with the angle of the water flow. I have a decent size sink—16 inches front to back, much wider left to right—and yet because the water shoots forward so far, it almost hits the front edge of my sink when it’s turned on all the way. I’m finding it awkward to wash dishes. I’m disappointed, since I paid money to have this faucet installed. I’m really trying to like it, but it doesn’t feel very functional.

Great quality faucet, best we’ve ever had!
I installed this faucet last evening myself (female over 60!). Easy except for small area under sink to move around. Need 2nd person to hold faucet while screwing nuts under sink. I love it! The water pressure is much higher, sprayer has regular and spray feature, and I eliminated old separate cheap sprayer, covered with matching sink hole cap. Solid, and looks really nice with brushed finish.

GReat faucet - but
Faucet is great, no complaints about the product and quality and looks. I have amajor complaint about the universal instructions. Had to make a trip back to the Plumbing supply house I bought it at. There were some specifics that caused me to no fully understand what to do. When putting things away at the end and sorting what was left, I had this blue clip and didn't know what is was for. Looked in the instructions then and again this morning, nothing in the instructions about it, even on the youtube video except for one of the comments stated it was to hold the sprayer hose togther, so they would not slip apart and cause water to spray all over the place. Don't cut corners big corporation, be nice to your customers.

I LOVE my new faucet. I would have given it 5 stars, but we had to end up hiring someone to install it, because my husband had troubles with the directions. He couldn't figure out what one of the pieces was for. I love how it works washing dishes, fruits and veggies, my sink etc. The reason we bought it in the first place, was because I wanted a taller faucet to get things under when I was washing things. My separate spray nozzle was also leaking, so we just decided to go with this faucet. I wish I would have replaced my old faucet years ago. You will not regret purchasing this faucet.

Not My Grandmother's Delta Faucet!
I purchased this faucet a couple of months ago. I'm so happy with it! When looking to buy a new faucet I started with the brand I had at the time - Kohler. I didn't look at Delta when I made that purchase because it was my "grandmother's" faucet. How could Delta compare to Kohler? Right? Wrong! After looking at and comparing the two amongst others as well, I chose Delta for a few reasons. The look, the price point, solid feel of it and the reviews it received. I am very happy with my Delta kitchen faucet! It's modern, sleek look is perfect with my new sink & countertop! It performs better than I expected! You will press a small button on the connector between the hose and wand which will then allow you to turn the wand counterclockwise until it fully unthreads from the hose.

What is the diameter of the base? What is the diameter of the spout tube?

(61 mm). The diameter of the spout tube is 1.18" (29.972 mm).

The base is loose on the marble countertop, causing the handle to rotate when used. What wrench tool can I use to tighten it? I will have to reach it from underneath the sink. I do not have the tightening tool that came with it. Can I use sealant?

The RP60924 wrench that was included with your model is recommended however an adjustable wrench will also work to tighten the mount nut and bracket below the counter. We do not recommend applying sealant as this could make future repairs difficult. Please contact us directly if you have questions or need further assistance.

hot/cold? and direction
Does this bar faucet dispense hot and cold water? Does the lever only go in one direction or does pulling forward give hot water and pushing backwards give cold water ?

Thank you for your question, Linda! This faucet dispenses hot and cold water. The handle operates by tilting away from the faucet to turn on. The vertical position gives cold water and rotating the handle forward provides hot.

Does this bar faucet swivel side to side in case you need to push it out of the way to make more room in your sink for a taller item? Also do you have to keep the button pressed down in order to keep it on a different spray mode?

Thank you for your question. The Delta 9913-DST faucet spout rotates 360˚. The toggle button on the sprayer does not need to be kept pressed down. The button will stay pressed down after the button is released.

Can the Essa bar prep faucet be used as a cold water faucet only connected to an under sink water filter? The water filter is not an RO type.
Thank you for your question, jomo! This bar prep faucet is not recommended to be used with a filtered system. We would recommend a beverage faucet as they have only one supply line and are designed to be a cold water dispenser only. These models are designed to compliment various collections and can be used with filtered or Reverse Osmosis machines.

Whats the difference between a kitchen faucet and a prep faucet??

the difference between the Delta Essa kitchen and bar/prep faucets is the height and reach of the spout assemblies. The Bar/Prep 9913-DST faucet is smaller in size than the kitchen 9113-DST standard kitchen faucet.

Have just installed this faucet and it is putting out about a quart a minute. I have checked the screen in the nozzle and it appear totally clean. Other faucets in the house work just fine with flow several times the new faucet. What can I do?

Thank you for your inquiry! Most issues with low flow, such as yours, are due to some kind of debris entering the faucet from your water line, which can cause noises as the debris moves, or cause low or sporadic flow as the water continues to move the debris around. We would advise flushing the valve body and Innoflex PEX lines of the Delta Essa Pull-Down Bar/Prep 9913-DST faucet.
To flush out the valve body, so that these parts do last as long as possible, please first turn off the water supply to the faucet. Gather an adjustable wrench, some towels and a bucket.
Disconnect the hot side Innoflex line. Move the handle to the full on position, middle temp.
Point the hot side Innoflex line into a bucket. Turn on the cold supply valve full.
Let a gallon or two flow into the bucket. Shut off cold supply.
Check bucket for debris. If no debris, empty bucket and run one more time.
Move handle to off position.
Reattach hot side line. Turn on both water supply valves.
