Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great brand I have yet to install this water filtration unit but in looking at it and inspecting it, it looks like it’s high quality and will work very well. It also is fairly compact, so won’t take up too much room under my sink.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Getting clean, good tasting water has never been e The Delta Clarifi 2-Stage Under Sunk Advanced Water Filtration system is a system worth installing. I have spent many years in the water treatment industry and I am keenly aware of how environmental conditions impact the overall quality of tap water. My wife is also very sensitive to the taste and odor changes that occur with our water and she noticed an immediate improvement. This system is a very cost effective approach to improving the quality and taste of tap water. The system easily fits under the sink and it’s very simple to install. The pressure is adequate and maintenance will be relatively easy. Delta is a trusted brand and this system is a great example of the brand’s high quality products.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from #fail Poorly designed. Leaks internally, then sets off an alarm - CS will tell you to tilt the unit to pour the water out of the tank (it is “tankless”), which happens frequently. Unit is loud and very busy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great water filter We love this water filter. It’s great that it has a built in timer to remind you when it’s time for a filter change. Our water taste much better now!

Before installing my water tasted horrible and was basically unusable to cook with. This system was super easy to install and use! It’s quite small and doesn’t take up much space at all. I love it so far!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Clean Water, No Fuss I installed the Delta Clarifi 2-Stage system under my kitchen sink about and it’s been a quiet game-changer. The water tastes noticeably cleaner—no chlorine tang, no weird aftertaste-and I feel better using it for cooking and coffee. Setup was surprisingly DIY-friendly, and the compact design doesn’t hog cabinet space. The digital display is a nice touch, letting me know when it’s time to swap filters. It’s low-maintenance, efficient, and makes tap water feel premium.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from VERY LOUD // PLUS I was really looking forward to using this water filter, but unfortunately, I’m disappointed. The unit is very loud during operation and after—much louder than I expected, which makes it disruptive to use regularly. Also, Why does the main unit not come with any mounting hardware for the additional filters onto the Main unit? This made setup frustrating still drilling into my cabinet. For the price, I expected better attention to detail and user experience. I hope the company can address these issues for future buyers. The filtration seems fine so far, but the noise and missing mounts onto the main unit are major drawbacks.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very loud and recirculates through the day. Ditto to Patty. However I can’t return mine. Delta even sent a new tank. Still have the same issue, and the water pressure coming out of the faucet is a trickle, and also loud.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Water Filtration System [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Delta DWQ1001012 Reverse Osmosis Filtration system has been a great addition to our kitchen sink, producing great tasting, clean drinking water. The compact design still allows for ample cabinet storage space and install was very straightforward utilizing the included QR codes and videos. Filter replacement is also a breeze. Highly recommend this filtration system!

Q&A

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How should I decide which filter system to use?

Choosing the right water filter depends on your specific needs, water quality, budget, and installation preferences. Our two-stage system requires a dedicated beverage faucet and filters more contaminants, while the single stage system connects directly to your existing faucet with minimal effort.

Start by identifying the contaminants in your water. Check your local water utility’s Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) using our Water Quality Look-Up Tool or test your water with a DIY kit or professional service. Choose a filter that fits your installation needs and is certified to address the contaminants you’re targeting.

Under sink filters strike a balance of convenience, effectiveness, and affordability for most households, especially if your focus is cleaner drinking and cooking water.

Is the filter system hard to install?

The Clarifi system is designed for simple, DIY installation and comes with detailed instructions through the user guide and installation videos. However, the difficulty can depend on your DIY skills, tools and existing plumbing setup.

Tools You Might Need:

  • Adjustable wrench
  • Screwdriver
  • Drill (if a faucet hole is needed)

Note that this system can only be installed to a cold-water line. Running hot water through these systems will cause damage. Any compatible beverage faucet certified for use with water quality systems can work with this system. However, for optimal performance, we recommend using a Delta® Beverage Faucet, available in a variety of styles and finishes.

What do I need to know about replacing the filter cartridges?

The filters will need to be replaced about every 1 year or after it’s filtered 1,100 gallons, whichever comes first. The system will use audible alerts and the LCD digital display to notify you when it’s time to replace the filter.

You can order the replacement filters through our website or other vendors. Other brand filters are not compatible with the Delta system.

We designed the filters to be quick and easy to replace. Simply remove the old cartridge and install the new one with simple twist and lock quarter turn mechanism.

After you’re done, the filter cartridges can be thrown away. They cannot be recycled but are not hazardous waste, so standard disposal is okay.

How long do the batteries last? Is there an AC adapter I can use?

The system is designed to only be used with AA batteries. AC power cannot be used.

The 3 included AA batteries last approximately 2 years with a multiyear battery life.

Why do I need to flush the system for 10 minutes after install?

The flush primes the filter, ensuring you don’t drink gritty or off-tasting water later and the filter is saturated for optimal performance. Until the flush is done, the water might not meet the taste or clarity you expect from a new filter.

The filters are made of food-grade, nontoxic materials, so the flush water is not dangerous. However, we recommend caution when trying to re-use this water by watering plants as the carbon particles may affect sensitive plants.

How do I know the filter is working?

There are a few signs you can look for to tell if your new filter is working.

  1. Improved taste and odor: To test this, you can sample regular tap water from a separate faucet and do a side-by-side comparison against the filtered water.
  2. Clean water appearance: No visible particles, cloudiness or discoloration should be present.
  3. Check your lines for debris or your home’s’ water quality. The more contaminated your water, you may need to replace filters more frequently.
  4. Effective chlorine reduction: You can use a chlorine test strip to confirm the carbon filter is working.
