Unhappy with the Essa Kitchen faucet
We have lived in our new home less than two years and our Essa faucet is dripping out the wand and also under the sink, this unit is to be good for 500,000 cycles and I am sure we have not reached that level of use.

What a dirrerence
When picking out fixtures for our kitchen remodel I really wanted to stay with the traditional style faucet. Since they are not as available as this style we decided to go with it. We love it! We are great cooks and handle a lot of raw food. So, the lever handle is great. You can push it with the side of your arm then you are not contaminating the handle with whatever raw product is on your hands. It reminds me of a hospital sink. Thanks for a outstanding product.

Beware: not for single basin sinks
I learned the hard way that this faucet is for double sinks only. On a single basin sink, the reach is too far forward (doesn’t point directly down the drain) and the entire mid-section of your body gets drenched when you wash dishes. Since I already invested in the product and installation, I purchased a plastic apron to keep me dry, but wanted to warn others.

Only Four stars because just installed
So far, this is fabulous:magnet attracts and holds the sprayer perfectly.; knob allows you keep a preset temperature or quickly change it. My sink is only 9" deep, but so far not had a problem with up-splash. Worried about a review showing angle of water hitting front wall of sink, so carefully measured my 30"wide double basin sink.The stream hits just in front of my drains, which are set close to the back to provide more storage underneath. For smaller sinks, may be a problem.

Awesome faucet!
We bought this about a month ago during our kitchen remodel. Love the look, fit and finish. Does take some getting used to as it has so much pressure. We have to get used to turning it on at a lower stream. Also, pulling it out to turn on, not sliding it up and down towards hot and cold. Guess you could say it has a learning curve.

Bought in july 2018 and it worked great for 5 months..Now I havr had a plumber here once and expecting them back this week. First issue water pressure problems after we had turned the water off while away. Now the touch does not work. Makes a funny noise. On the phone waiting for Delta to answer,,Do not recommend

Can't clean it out
I bought this faucet in July, since then the pressure has been dropping, obviously it needs cleaned out. Fine debris gets in, it happens, Delta recommends soaking the sprayer head in 50/50 solution of white Vinegar and water for an hour. Apparently no way to dissemble and clean it.

Solid, Functional, Smart Looking
We had always bought our kitchen faucets from home improvement stores, but this time purchased through a kitchen and bathroom showroom for our remodel. We quickly found out there is a difference in quality of faucets between the big box stores and a reputable dealer. Our professional Delta faucet is great! The spray function stays on regardless of water pressure, the pull-down returns easily and snugly into its fitting, and the water flow is greater (gpm) than other faucets we'd purchased. The spray is powerful, requiring less time and water use to complete tasks. We are extremely happy with the purchase!

Excellent kitchen faucet -Essa
I love the features on this faucet, I bought the standard Delta Essa (not the touchless) it works as advertised & is great in my kitchen. It sprays well (does not splash out of sink as others may had said) but maybe that is do to positioning of the faucet. We have Delta faucets in the entire house (kitchen & bath) they all have been flawless.

Powerful spray
Bought this in Dec 2019 for my new Stainless sink / kitchen remodel. Wanted something to match my new sink and easy to use. I had a Grohe for the last 20 years, but they are not as prevalent, and this is just as nice. I liked the idea of the "touch" model, but didn't want extra wires hanging down underneath, so this is the one I picked...happy with it. Easy to install, no extra parts after, so I know I did it correctly.

Mislabled (by color ring) supply lines
While installing this as a replacement faucet we need to cut the supply lines to terminate them to the proper length. We were careful to exactly mark hot and cold per the red and blue rings on the compression nut. When we tried the faucet for the first time the handle control now does not match the hot and cold colors. We can't just switch the supply line feeds due to the different lengths as one would be too short. I guess we are going to have to live with this and explain to every one else why when these use our new Delta faucet the temp control is opposite of the handle labeling. Very disappointing.

You will press a small button on the connector between the hose and wand which will then allow you to turn the wand counterclockwise until it fully unthreads from the hose.

What is the diameter of the base? What is the diameter of the spout tube?

(61 mm). The diameter of the spout tube is 1.18" (29.972 mm).

The base is loose on the marble countertop, causing the handle to rotate when used. What wrench tool can I use to tighten it? I will have to reach it from underneath the sink. I do not have the tightening tool that came with it. Can I use sealant?

The RP60924 wrench that was included with your model is recommended however an adjustable wrench will also work to tighten the mount nut and bracket below the counter. We do not recommend applying sealant as this could make future repairs difficult. Please contact us directly if you have questions or need further assistance.

hot/cold? and direction
Does this bar faucet dispense hot and cold water? Does the lever only go in one direction or does pulling forward give hot water and pushing backwards give cold water ?

Thank you for your question, Linda! This faucet dispenses hot and cold water. The handle operates by tilting away from the faucet to turn on. The vertical position gives cold water and rotating the handle forward provides hot.

Does this bar faucet swivel side to side in case you need to push it out of the way to make more room in your sink for a taller item? Also do you have to keep the button pressed down in order to keep it on a different spray mode?

Thank you for your question. The Delta 9913-DST faucet spout rotates 360˚. The toggle button on the sprayer does not need to be kept pressed down. The button will stay pressed down after the button is released.

Can the Essa bar prep faucet be used as a cold water faucet only connected to an under sink water filter? The water filter is not an RO type.
Thank you for your question, jomo! This bar prep faucet is not recommended to be used with a filtered system. We would recommend a beverage faucet as they have only one supply line and are designed to be a cold water dispenser only. These models are designed to compliment various collections and can be used with filtered or Reverse Osmosis machines.

Whats the difference between a kitchen faucet and a prep faucet??

the difference between the Delta Essa kitchen and bar/prep faucets is the height and reach of the spout assemblies. The Bar/Prep 9913-DST faucet is smaller in size than the kitchen 9113-DST standard kitchen faucet.

Have just installed this faucet and it is putting out about a quart a minute. I have checked the screen in the nozzle and it appear totally clean. Other faucets in the house work just fine with flow several times the new faucet. What can I do?

Thank you for your inquiry! Most issues with low flow, such as yours, are due to some kind of debris entering the faucet from your water line, which can cause noises as the debris moves, or cause low or sporadic flow as the water continues to move the debris around. We would advise flushing the valve body and Innoflex PEX lines of the Delta Essa Pull-Down Bar/Prep 9913-DST faucet.
To flush out the valve body, so that these parts do last as long as possible, please first turn off the water supply to the faucet. Gather an adjustable wrench, some towels and a bucket.
Disconnect the hot side Innoflex line. Move the handle to the full on position, middle temp.
Point the hot side Innoflex line into a bucket. Turn on the cold supply valve full.
Let a gallon or two flow into the bucket. Shut off cold supply.
Check bucket for debris. If no debris, empty bucket and run one more time.
Move handle to off position.
Reattach hot side line. Turn on both water supply valves.
