Rated 2 out of 5 by from Soap Dispenser Soap dispenser came with faucet. Faucet is fantastic. The soap dispenser on the other hand does not dispense soap in any usable quantity anymore. When the dispenser is depressed it no longer returns to its proper pumping height. Inspection of the components shows that it will not rise back up after you push it down. Dispenser mount and bottle are fine. Its the internal plastic pump piston that has failed. Very frustrating and useless at this point.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy installation and fills from the top! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We added this to our island sink and we're glad we did! Installation is very simple. I was relieved to find that the dispenser is filled from the top so I don't have to crawl under the sink! You just have to pour very slowly, especially if the soap you choose has a very thick viscosity.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Soap dispenser does not work. Have used Delta faucets throughout this house for 24 years without a problem/part I could not easily fix myself. New Delta kitchen faucet came with soap dispenser two years ago. Dispenser no longer pumps soap. Seems as though spring action is gone but cannot find any evidence that there was a spring. Looking at the web site at part # RP50781, RP47888, AND RP21945, but do not know what I need.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from love the faucet but the soap dispenser is horrible, have had this product for less then a year. when the soap dispenser was installed was hard to operate took way too much effort to get out a bit of soap and i would have to pump it six times to get a decent amount. as time went on less and less soap came out and now its stopped working completely. it seems ridiculous that i would have to spend 60 dollars for something when all i need is the little plastic pump part. thinking about buying a cap to cover up the hole and getting a separate soap dispenser. Delta, if you look at all these comments, we are all having the same problem either fix the design or sell just the pump.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very unexpected cheap Delta Pumping Mechanism Since becoming a home owner over 15 years ago I have used Delta facets in my baths and kitchens. The reason great quality and extremely long life. Not so true with the purchase of my last Delta kitchen set. The faucet is again what i expect from Delta but the soap dispenser is cheap plastic and I mean cheap. It has failed the spout connection has broken in several pieces due to cheap plastic. Summary Delta you make great faucets please put the same Delta quality into the accessories. Would not recommend any of the soap dispensers if they are the cheap plastic stick with the metal types (durable concept for price we pay).

I darn sure am not going to pay $45 for a new one, I feel delta needs to step up the quality of any thing they include in a package deal, Part No. RP50781 is no good and I can't find replacement of just the pump. I don't need the whole assembly.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Plastic Soap dispenser handle I have a delta kitchen faucet and this soap dispenser for 3 years. Faucet is great. However the dispenser is made of plastic and broke easily. It is a piece that goes under stress to be pumped so naturally I expected it to made of metal and save some time for costumers not to ask for replacement.

Recently, my soap dispenser broke after a little over two years and i am looking for a replacement for just the plastic bottle attachment part. The price for the entire pump is too expensive. please help.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Purchase 8 months ago and broken!!!!! Ugh!!!! I purchased a Delta Charmaine Single Handle kitchen faucet with a soap dispenser. Having this soap dispenser clears my counters and has the soap readily available while prepping meals. The soap dispenser started to become wobbly on top and one day broke! It's made of a plastic that doesn't seem sturdy for pumping. I came to this web site to look for a replacement and I see that there are other problems with the pump breaking!!!! Now I need to purchase another and they don't come inexpensive!!!! I'm now debating on purchasing a Delta replacement. I wanted to replace with the same finish as the faucet. Faucet is great but I'm really unhappy with Delta's soap dispenser. It didn't even last a year!!!!!

The plastic bottle holding the soap appears to hold about 13 oz is is too small as it requires more frequent refills through the top and they are usually a little messy as well as inconvenient. Why Delta does not provide or even offer a larger bottle is simply a mystery because their competition certainly does.

The faucet and soap dispenser look great but the faucet is now dripping after only 2 years and the soap dispenser is broken. Have used Delta products in projects I designed but this is the first for myself. It is also hard to find replacement parts in stores. Need a new soap pump but having a hard time finding one.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Delta Soap Dispenser We bought the Delta High-Rise Pull-Down Kitchen and Bar/Prep Faucet with Soap/Lotion dispenser last April (2015)when we remodeled our kitchen. We love the faucet, but the soap/lotion dispenser no longer works properly. When you press down to pump the soap it sticks and then you have to manually pull it back up before pumping again. Right now it is just there for looks, as we are currently using bottled hand soap. I bought the soap dispenser to avoid extra clutter around the sink.

Pumps less than the Pfister one we replaced, but that's actually better because you generally don't need more than one pump. Ideally, the bottle would hold more, but it's ok.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Can't Believe They Made this of Plastic We built a new home two years ago, and I got the Addison Touch2O faucet with this soap dispenser. Have had some minor problems with the faucet, but this soap dispenser has progressively worked worse since we've had it. I assumed when I ordered it, it would be made of metal. We are custom home builders, and I've been too lazy to go to the supply house and order something else. I had a Grohe at my last house, and it pumped with a light touch. It's irritating that the nozzle is so short too. If you want to pump soap into a pot it has to be held right up against the quartz countertop.

What material is the soap pump - plastic or metal?

My customer wants a soap dispenser in champagne bronze that is metal, not plastic.

Hi Jeri, Thanks for your question. The Delta soap dispensers are a durable plastic. The reason being is the plastic will hold up better than the metal against rust.

can a cream type lhan soap  be used with this dispenser?

Hi, Warren! Thank you for your question. Our Delta Soap Dispensers can use liquid dish soap, liquid hand soap, alcohol based hand-sanitizer,and even typical hand lotions. Foaming soap will pump from the soap dispenser but it will not foam. Best Regards, Rosanna

There's a loose black rubber gasket & also a white sealant attached the bottom of the base that affixes to the top side of the sink. The white seal seems to replace silicone. Does the black gasket still go above the sink, or below with the plastic nut?
