Rated 2 out of 5 by from Beautiful but... I absolutely love the look of this but less than two months in, it started intermittently leaking from the spray nozzle. I've cleaned the nozzle numerous times and tried everything to get it to stop to no avail. VERY disappointing. I did not expect this so early in it's lifetime and it is not returnable.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Magnetic ring detached and broke. Hi, is an excellent product, I would like to know if you sell the magnetic ring, is not on your parts list. Mine detached from the goose neck, and it broke. Is a metal magnetic ring. I Really need this part and instructions of how to attach it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Overengineered. The solenoid ("brain") failed and had to be replaced within the first 3 months after installation. Delta sent a new solenoid which seemed to work fine. However, two years later, it is again malfunctioning. If you turn on the faucet, it randomly turns itself off without being touched. It is very annoying and I'd just as soon have a traditional faucet that works with the handle for on & off. No more of the touch on & off. The six batteries need to be replaced about every four months; expensive and also very annoying. The spray feature works very well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One Way to Improve a Beautiful Faucet. The faucet is beautiful. I would have appreciated better, easier-to-follow directions for the on/off feature. I'm still working on the temperature feature.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Hot and cold labels not consistent I have both this faucet and the Trinsic single-handle bathroom vanity faucet. The cold and hot label are in the opposite direction. For one faucet, when you pull towards the wall, it is hot; in the other, it is cold. It is dangerous for young children, and annoying for us and guests as it is not consistent. Is there any way this can be fixed?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great!! But handle needs a cover. Installed this a few years ago: Love it! However the handle needs a cover so it doesn’t activate the on/off switch for water supply when trying regulate the volume/temp. Frustrating but manageable. Hopefully Delta has a handle cover (can’t find one).

We use the plug-in adapter and not the battery pack. What if I have the valve Open for daily touch on/off usage and when I am gone, the power goes out. With no power and the valve in the open position, will the water just flow til I return?

Asked by: Pete
Hi Pete, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model 9159T-BL-DST. The Touch2O solenoid valve will stay in the current position if power is lost, so the faucet will not start running when the power goes out. We recommend also leaving the batteries connected when using the plug-in adapter to more easily use the faucet if the power goes out. Please reach out with any additional questions! good day, I have the Delta Triassic single handle pull down in Champagne Bronze. What is the best way to keep the faucet spot free? Cleaning suggestions!?

Asked by: juju
Hi juju, Thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company! Please accept our sincere apology for the inconvenience you are experiencing with your Trinsic® Single Handle Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet With Touch2O® Technology In Champagne Bronze MODEL#: 9159T-CZ-DST. Here is what we can do to resolve your issue for you. Always blot dry any water from the faucet surface. Allowing water to evaporate on the surface can lead to a build-up of mineral deposits. Cleaning with a damp non-abrasive sponge and buffing it dry with a clean soft cloth should help keep your product looking beautiful. To remove water spots, use warm water and a soft, damp cloth. Hard water stains may be removed using a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water. Make certain that you rinse the surface thoroughly with water afterward. I have also included a link to our “How to clean your faucet” on our website, please see the link below. https://www.deltafaucet.com/design-innovation/inspiredliving/how-to-clean-a-faucet Thank you for being a loyal Delta Faucet customer. My faucet is now dripping once turned off. How do I stop this dripping problem from occurring. This wastes a lot of water over time. Is there a seal that may be worn out? My faucet is only typo and a half years old. Thank you!

Asked by: Chris 20038
Hi Chris 20038, Thanks so much for contacting Delta Faucet Company about your 9159T-DST! Leaking can be caused by debris not allowing the cartridge to seal properly, we would recommend flushing the faucet and soak the cartridge in a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water. If the leak continues, the cartridge would need replaced. Can you turn off the electronic part temporarily (maybe attach a switch as I would need to do it weekly) and will the faucet then run in analog mode?

