Rated 1 out of 5 by from soap dispense pump handle I've had my faucet and soap dispenser assembly for just over a year. The pump handle/top has broken away from the pump tubing. This happened with normal use of the pump. The screws that attach the pump tube to the handle go into plastic which does not seem strong enough for this type of use. I am very pleased with the overall faucet, but disappointed in the pump dispenser assembly.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 2nd failure in two years. The delta touch faucet is very nice, but the soap dispenser is poorly designed and poor construction at the point of movement and leverage. After purchasing with the faucet 2 1/2 years ago, the faucet has performed to expectations. Using this dispenser moderately for a year - the plastic that holds the top piece in place broke. I ordered a replacement RP50781AR, and warned household members to be cautious of the poor design and press only on the large round portion of the part. Despite this knowledge and user caution, the second soap dispenser has failed at the same point as the first after about a year. If this designed to be used to dispense soap and not merely as an ornamental appendage to the faucet, the soap dispenser should be designed to take this pressure on its head as its the only moving part. Purchasing replacement RP50781AR at $55 plus shipping once a year quickly makes this part more expensive than the faucet through the expected useful life. Rated 1 out of 5 by from Soap Dispenser (RP50781SS) has failed... When we installed our granite counter top last year, we immediately chose a Delta faucet to complete the project. We loved the look and finish. Everything has been working fine except for the soap dispenser. It has completely stopped functioning. It no longer resets after pushing down on it. It's stuck in the down position. I attempted to clean it with no success. I've reluctantly had to resort to keeping a bottle of dish soap, on the counter, next to the sink. Something I no longer wanted to do after remodeling the kitchen. :(

I told my wife that Delta was a good name brand and that we should give their product a try. The faucet is living up to what I told her... Good quality. Works great! The soap dispenser fell apart with in the first year! We have a dish washer and don't even use the soap dispenser all that much! The metal top is connected to a plastic mount on the pump, and just broke away. Really disappointed in this dispenser...

After using this moderately for a year - the plastic that holds the top piece in place broke. The soap dispenser should be designed to take this pressure on its head as its the only moving part and that being designed poorly is not that I expected.

With the help of Jessica from customer service I received a replacement pump which has worked perfectly for the last month. A single pump now provides enough Dawn to make our Dobie pad nice and soapy! Please note previous review. Michael 2162

It is just my wife and myself at home and it broke when she was using it. This is a poor quality product to be sold by delta and I am very disappointed. I have a generic dispenser on my garage sink and it is about 5 years old.

Soaked in hot water to get rid of soap but doesn't seem to help. Will try and call delta tomorrow. The faucet looks nice but is light weight plastic. Spent hundreds of dollars on this.

The faucet has worked great but the pump quit working after a few weeks. It looks great but just froze up and would not pump the soap.

I've taken it apart, thoroughly cleaned all parts, reprimed the pump, but still no soap comes out. I hate to have to buy another pump because I'm not sure I'll find on the that matches the faucet. Any suggestions??

Overall very happy with the unit. Hoping for a replacement to be sent... of course I should have known that CS is not open on a Sunday :# I plan to reach out to them on Monday if they don't reach out to me first. Also have an additional question on the single handle faucet - it tends to turn because it will not stay tight against the granite! Is there a trick or component that will allow me to tighten so it will not turn #stay snug#. Afraid of over tightening and cracking the granite. Will follow up with another review after speaking with CS.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Soap Dispenser doesn't work Sounds like we have the same problem as "Techlore" our soap dispenser required 6 to 10 pumps to get 1 drop and now it doesn't work at all. We built our house two years ago and had the touch faucet installed along with the soap dispenser. The faucet is great, love being able to touch it and have it turn on or off. Soap dispenser is useless we now have to keep our Dawn bottle next to the sink.

However, I just had another one installed in a new home build and apparently the white plastic tube portion got thrown away by the install crew. I have not had any success finding a replacement for it without having to purchase an entire new dispenser unit. I wish there was a way to just replace just the plastic piece and tube. Other than that, I have been very pleased with the faucet.

Different installers, different manufacturer, same problem! My handyman says they frequently fail to work. The matching faucet works great and looks beautiful. Only the soap dispenser is a problem. If you are planning a kitchen remodel, DO NOT INSTALL A SOAP DISPENSER. I cut the hole in my granite so I am stuck with it.

I really didn't want the dispenser but it came with the faucet. I had the soap dispenser installed, and it worked great for about 7 months, and after that the darn thing snaps. I checked the dispenser top and it's just cheap plastic which snapped off, and the hose part just slide out. Trying to find a replacement part in a store is becoming impossible. Yah $40 is too much to pay for only the pump part, and then having to pay for shipping. <Sigh> major disappointed.

What material is the soap pump - plastic or metal?

My customer wants a soap dispenser in champagne bronze that is metal, not plastic.

can a cream type lhan soap &nbsp;be used with this dispenser?

Hi, Warren! Thank you for your question. Our Delta Soap Dispensers can use liquid dish soap, liquid hand soap, alcohol based hand-sanitizer,and even typical hand lotions. Foaming soap will pump from the soap dispenser but it will not foam. Best Regards, Rosanna

There's a loose black rubber gasket &amp; also a white sealant attached the bottom of the base that affixes to the top side of the sink. The white seal seems to replace silicone. Does the black gasket still go above the sink, or below with the plastic nut?