Asked by: Drimah
Hi Drimah thank you for your interest in the 9159T-DST! The faucet can be operated manually without the Touch2O Function. For manual operation, first turn the handle to the 'off' position. Under the sink, make sure you have a bucket and towels ready for any excess water coming out. Remove the two blue clips on the top and bottom of the solenoid assemblies. Remove the water lines from the top and bottom of the solenoid. Remove the solenoid assembly entirely. Connect the two water lines together and secure with one of the blue clips. Turn the handle to the 'on' position to test. Please contact us directly if you have any questions or need additional assistance. Best Regards, Themar Digital Communications Specialist

My faucet is not providing hot water. Have removed touch feature 2 years ago. I am down to thinking the check valve is defective. I just replaced Delta valve at handle. Tried to clear lines and received drip from hot water service line. Check valve?

Asked by: Mike
Hello Mike, Thank you for contacting us, I would be happy to help you. Low flow is caused by blockage or debris, we recommend cleaning the bottom of the cartridge and puck with a soft cloth. Also we would recommend flushing, to flush the unit see the following. Start with the easy stuff: Remove your aerator, wand or hose to check the flow through the unit without that part installed. If the flow is good, the piece you’ve removed is where the issue is. Soaking the part in a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water could help remove any particles or debris blocking the flow. If the water does not have a good flow, the problem could be in the faucet. Next, check the supply lines for debris: Turn the supply off to both the hot and cold-water lines. Once off, turn the handle on the faucet to the on position and leave it there to bleed the lines of any excess water. Next, disconnect the hot water supply line and place it inside of a bucket. Once the line is securely positioned into the bucket, turn on the cold-water supply. Please contact us back if you have any questions or need further assistance. Best Regards, Nicole

Can the faucet be operated manually if the batteries are disconnected?

Asked by: Dave
Hello Dave! Thank you for your question and we are happy to help. We apologize for this information not being readily available to you. For Lavatory Touch2O and Touch2O.xt faucets, the only way to make them manual is to remove the battery box from the solenoid while the water is running. For Kitchen Touch2O faucets, there are a few ways to make them manual. 1. If you can get the water to flow, then the most universal option can be used. It does not matter which model or version for this method (excluding Pascal & eFLow). With the faucet running water, disconnect the battery pack by opening it. Or if you have an open battery tray, remove the batteries. You now have a manually operated faucet. The solenoid was open allowing water to flow through and is now stuck open because you removed the power it would use to close. Reconnecting the battery would close the solenoid and make it electronic again. Or 2. If the faucet is a later generation, the solenoid assembly may be removed, and the wand hose connected directly to the valve outlet tube. a. Open the battery holder cap. b. Disconnect the sensor hook(s) from the spout and/or valve shank. c. Remove the hose clip and hose from the solenoid. d. Remove the solenoid from the valve outlet tube by removing the clip or swinging the clip open. e. Reconnect the hose with the hose clip to the spout outlet nipple. Note: If the solenoid uses an RP60520 adapter to connect to the valve outlet, for example, the early Trinsic, Addison, and Ashton … the pullout hose can be connected directly to the valve outlet nipple, not the adapter. a. Open the battery holder cap. b. Disconnect the sensor hook(s) from the spout and/or valve shank. c. Remove the hose clip and hose. d. Remove the metal solenoid clip and solenoid. e. Remove the adapter from the valve outlet tube. The adapter must also be removed to reveal the valve outlet nipple. The hose cannot connect to the adapter. f. Reconnect the hose with the hose clip to the valve outlet nipple. The faucet is now a manually operated pullout or pulldown. Or 3. If the solenoid Generation 1 or 2, and operational enough, we can directly energize it open. This is the least preferred method. These directions are in the M&Is, using the battery pack to reverse the power to the solenoid momentarily. Also attached below. This step can also be used on the solenoid for a Pascal if needed. With any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us directly. Thank you for being a loyal Delta Faucet customer. Best Regards, Carrie
